Sverige har bidragit med trupp till internationella insatser sedan 1950-talet. Detta har gjorts med bidrag från framför allt markstridskrafter men även med luftstridskrafter. Det dröjer fram till 2006 innan beslut tas om en marin internationell insats i form av korvettförband som bidrag till FN-insatsen UNIFIL i Libanon. Denna insats har fram till idag följts av fyra marina insatser, en förlängning av UNIFIL i Libanon 2007 och tre insatser i Somalia under åren 2009-2013. Beslutet om den marina insatsen i Libanon är för marinen banbrytande.

On the 10th of February 2011 Hosni Mubarak gave his last speech as the president of Egypt, on the following day he resigned the presidency after more then two weeks of violent protests against his rule, and with that his 30-year long rule over Egypt had come to an end. This bachelor thesis aims towards examining this speech using both qualitative and quantitative research methods in order to reach a useful analysis of the speech. The conclusions of this thesis is that several methods were used in the speech in order to win the listeners acceptance and approval for the speaker, and then to use these in order to soothe, or preferably to completely stop, the current revolution. The methods that have been found to play major roles in achieving this are; portraying the speaker, defining the listener, promises of improvements and of justice/revenge, and nationalism. Sociala rörelser som utmanar den rådande ordningens etablerade värden och målsättningar formeras ständigt, och utverkar nya kamper, på den samhälleliga arenan. Allt för ofta ses dessa rörelser som något hotande, som uttryck för irrationella utbrott av affekt, snarare än som symptom på grundläggande samhälleliga konflikter och kontradiktioner, vars artikuleringar bör förstås i relation till samhället som en helhet, och till dess dominerande diskurser. Och allt för sällan ses värdet i den kunskap som skapas inom dessa rörelser, en kunskap som ofta brukar komma samhället till del, men även förskjuta de gränsdragningar som konstituerar kunskapen, makten och vetandet.Utifrån ett studium av Förbundet Kommunist, en liten organisation inom den svenska revolutionära 70-talsvänster som hade sina rötter i 60-talets studentuppror, den så kallade bokstavsvänstern, diskuteras dels, på ett mer generellt plan, hur man kan förstå fenomenet sociala rörelser, utifrån teorier som står i relation till en marxistisk problematik (med teoretiker som Antonio Gramsci, Louis Althusser, samt Chantal Mouffe och Ernesto Laclau). Dels diskuteras och undersöks hur denna organisations artikuleringar kan förstås, i sin historiska, sociala och diskursiva kontext, utifrån en symbolorienterad kulturanalys. Främst fokuseras på den leninistiska diskurs som organisationen verkade inom, samt den "proletarisering" som organisationens medlemmar företog.

This is a thesis on the Intranet use in the European Parliament. We investigated the use from a multilingual point of view, but also from a communication perspective. What we wanted to know was how a multilingual group, with presumably different computer skills, in the organisation handle the Intranet information. What are the positive and negative effects of a multilingual information exchange over an Intranet? To find out, we sent a questionnaire as an e-mail attachment to all members of a chosen committee and their assistants.

Under 1990-talet accelererade avvecklingen av det fasta kustartilleriet. Det skedde samtidigt med implementeringen av Revolution in Military Affairs(RMA)-konceptet i Sverige, snabb militärteknisk utvecklingen och Försvarsmaktens omställning från en stor organisation med lång mobilisering till insatsförsvar med hög beredskap. Syftet med studien är att med hjälp av argumentationsanalys och kvalitativ textanalys, studera relationen mellan RMA och avvecklingen av fasta kustartilleriet, genom analys av Kungliga Krigsvetenskaps Akademiens Handlingar och Tidskrifter. Resultatet visar att fast kustartilleri spelar en viktig roll även i en värld präglad av RMA och modern teknologi. Det fasta kustartilleriet ersattes av rörligt.

