AbstractThis essay concerns a qualitative case study seeking to understand six boys? reading habits and to investigate why it is that some boys who do not like reading nevertheless display good reading comprehension according to the results achieved for that skill in national tests. The study shows that the boys? perception of reading has a lot to do with the contact they have with books when they are small. Whether or not there are adult role models in the home and whether the early encounter with texts in school is a positive or negative experience is significant for the boys? later attitude to reading.

Studien är baserad på företaget Electrolux och kommer att åskådliggöra deras tillvägagångssätt när det handlar om att, som ett av världens största företag inom elektronikbranschen, erbjuda konsumenterna något utöver vad konkurrenterna erbjuder.Den teoretiska referensramen kommer presentera litteratur inom områdena marknadskommunikation, konsumentbeteende och varumärkeshantering för att vi som författare ska ha en så bred grund som möjligt att stå på inför analysering av senare insamlad empiri. Studien har utförts med ett hermeneutiskt förhållningssätt av kvalitativ natur där empirin samlats in genom intervjuer med Electrolux för att sedan sättas i relation till befintlig teori. Därefter analyseras de empiriska data som samlats in för att finna meningsskiljaktigheter mellan Electrolux tillvägagångssätt och vad teorierna säger.

This master thesis deals with the Nobel Prize and highbrow culture as portrayed in Karin Alvtegen?s Skugga. From a sociology of literature perspective, it aims to analyze how these highbrow themes can be understood in relation to Alvtegen?s position in the literary field as a lowbrow crime novelist. The method used is hermeneutic, and the analysis is based on two theoretical models: Pierre Bourdieu?s cultural sociology, and the postmodern tradition where the distinction high/low and its traditional hierarchy is said to be decomposed.

The purpose of this study is to examine how consultants define conceptions of diversity and discrimination. There has also been an aim to find connections to the term intersectionality within the consultants? definitions. The link between consultants and academic research is interesting to examine in order to examine what they base their definitions of different conceptions on. In order to explore these definitions and discussions I have used the qualitative method of interviewing each consultant separately at different occasions.

Det råder fortfarande restriktioner på apoteksmarknaden som förhindrar aktörerna att sätta egna priser på receptbelagda läkemedel, vilka utgör 80 procent av marknadens omsättning. Marknaden karaktäriseras vidare av relativt homogena produkter, vilket försvårar aktörernas möjlighet att erbjuda ett unikt sortiment. I also want to find out how the teachers are using the outdoors environment and find out the parents' reason, when it comes to choice of preschool.Methodology The work is based on qualitative interviews with two teachers and two parents from each preschool.

The number of "emerging infectious diseases", EIDs, has increased in recent years and many of them have their origin in poor, tropical countries. The main purpose of this essay was to understand and discuss the problems the Swedishmunicipalities have when missing the profession in cultural preservation area. I have madetwo case studies where competence has been present in one and absent in the other. FurtherI intend to find out what material the Swedish municipalities needs in their work with theconservation of built environment.The first case describes Vallentunas main intersection and the adjustments needed toseparate it from the local rail road. It identifies what the municipality deems importantsuch as sight lines and access to the old church area. The essay investigates juvenile offenders experiences of the sanction ?ungdomstjänst? and how it may change attitudes towards committing criminal acts. The essay introduces qualitative interviews with four juvenile offenders, which have all executed ?ungdomstjänst?. The juveniles experiences of features that can be a part of the attitude change have been analyzed with a model of the motivation process, called ?Fyra F?, and four elements of persuading, which can affect an attitude change.

Some MNEs encounter frustration or failures when they enter a new market. The main reason is due to a lack of adaptation. There is a lack of theoretical study about the local adaptation phenomenon of Swedish MNEs in China. Most studies are at the level of experience. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out the dimensions subject to local adaptation and their degree for the Swedish MNEs in China.

The purpose of our study is to describe and understand whether, and if so, how social workers in school and in social services construct computer gaming adolescents as a social problem. We chose social workers who encounter adolescents with different problems. We have conducted qualitative interviews with vignettes to capture the social workers' reasoning about computer gaming adolescents and how they handle this in their work. The study shows that all social workers we interviewed had encountered adolescents with troubling computer gaming habits. In the study, all agree that computer gaming becomes a problem when it leads to deviant behaviour such as not going to school, staying up all night and so on.

Demens är en sjukdom som karaktäriseras av intellektuella och känslomässiga förluster. I ett senare stadium av demenssjukdomen utvecklas både verbala och ickeverbala svårigheter som leder till problematik i det kommunikativa omvårdnadsmötet. Syftet med studien var att analysera och beskriva det kommunikativa mötet med en äldre demenssjuk person ur vårdpersonalens perspektiv. I studien användes en kvalitativ ansats för att besvara studiens syfte. Datamaterialet bestod av nio intervjuer med vårdpersonal som arbetar med demenssjuka.
