The purpose of the study is to contribute knowledge about the representation of fiction
authors who have written in languages other than Swedish in educational school books
within the Swedish subject. This is done in relation to the school's promotion of cultural
diversity, a globalized world and to the Swedish curriculum. The study is a combination of a
qualitative and a quantitative analysis that takes its starting point in six educational books for
the courses Swedish 1 and 2. The analysis shows that all study materials include a broad
representation of authorships from Europe and the USA. The selection of authors from other
parts of the world is, however, limited.
Möjligheter att förutsÀga kvÀvegödslingsbehov i höstvete med Yara N-tester
The Yara N-Tester is a handheld chlorophyll meter which can be used in several different
crops as an aid to determine if there is a need of complementary fertilization with nitrogen
(N) or not. If the crop requires more N the N-Tester will recommend an amount in kg per ha.
The possibility to assess the need of N depends on the strong relation that exists between
chlorophyll- and N-concentration in the leaves of plants. In the multiannual trial series
?Nitrogen to winter wheat at different soil conditions? measurements with the N-Tester was
carried out at flag leaf emergence (GS 37). In this work the result of measurements, the NTesters
ability to estimate the need of N in winter wheat, will be presented for the years
2008-2011.

This essay speaks about the medial coverage made by the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter. The periods examined are the two weeks before the election day (5 September ? 19 September 2010). The purpose of our study is to find out if the newspaper was neutral and did not write in favour of any political party or political block in the newssection. After the elections in Sweden 2010 there have been discussions about the medias in the country being biased, and claims have been made that the news have been written in favour of a certain political party or a bloc.

The aim of this essay is to examine if the attitudes and the experiences of Ability Grouping are the same on different levels of the school organisation.I have chosen to answer the following two questions:· Have the teachers, the students and the headmaster the same idea concerning the educational model at the school, that is, the pros and cons of Ability Grouping?· Does the intentions of the curriculum agree with this educational model?I knew what I thought about the educational model at the school that is the object of this essay, after spending ten weeks at it as a trainee, but I felt that I would be interesting to know what the people who are part of that system everyday think about it.In order to be able to answer my questions, I used both the qualitative and the quantitative method. I interviewed the headmaster and five teachers to find out what they thought about Ability Grouping. I also distributed inquiries to 70 students from 6th to 9th grade to get their point of view. In the theoretical discussion I explain the meaning of different conceptions that I use throughout this essay.

I denna uppsats har innehÄllet i den första lÀroplanen för trÀningsskolan frÄn 1973 och den senaste lÀroplanen för trÀningsskolan frÄn 2011 analyserats och jÀmförts. Analysen har genomförts med hjÀlp av diskursanalys utifrÄn syftet att undersöka hur syftet/mÄlet med trÀningsskolan har förÀndrats frÄn 1970-tal till 2010-tal.  UtifrÄn analysen av de bÄda lÀroplanerna har jag identifierat det jag kallar integreringsdiskursen. Den gemensamma integreringsdiskursen för syftet/mÄlet med utbildningen Àr att eleven ska var en integrerad aktiv del i samhÀllet. Eleverna ska bli sÄ sjÀlvstÀndig och trygga som möjligt för att kÀnna en frihet i sin tillvaro. Den gemensamma integreringsdiskursen för syftet/mÄlet med utbildningen som har identifieras i min undersökning Àr möjligen inte sÄ förvÄnande dÄ en relativt oförÀndrad handikapspolitik har bedrivits under den tid som passerat mellan lÀroplanerna.
Barnbokens karaktÀrer ur ett genusperspektiv : normativt eller normutmanande
The aim of this paper is to examine how gender roles are described in two children's books and compare the results against the curriculum Lgr11 's values. The compared books have different aims though one of the analyzed books claimed to go against the gender roles and the other one isn?t. The method of analysis is discourse analysis and deconstruction of the text by using NikolajevaŽs (2004) pattern for stereotype gender descriptions and KÄrelandŽs (2005) analysis of story actions based on gender representations in children's literature. The analysis of the texts shows that there are differences between how the two books characters are described depending on gender. What emerges is that in one of the books femininity is valued high but instead it lacks equality between the sexes, while in the second book the main characters are described as equal even though the other characters are described in a stereotypical way.

