Kejneaffären i början av 1950-talet var en så kallad rättsröteaffär där en pastor Kejne anklagade rättstaten för korruption med homosexuella undertoner. I den här uppsatsen har jag undersökt hur tidningar framställde homosexualitet och homosexuella män i texter förknippde med Kejneaffärens inledande månader som medial såpopera. Den tidigare forskningen menar att det mediala klimatet var homofobiskt, vilket innebär rädsla och intolerans gentemot gruppen homosexualitet. Den homosexuelle framställdes som "den andre", som ett hot mot det normala samhället. Detta ville jag undersöka närmare genom att studera hur andrefieringen och det stereotypiseringen skedde.

This BA Thesis in Journalism is a quantitative analysis of the coverage of wolves in Swedish printed media. Namely four daily newspapers, two national and two local. The two national newspapers are Aftonbladet which is a leading tabloid newspaper with national coverage and Svenska Dagbladet which is one of the two major newspapers with national coverage, as well as coverage of the greater Stockholm region. The two local newspapers are Falu Kuriren, which is located in Falun and mainly cover the province of Dalarna and Nya Wermlands-tidningen which is located in Karlstad and mainly cover the province of Värmland. These are provinces which have a large wolf population.As the work progressed we found that the newspapers have handled the coverage of the wolf in, what we believe, a good way.

This study concerns how Muslims are portrayed in a choice of twelve news articles from Swedish dailies and tabloid newspapers on the aftermath of the film Innocence of Muslims published on YouTube. All articles are distributed in the newspapers Aftonbladet, Expressen, Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet in the period of September 11th, 2012 until September 30th, 2012.For this study, a qualitative text analysis has been embraced and focus has been on van Dijk?s Critical discourse analysis to the texts, with additional features from semiotics applied on the images.The theories consist of Critical discourse analysis, hegemony, ideology and power, postcolonialism and stereotyping.In the qualitative content analysis, concrete examples from the articles are retrieved and commented. These have been divided into various themes, which are trends that the authors have been able to distinguish in the analysis.The result shows that Muslims in the analyzed newspapers are portrayed as the others, unimportant and extremely religious, in a negative manner rather than a positive. Moreover the press has tendencies to generalize Muslims as a group.

Denna studie underso?ker hur media, i form av Aftonbladet, Expressen, Dagens Nyheter och Svenska Dagbladet, rapporterat om varg under 2010, 2011 och 2012 fo?r att sedan sta?lla detta resultat mot nationella attityder till varg. Syftet a?r att so?ka svara pa? om rapporteringen och attityderna fo?ljs a?t i ma?rkbar riktning fo?r att da?rav kunna peka pa? media som opinionsbildare i fra?gan. Eftersom vargdebatten tenderar att vara synnerligen infekterad trots att djuret a?r sa?llsynt a?r det intressant att underso?ka hur media skildrar det nationellt sett och da?rav ocksa? pa?verkar den majoritet av den nationella opinionen som saknar egna erfarenheter av varg.

The aim of this research was to describe how daily papers comply with the ethical guidelines of journalism when reporting on the arrest of a criminal suspect. In order to do this we studied how the arrest of a suspected violent serial rapist was covered by four newspapers, Västerbottens Folkblad, Västerbottenskuriren, Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet. The theoretical areas of the study were the ethical guidelines, and other ethical perspectives in the media, news value and general interest regarding news. The research strategy was a case study, and a text analysis was used in order to collect empirical data. Several readings of the newspapers resulted in four themes to analyse: Identifying, to judge someone unheard, show consideration for victims and criminal, the use of sources.

Inom kort publicerades artiklar i Dagens Nyheter och Svenska Dagbladet som ifrågasatte Skugges kompetens som kritiker. Uppsatsen undersöker dessa artiklar och hur de argumenterar för att upprätthålla respektive bryta mot de normer som finns kring traditionell litteraturkritik. Detta görs genom att utgå från Kenneth Burkes dramatistiska analys inklusive ett genusperspektiv.

Uppsatsen behandlar den svenska medierapporteringen kring Turkiet och EU. Syftet var att undersöka om det fanns några imperialistiska och- eller kolonialistiska tankestrukturer i artiklarna kring Turkiets EU-anslutning i Dagens Nyheter och Svenska Dagbladet. Frågeställningen ämnade till att undersöka två frågor. Den första frågan syftade till att redogöra för hur rapporteringen kring Turkiet och EU sett ut i DN och SvD från och med 1999-då Turkiet officiellt accepterades som kandidatland till EU?fram till 2008.
