This master thesis is made in co-operation with the Department of Forest Management and Products at the Swedish University of Agriculture in Uppsala and the Forestry Association in Stockholm. The purpose of the Master thesis was to describe how pre-schools in Sweden use forests and green areas, and to understand how different factors can affect the use of the nature. The purpose of the interviews was to create a picture of attitudes and routines of the pre-schools, in the matter of visiting the nature. The thesis is built on interviews where fifteen pre-schools in five large cities around Sweden participated. Among these pre-schools, five of them worked with special focus on nature, while the other ten did not have any particular focus connected to their activity.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka i vilken utsträckning och efter vilka principer eleverna i skolår 9 indelar sina texter i stycken, och hur eleverna markerar nytt stycke. Vidare studeras om det föreligger några skillnader eller likheter i kön vid styckeindelning och styckemarkering. Även styckeindelningen i förhållande till textens betyg studeras.Materialet består av 24 berättande elevtexter från det nationella provet för svenska i skolår 9, vårterminen 2004. Vid analysen av elevtexterna undersöks hur många stycken texten består av, vilken styckemarkering eleven använder, och vilka dispositionsprinciper, teman, referensbindningar och konnektivbindningar som finns och hur de relaterar till styckeindelningen.Resultaten visar att det enbart finns en ostyckad text i min studie, och jämförelser med tidigare studier tyder på att eleverna generellt sett blivit bättre på styckeindelning. Antalet stycken i texterna varierar och kan relateras till textlängd.

This is a final thesis in landscape planning, at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). The study examines the current phenomenon of amenity migration and the international discourse applicability of the a "Countryside DREAM" in a small neighborhood in Käglinge, part of the transit-oriented community Oxie just outside of Malmö in the southern part of Sweden. The critical starting point of the study is the how many planners idealize the dense city with its positive proximity qualities. However, since the late 1900s, many people have instead started to idealize living in more rural or naturally appealing landscapes, often just outside a bigger city, with good transit possibilities (both by car and bus as well as by train). The phenomenon of amenity migration ? the migration to a new, more appealing everyday environment considered to have more amenities, is very relevant today since many smaller communities are becoming more transit-oriented, allowing the inmigrants to work in some bigger, dense town while living in a small-scale, less dense semi-rural community. More dense transit-oriented communities are however also an ideal to planners in Sweden, but to what extent can Käglinge in Oxie ? a neither rural nor urban community - fulfill a possible countryside DREAM, and what role does the train station have in the in-migrants everyday life? The study has a theoretical starting point in literature regarding amenity migration, countryside ideals, representations of the countryside and the possible migrants themselves, giving a broad perspective on these related issues. The case study of Käglinge in Oxie is then presented, including interviews with Käglinges in-migrants.

This is an art-remix project that focuses on a DREAM about art and music remixed and made within a context of nonviolence. The goal is to create temporary (and in the long term hopefully stabile) spaces of peace. It will be done within places where change needs to come, where it needs to be heard/seen/experienced. Weapon exports from Sweden are increasing even though there is research showing that nonviolent resistance in conflict is more effective. In this essay I discuss nonviolence and how I can implement that in my work to find a meaningful work for both me and my neighbours.

By investigating the ideologies that are the core of many successful companies, we hope to clarify the importance of communicating these ideologies. The topic is examined by method of quantitative analysis and the main purpose is to determine; what do the companies think of their ideologies, and how do their consumers recieve them? A secondary purpose is also to investigate whether different kinds of consumers recieve the ideologies in different ways..

To be able to plan for the expansion of a town, one needs a vision of the future appear-ance of the town. It is the current issues (social situation, supply and demand, political control etc.) which decide what the ideal for town planning is. This is turn is the steering factor of the physical structure of the town. Therefore, the town's structure is decided by these ideals.In this report, I will present planning ideals that have historically been, and which criticisms that have been directed towards them. With reference to these issues, I will present those guidelines and ideals we have today for planning of our towns.