The purpose of this essay has been to investigate the research and national initiatives regarding film and Cineliteracy in the Swedish curriculum.The results show that, after all research, national initiatives and the continual clarification from the Swedish National Agency for Education concerning film's place in the Swedish subject, the vision of students cineliteracy not at all obtain an obvious place in the curriculum.The research points out the main causes behind this result to be teachers' lack of expertise and the fact that the formal education for future teachers in the subject still upholds traditional views on the subject of Swedish.The initiative presented in this essay also show lack of continuity, lack of adequate professional development opportunities for teachers and lack of practical guidance manuals to help teachers to develop and educate their pupils in line with current research and visions. .

The theory for this work is the professor in literature Marshall McLuhans theories about Media being extensions of our bodies from the book Understanding Media (1964). The essay also discus and gives examples of definitions of what a text can be. This work examines and analyzes in what way the expanded conception of text implicitly and explicitly is being used in different Swedish governing school documents.
FÄr Jesus stor eller liten plats i religionsböckerna?
The purpose of this study is to examine whether the high school textbook on religious studies differences in how Christian ethics and in what way it is presented in comparison with the presentation of Buddhism, Hinduism and Judaism and itÂŽs ethics. The analyzed material is textbooks from the late 1960s to the 2010s. Due to the surveyÂŽs nature the focus is first and foremost the chapters dealing with religious ethical issues and what amount of pages or space the different religions are given in the books. The results from the textbooks are compared with the curriculum that is or was effective during the time the books were published. This is done to determine whether there is a clear link between the books and the guidelines of the curriculum.

Studien syftar till att undersöka förekomsten av hÄllbar utveckling i Lpo94, dÄ vi utifrÄn vÄra erfarenheter inom skolan inte har sett nÄgon undervisning för hÄllbar utveckling bedrivas. Ytterligare en anledning till att undersöka förekomsten Àr dÄ Sverige ingÄr i flera internationella överenskommelser dÀr det framkommer att undervisning för hÄllbar utveckling ska vara prioriterat. DÄ en ny lÀroplan, Lgr11, trÀder i kraft 1juli 2011 undersöktes Àven förekomsten av hÄllbar utveckling dÀri, dÄ studien syftar till att undersöka huruvida det skett förÀndringar till fördel för undervisning för hÄllbar utveckling i Lgr11 i förhÄllande till Lpo94. Vid analysen av lÀroplanerna anvÀndes en metodtriangulering, i form av innehÄllsanalyser, textanalyser samt komparativa analyser. Inför analyserna faststÀlldes nÄgra kriterier som utgick frÄn innebörden av hÄllbar utveckling, vilka hela studien sedan kom att bygga pÄ.
Informationskompetens i det svenska och bayerska gymnasiet : En jÀmförande analys av det svenska och det bayerska gymnasiets lÀro- och Àmnesplaner
This study is a comparative study of the occurrence and function of information literacy in the curricula of the Swedish and Bavarian Gymnasium and investigates the occurrence of the term ?information literacy? and shows through what other linguistic means the notion of information literacy is expressed in the curricula. The study also wishes to analyze how the notion of information literacy manifests itself in the different school systems. Relevant textual passages of both curricula are compared to each other through the theoretic lens of Bruce?s phenomenographic model of information literacy.

I maj 2009 slÀpptes den första betaversionen av Visual Studio Team System 2010. Den innehÄller en rad intressanta nyheter och funktioner som kan underlÀtta utvecklingsarbetet och höja den interna kvaliteten.Kvalitetsbegreppet inom mjukvaruutveckling kan delas upp i tvÄ delar: extern och intern kvalitet. Med extern kvalitet menas det som kunden ser, till exempel att rÀtt funktionalitet utvecklas och att den levereras i tid. Intern kvalitet handlar om processer inom företaget och det som kunden ofta inte ser eller Àr medveten om.Nyheter i Visual Studio 2010 har utvÀrderats i fokusgrupper tillsammans med rutinerade utvecklare pÄ Medius. Den agila arbetsprocessen har utvÀrderats utifrÄn observationer, informella intervjuer samt den teoretiska referensram som stÀllts upp.UtvÀrderingarna har resulterat i ett antal riktlinjer för hur Medius kan förbÀttra sin interna kvalitetsprocess.

The intention of this study is to find out how the English subject takes form and develops in the early years in school related to the curriculum, teachers, teaching material, students and parents. The methods of the survey have been classroom observations, teacher interviews, textbook analysis and a parentsÂŽ questionnaire. The findings of this study are that the knowledge of the teacher in and about the English subject can have effect on how the English subject will be presented to the students during the English lessons and the amount of the students oral production of the target language seem to depended on how much the teacher uses the target language in the classroom. The contents of the English lessons was overall structured by the curriculum. The parents and their interest in their childrenÂŽs education seem to have had an impact on how much focus the English language get.