Vårt syfte är att utifrån olika lärandeteorier studera läroplaner över tid med särskilt fokus på läs- och skrivinlärning. Syftet är att utveckla kunskap om LTG, dels genom att studera källan, dels genom att intervjua några lärare som arbetar under inspiration från LTG idag. Vårt syfte är också att sätta LTG i ett historiskt perspektiv för att klargöra det revolutionerande i det förhållningssättet. Vi har genomfört två intervjuer, samt gjort en textanalys av läroplanerna, Lgr 69, Lgr 80 samt Lpo 94 utifrån de olika lärandeteorierna, den behavioristiska-, den konstruktivistiska- och den sociokullturella teorin.Vi har kommit fram till att lärare som idag är inspirerade av LTG arbetar efter samma grundtankar som Leimar gjorde när hon startade upp sitt alternativ, där barnet är aktivt och skapande samt står i fokus för undervisningen. Vi kan även mot bakgrund av den behavioristiska teorin, som var rådande under Lgr 69, förstå motståndet till LTG och varför LTG var så revolutionerande för sin tid..

AbstractSedan Kubas revolution 1959 har landet genomgått stora förändringar. Denna uppsatsundersöker hur utvecklingen av Kubas sjuk- och hälsovårdssystem mellan åren 1959-1996 harpåverkats av såväl interna som externa faktorer. Detta har gjorts ur ett empiriskt och ettteorikonsumerande perspektiv. Statistik har legat till grunden för den empiriska delen och deteoretiska perspektiv som används är hämtade ur legitimitetsteori, biståndsteori ochsanktionsteori. I denna uppsats har vi använt oss av ett avvikande-perspektiv på Kubas sjuk-och hälsovårdssystem.

The purpose of this thesis is to explain one aspect of how and why the development in the third world is lagging behind. The precondition is that development through an agricultural revolution is necessary and that all countries benefit from trading. But these two conditions are not met today. By using the urban-bias and the world system theory I have analysed how the situation appears to be according to the precondition. It appears that both the urban-bias and the world system theory are essential to understand how and why the situation in third world still has not reached the same development phase as most other countries.

Why is the e-revolution of the Swedish film distribution lingering? In attempting to answer that question, this qualitative study depicts the distribution market of Swedish film and its actors. Thirteen interviews with representatives of the industry have been conducted in search of an understanding of the current situation. Two important conclusions are made. One is that the strong interdependency between the actors of film distribution is inhibiting the acting space of those who seek change.

This paper examines how and if the understanding of wedding photography has changed during the shift of technology - from analog to digital photography. It examines if the changed conditions due to the shift of technology have changed the habits and conditions for the photographers working with wedding photography. It furthermore examines what impact these habits and conditions have had on the pictures of weddings. The investigation is based on interviews of six photographers that have worked professionally before and after the shift of technology, as well as of pictures by the photographers taken before and after the shift of technology.Use of time and space has changed due to the shift of technology. The change has also had an influence on hierarchy among the photographers.

Companies have been tax planning for decades, the questions is if Internet has made an increase of companies than uses tax planning and which roll Internet plays. We are currently in the midst of the current information revolution and it is increasinglyimportant to allocate and utilize the resources spent on IT. To accomplish this, one solutioncould be to work together with IT. For municipalities, this can be a complicated process whenyou are dependent on the resources that are given and subject to laws regarding procurement,this places great demands on the Swedish municipalities.One solution could be to work collaboratively with IT across municipal borders, this studyexamines the advantages and disadvantages of this. The study was conducted using interviewand survey of various municipalities in the Gothenburg region. The study shows that there isjoint work across municipal boundaries but that communication sometimes fails, this provesamong other things that some communities feel they have a partnership with a municipality,while the other sees that they have no partnership.With the results from the study are discussed and problematized the current conditions thatexist between the municipalities today, and how they could change.

Open source software has recently been discussed, not least in media as a revolution in IT. A number of advantages have been listed in changing proprietary software into open source software. Examples of such pros are no expenses for license fees and improved efficiency. In spite of this, few users have made this change. One of the reasons is a distrust of the quality in open source software.

The purpose of this Bachelor thesis in religious history, is to examine how religion reflects in the artwork and in the architecture in old and new kingdom in ancient Egypt, also to explore how book of the death reflects in the artwork. By means of using the visual culture theory, I have analyzing the selected pice of art with myths and texts from the ancient religion, to been able to come the the results of this study. It was know that religion had a major part in the artwork of ancient Egypt, especially in the new kingdom. In the old kingdom pharaoh generally was in the centre of the art, but also the gods. In new kingdom they started to illustrate texts and myths from book of the death, and the life after death was of great matter.