Stockholm Konstsim Herr har tills nyligen varit det enda manliga konstsimlag i Sverige. Och är ett av få i världen. I April 2011 vann de sitt andra guld i rad i tävlingen Men?s Cup, den enda tävlingen för manliga konstsimlag.Jag har i den här uppsatsen velat undersöka hur och i vilken mån deltagarna i laget upplever konstsimmet som meningsskapande och hur de konstruerar, gestaltar och skapar en manlig identitet i och genom konstsimmet.Jag har gått till väga så att jag har gjort några intervjuer och deltagande observationer, och i kombination med utvald teori byggt min analys på det.Centrala begrepp är maskulinitet, meningsskapande, identitet, hegemoni och tabu. .

Målet med uppsatsen var att se hur man producerar fram en reklamkampanj, framför allt hur man gör det för första gången samt hur retoriken kan bidra till ett lyckat koncept. Vilka förutsättningar krävs? Arbetar man på ett annorlunda sätt? Vilka medel använder man för att få en framgångsrik reklam? Detta har undersökts genom att intervjua personer som varit med och producerat den prisbelönta och världskända reklamkampanjen från IKEA  ?Drömkök åt alla? ur ett retoriskt perspektiv. Resultatet visar på en resa rätt i tiden  i hur man med ny teknik får fram något helt unikt..

My Exam work is about how to communicate with children. Reading for children is important and meaningful. They get connection with adults and inspiration to read and tell stories by there own. Therefore I created the draft to a children book. I made it up on my own.

The inhuman element in Djuna Barnes?s works has been widely acknowledged. So far the research has, however, concerned itself primarily with animality, thus neglecting the importance of things and thingliness in her texts. In this essay I outline a new way of approaching Barnes were things are taken into account as a vital element in her literary world, using theories on prostheses, fetishes and souvenirs. In Nightwood and four of the short stories, ?A Night Among the Horses?, ?Aller et Retour?, ?Cassation?, and ?The Grande Malade?, I examine clothing, interiors, collections, statues and dolls as objects that in different ways harbour meaning, DREAM, riddle, memory, history, longing and desire.

During my graduation project, I discovered a designopportunity to work with suspended ceiling systems inexamination rooms, as there is not much to look at whilebeing examined.The result, Twig Ceiling is an interactive nature-inspiredbacklit module with colored LEDs. Twig Ceiling has onelayer of pattern that is visible when the module is not litand the second layer of pattern appears when turning onthe light.

Studie- och yrkesvägledning i lägre åldrar har blivit ett allt mer aktuellt ämne på senare tid. Ämnet utgör grunden för denna studie, som syftar till att visa små barns egna perspektiv när det gäller deras upplevelse av karriär. Studien består av tio intervjuer med barn i 4-6 års ålder och resultatet visar att barnen har stor medvetenhet när det gäller karriär. Barnen kan berätta om vad ett arbete är, hur man får ett jobb, vilka som arbetar m.m., vilket analyseras utifrån begreppen self-concept, circumscription och images of occupations samt utifrån tidigare forskning. Några slutsatser som dras är att barnen till övervägande del kopplar arbete till föräldrarna, att de inte ser några begränsningar vad gäller könsroller samt att alla barnen anger realistiska yrkesaspirationer..

This essay is a study of the Swedish author Amanda Svensson?s novel Hey Dolly (2008). The aim of the study is to investigate the conflict that occurs in the storytelling because of the untruthful narrator Dolly. Using the terms story and discourse, from a method of narratology by Maria Nikolajeva, the purpose is to analyze how the narrator manipulates the reader?s comprehension of what is real and not in the text.

Background: Delirium is a common condition among elderly patients who are being treated in a hospital environment. However, a large number of patients are wrongly diagnosed. The highest risk categories to develop delirium are elderly people and postoperative patients. By understanding the patients´ experiences the nurse can formulate the care to make it easier for the patient. Aim: The aim of the literature review was to illuminate elderly patients´ experiences of delirium in connection with a hospital visit.
