In this thesis, I discuss the impact Swedish national culture may have on Swedish diplomats. This is a qualitative study and I have used theories from studies of international negotiations to compare the oppositional results of those scientists with my interview material. With the help of my interview material from seven Swedish diplomats and five foreign diplomats I have compared their perceptions of Swedish culture, Swedish diplomats and their thoughts about the existence of an international diplomatic culture with well known sceientists of international negotiations. My main question is whether there is an international diplomatic subculture, without any national impact, or not. The mission is to base the thesis with earlier science and then compare and contrast with my interview material.

The company is market leading in Europe in the heavyvehicle industry, designing and building body systems for trucks.In their line of products is the hook lift called Livab, a flexible and uniqueproduct. The hook lift is often demanded by customers because its special ability tobe able to operate in situations with low roof clearance. The main operation principleof the hook lift can be described as a truck stand, laid down.There are two main versions of the hook lift Livab, AL 26 and AL 32. These are ofdifferent load capacity, 17 and 25 metric tons of gross weight respectively.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka hur väl webbplatsen för Karlstad Universitetsbibliotek möter studenters behov på mobila enheter, samt huruvida de anser att en biblioteksapp skulle utgöra ett behövligt komplement i framtiden. Uppsatsen riktar sig främst till Karlstads Universitetsbibliotek men kan även tänkas vara av intresse för bibliotek vid liknande lärosäten.För ändamålet upprättades två prototyper, varav den ena representerade befintlig webbplats på mobiltelefoner, medan den andra utgjorde ett exempel på hur en biblioteksapp skulle kunna se ut. Under jämförelsetester fick sedan studenter genomföra en grupprumsbokning och söka upp en elektronisk resurs i respektive prototyp samt besvara enkätfrågor.Av resultatet att döma finns ett intresse kring en biblioteksapp bland Karlstad Universitets studenter, då de gärna vill ha tillgång till bibliotekets tjänster på sina mobiltelefoner även om befintlig webbplats upplevs som krånglig på denna plattform. Aim: The aim of present study was to determine the frequency of taste and smell disorders occuring in patients receiving chemotherapy for cancer. Methods: The study was of an empirical cross sectional quantitative descriptive design. During one month, consecutive cancer patients at outpatient units in two Swedish hospitals were asked to participate in the study by completing a questionnaire that had been developed previously for a similar study. All participants had undergone at least 1 cycle of intravenous chemotherapy or  a minimum of seven days of oral chemotherapy. Results: A total of 102 patients completed the questionnaire.

In this research paper I have interpreted and analysed how it is possible for a Radical Right Populist Party such as FPÖ (The Freedom Party) to obtain electoral success in the end of the last millennium. In 1999 they were elected into the national legislative parliament with 26.9% of the votes and participated in the Shüssel government from February 2000. I believe this is an extreme case study and my method is the so called Disciplined-configurative case study. I?ve conducted this study by using earlier published research and than dividing these old theories into to three analytical categories.

In motorsports competition, safety reasons require that the vehicle is equipped with some form of protective roll cage. The roll cage should withstand the forces involved in a collision to protect the driver and the co-driver from the vehicle body deformation. The roll cage also works to protect the vehicle from excessive deformations to more easily make any repairs afterwards. For the roll cage to be certified and approved for motorsports competition, it requires that the cage is built after one of the recommended options. One of those options is to design the roll cage like a cross-construction at the driver and co-driver doors.

Detta examensarbete syftade till att utveckla en tredimensionell virtuell miljö, där användare kan konversera och umgås med folk från hela världen. Miljön skall vara åtkomlig via en webbplats och vara kopplad till Lovemates, en chat utvecklad i Macromedia Flash 5.0. Examensarbetet bestod av följande delar: • Undersöka vilket webbläsarplugin som var lämpligt att använda till en sådan applikation. • Utveckla Lovemates3D med hjälp av valt plugin. Uppgiften löstes genom att söka på Internet efter tänkbara webbläsarplugin, jämföra dess för- och nackdelar med varandra och välja ett av dessa som plattform vid utveckling av Lovemates3D.

Background: To be better able to meet the new competition, companies are seeking new competitive advantages, wich is forcing them to review and, in time, change both working methods and corporate structures. This has led to an increased interest in the development of strategies within the field of Knowledge Management. Objective: The objective of this thesis is to improve understanding of how learning in a company occurs over internal boundaries and to investigate whether individuals need to be motivated in this regard. We also aim to give recommendations as to how this can be developed. Furthermore, we will work out a model that explains the learning process.

Olyckor är vanliga inom sjöfarten. För den akut medicinska behandlingen finns god beredskap ochtydliga riktlinjer. För den akut psykiska behandlingen saknas klara råd. Denna studie undersökerrådande riktlinjer och praxis för det psykiska stödet. Studien syftar på att klargöra vad det finns förmöjlighet att utveckla det psykiska stödet i det akuta skedet efter en incident ombord på svenskafartyg.

Train travel has increased in Sweden, and future increase of train transports putdemands on the already vastly exploited railroad net. The increased need of capacitycan be seen in the ongoing and planned expansions of the railway track. One part ofthe railroad infrastructure which is affected by an increase of travellers is the design ofthe station platform. Since the platform is the place where the traveller meets thetrain, dangerous situations can occur in this environment. A number of studies focuson single safety risks, albeit there is no research to show the full picture of safety inthe platform environment.This study aims to treat and put together a compilation of risks for the traveller in theplatform environment in the form of a checklist, which can be used as support inplanning and design of a safer platform environment for existing or planned platforms.The thesis has, through case studies of five ongoing projects within the NationalRailroad Administration (Banverket), interviews with train company personnel andinternational railroad administrators, identified and treated safety (and security) risksin the platform environment.The conclusion of the study is that the relations between the traveller, the physicalplatform environment and the project organisation are important to explore andexploit when designing effective safety measures.

Två upplevelseproducenter har i den här examensuppsatsen undersökt begreppet autenticitet, hur det ter sig och vad detta innebär i musik som sådan men även som en upplevelseprodukt i musikbranschen. Med ett hermeneutiskt synsätt har vi valt att göra fyra stycken kvalitativa intervjuer med musiker och andra nyckelpersoner inom musikbranschen.Vi har inte presenterat ett klart och tydligt svar, det skulle inte göra ett komplext ämne som detta rättvisa, utan istället utarbetat modeller som visar på ett förhållningssätt att arbeta efter. Den första handlar om ett förhållningssätt för att bibehålla autenticitet i bland annat olika processer. Den andra redovisar för hur ett sammansvetsat team som byggs upp likt en plattform kan vara ett hållbart alternativ för många, denna modell har vi valt döpa till KBM-plattformen, vilket står för Kreatör, Business och Management. Med denna modell vill vi visa hur dessa tre funktioner kan samspela.
