Tiggeri och tiggare är idag ett omtalat fenomen som berör människor på olika sätt. Hur människor bildar sig en uppfattning kring ett fenomen kan många gånger avgöras av hur media framställer fenomenet. I denna studie presenteras en analys kring hur tiggeri och tiggare framställs i media över en längre tidsperiod. Materialet består av 30 artiklar publicerade i Dagens nyheter under perioden december 1998 ? december 2013.

The purpose of this essay is to examine and compare the news covering of Swedens three biggest cities (the metropolitan areas) and their surrounding areas with the covering of the rest of the country (the provincial areas) in two daily national newspapers, Aftonbladet and Dagens nyheter. Vilka inramningar använder sig tidningarna Dagens nyheter och The Times of India av i bild- och rubriksättning av artiklar om klimatförändringar? I vilka artikeltyper förkommer dessa artiklar och har antalet bildsatta artiklar och bilder per år förändrats från 2000 till 2009? Dessa frågeställningar har vi besvarat med hjälp av teorier om inramning (framing), bildretorik, semiotik och mediernas påverkan på människor.Vi valde att jämföra en svensk och en indisk tidning eftersom Sveriges och Indiens inställningar till klimatförändringar skiljer sig åt. Vi ville se om ländernas inställningar återspeglas i tidningarnas rapportering. Då Dagens nyheter och The Times of India är de största dagstidningarna i respektive land sett till upplaga, och informationen i dem därför når många människor, är det intressant att se vilka inramningar de använder sig av i artiklar om klimatförändringar.Metoden, vilken är en kvantitativ bildanalys, har vi designat med stöd av ovanstående teorier. Bildanalysen har bestått av tjugo variabler med tillhörande variabelvärden med vilka vi har kategoriserat insamlad data.

I en värld där terrorismen satt ett allt större avtryck är rapportering av absolut vikt. I den här studien undersöks hur media framställer terrorattentaten mot Oslo och Utöya från datumen 23 juli 2011 till 30 juli 2011. Studien utgår från två olika kategorier av tidningar, kvälls- och dagstidning, och därifrån har två tidningar valt uts för vidare undersökning. Aftonbladet (kvällstidning) och Dagens nyheter (dagstidning) får stå som exempel i studien för dessa två kategorier. Tidningarna är störst i Sverige i sin egen kategori och har stor erfarenhet av liknande rapportering.

2010 was the year of the wedding between Sweden?s crown princess Victoria and Daniel Westling. Although the wedding was partly financed with tax payer?s money, the newspapers did not investigate it further. The main theme of the published articles was lighter and with an entertainment value rather than finding out what the tax money really went.

Denna studie syftar till att se hur gestaltningen av det amerikanska presidentvalet 2008 såg ut i Dagens nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Aftonbladet och Expressen. Studien bygger på en kvantitativ innehållsanalys av ett avgränsat insamlat material. Valdagen inföll den 4 november 2008. Den tidsperiod som studeras är nio nyhetsdygn med tidningsutgivning från och med 2008-10-28 till och med 2008-11-06 för DN och SvD samt från och med 2008-10-29 till och med 2008-11-06 för Aftonbladet och Expressen. Studien utgår från gestaltningsteorin som den definierats av Kathleen H.

Denna studie har undersökt vilken typ av nyhetsmaterial som svenska medier publicerar på Facebook, samt hur publiken svarar på innehållet genom likes och delningar. Syftet med studien har varit att ta reda på om den traditionella nyhetsvärderingen speglas på Facebook, och i så fall om publikens likes- och delningsvärderingar samstämmer med mediernas nyhetsvärdering. Materialet som undersökts i denna studie har bestått av det totala antalet publiceringar under en veckas tid på Aftonbladets, Dagens nyheters och SVT Nyheters Facebooksidor. Genom en kvantitativ innehållsanalys har data samlats in över vilka nyhetsämnen som varit mest frekventa på Facebook, samt över hur publiken valt att interagera på innehållet genom likes och delningar.    Resultatet visar att den traditionella nyhetsvärderingen speglas i Dagens nyheters och SVT Nyheters rapportering på Facebook, medan Aftonbladets nyhetsvärdering följer de digitala nyhetsvärderingskriterierna.

Studien behandlar hur Dagens nyheter presenterade protesterna mot de karikatyrer av Profeten Muhammed som publicerades i danska Jyllands-Posten 2005. Kritisk diskursanalys har använts som övergripande teori och metod där även tidigare forskning kring orientalism och postkolonialism relaterats till det analyserade materialet. Analysen omfattar texter rörande ämnet publicerade mellan 2006-01-31 och 2006-02-07 i Dagens nyheter. Fokuseringen har främst legat vid vilka klassificeringar som förekommer samt hur muslimer presenteras i dessa texter, men även vilka konsekvenser denna mediala praktik kan medföra. De mest framträdande diskurserna i det analyserade materialet är förståelsen av en konflikt mellan yttrandefriheten och islam.

The purpose of this essay has been to examine the public`s view of the Swedish eldercare during 2006. This study uses discourse analysis as a research method, the reference material has been articles from the newspaper Dagens nyheter. The aim of the research has been to find central themes, conflicts and consensus in the discourse of eldercare. The analysis resulted in four main subjects which were based on four main questions; the questions of responsibility and execution, the question of contents, and the question of where the eldercare should take place. The analysis of conflicts and relations of consensus in the discourse of eldercare resulted in two different main views; the traditional and a more modern.

Det här är en studie om den svenska dagstidningsrapporteringen om inledningen av den arabiska våren i Tunisien, Egypten och Libyen under år 2011. Vår utgångspunkt är de tolv klassiska nyhetsvärderingsteorierna, med tyngd på geografisk, kulturell och ekonomisk närhet.Uppsatsen syfte är att få bättre kännedom om likheterna och skillnaderna i den svenska rapporteringen från de tre länderna Tunisien, Egypten och Libyen. Vi undersöker två veckor för varje land i Dagens nyheter och Svenska Dagbladet. Vi har valt att se tidningarna som en gemensam portal för den svenska internationella mediebevakningen.Vi har gjort en kvantitativ undersökning, när rapporteringen av upproren började, hur den såg ut och vilka källor man valde att lyfta fram. Vi valde också att göra en mindre kvalitativ intervjuundersökning för att förstå förhållandena för de svenska utrikesreportrarna.
