The purpose of the rebuild of Notnäs AB timber sorting line is to renew the existing drive and turning ends of the transport chain, which has become old. This means that Notnäs AB have problems to get new parts if the gearbox and chain are worn out. They also require that the rebuild should have a maintenance schedule for the new spare parts that will be used in the rebuild. Maintenance workers placed great emphasis on that in a rebuild it shall be a service-friendly design. The maintenance schedule used in Notnäs AB in the current situation is from Statoil and the report uses SKF formulas and recommendations in order to obtain a lubricating schedule.

Stor del av ett företag och dess logistik kretsar kring de interna logistikfunktioner och hur de som företag ständigt jobbar för att förebygga flaskhalsar. En lagervariant som används för att skapa ett högre värde i en kedja är ett så kallat cross-dockinglager. I ett sådant förs ständigt ett arbete med att effektivisera processer med hjälp av olika tekniker och strategier. En teknik för att öka omsättningshastigheten i ett lager genom snabbare identifiering och spårning av gods som hanteras är Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).Syftet med studien är att belysa de ständigt återkommande problemområden som uppstår i ett cross-dockinglager samt hur en RFID-lösning skulle kunna stödja dess verksamhet.

Bakgrund: Bålträning kan användas vid prevention, behandling samt för att öka prestationsförmåga. Vilken typ av bålträning som är lämpligast för de olika ändamålen är dock fortfarande oklart, vilket till viss del beror på brist på tydliga definitioner inom området. Mot bakgrund av specificitetsprincipen inom träningslära och bålmuskulaturens olika indelningar och dess muskelfysiologi, vill författarna undersöka om en cross-overeffekt kan uppnås mellan två olika typer av uthållighetsträning, liksom träningens effekter på bålstabilitet. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva observerade och mätbara effekter av dynamisk bålträning på statisk uthållighet i bålmuskulaturen, och omvänt, samt de observerade och mätbara effekterna av de respektive träningsformerna på resultatet av ett bålstabilitetstest. Metod: Studiedesignen var single subject experimental design (SSED).

The goal of this work is to get as good a basis as possible to explain what the owners want for products and services when those doing business with buying groups in Korsnäs purchases regions: Gävleborg, Dalarna, Uppland and Frövi. It should also provide Korsnäs knowledge of the most important factors to consider in business with the owners. Another important aspect is to find out what you have done better at the business with owners, to eventually be able to preserve and take them into account. 300 questionnaires sent out to randomly selected owners in these regions. This is to find out what the owners did not have the products/services of Korsnäs. 29 questions were asked in the affected areas to identify what was missing and to eventually be able to satisfy them.

The supply of raw materials has always been an important issue in the Swedish Forest industry. Buying timber from local suppliers is important. To ensure raw materials to their industries the forest company must offer good prices and good business deals to their suppliers. The aims with this work are to find out how the contact between private suppliers of raw materials and how the forest company can be developed. To be able to do a complete study of the problems connecting with this subject a quality interview study has been done.

Denna uppsats grundar sig på ett examensarbete via Scandinavian Islands där syftet har varit att studera möjligheterna till att skapa en turistprodukt, utifrån temat vikingar, som kan förstärka och binda besöksnäringen i regionerna mellan länderna Sverige och Finland. Utifrån detta har frågor tagits fram i form av: Är det möjligt att skapa en cross-border produkt, i form av en vikingarutt, som sträcker sig mellan Sveriges och Finlands skärgård? Hur ser samarbetsmöjligheterna ut för en potentiell vikingarutt?, och Är vikingatemat något som skulle fungera året om, eller är det säsongsbetonat?För att besvara dessa frågor har vi utgått från framförallt kvalitativa metoder i form av intervjuer och informationssökning via olika webbsidor kopplade till temat. Den teoretiska referensramen grundar sig mycket utifrån turistiska perspektiv blandat med tankar från det kulturgeografiska. Under tidigare forskning tas exempel upp som både kan kopplas till temat och vikingarutten som attraktion, men även styrka teoriernas grundvärderingar.Under arbetets gång har vi kommit fram till att samarbete är något som viktigt vid skapandet av en cross-border produkt.

På dagens fönsterglasmarknad har produkter med samma funktioner och utseende fått olika namn. Detta är förvirrande och gör det svårt för en person som ska beställa fönsterglas att jämföra olika tillverkares produkter med varandra. Rapporten är tänkt som en översikt på de olika fönsterglasen som finns på marknaden idag och även på sådant som kan bli aktuellt i framtiden. In 2009 The National Land Survey of Sweden, Lantmäteriet, commenced a project intended to provide a new digital elevation model (DEM) of Sweden. The method chosen for the project was airborne laser scanning (ALS). In addition to information about the land surface the project will also provide information about the forest, this as a by-product. This data can be used to estimate forest variables such as height and volume. The estimates are often more reliable than what is standard today. This study is based on interviews with employees and members of the forest owner association Södra in southern Sweden.

Extensive planting of the tree species lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta var. latifolia) during the 1970s and 80s has resulted in large areas now being available for commercial thinning. However, the varying quality of the stands creates a problem. The purpose of this study was to investigate, at the Torsby district of the Stora Enso forest company, how well the present computer records of the stands correspond to reality and determine which stands are, from a qualitative perspective, suited for timber production. Finding variables that indicate better stands would give Stora Enso the possibility of selecting qualitative stands which are more profitable to thin. The study included 32 stands containing at least 70 % Pinus contorta.

AbstractPurpose/Aim: This essay deals with The Swedish Red Cross Society and their work concerning strategical information and communication about HIV and AIDS in the Swedish context. In a broader sense the relation between the global and the local will be investigated and a discussion about what it means to work in an organization operating on a global arena will be held.Material/Method: This essay is based on relevant theories about culture and health communication which I have studied, selected and put together, with purpose to analyse The Swedish Red Cross Society and their informational work with HIV and AIDS- prevention. Furthermore I have interviewed four of the organizations co- workers to collect data about their experiences in working in the Red Cross organization with this specific mission. Moreover I and my colleague Hillevi Good attended at seminars and lectures to observe activities held by the organization and to get inside information about what people working with HIV and AIDS are discussing and considering as critical issues. The study holds a qualitative approach focusing on understanding this typical case rather then generalizing facts in a larger sense.Main results: The Swedish National Society of The Red Cross has a difficult mission in their work to inform the public about HIV and AIDS, although it is the perfect organization when it comes to communication due to their well-known profile and a huge geographical spread.

A multivariate cross-sectional model is used in this thesis to proxy for expected earnings and to estimate return on equity for 214 companies over the period 2009-2013, using Swedish data. The model, which has never been tested on Swedish data before, is first confirmed to function as a forecasting model for expected return. Furthermore, the model is evaluated through a comparison with two univariate models based on the assumption that return on equity follows a mean reversion process. The number of sawmills in Sweden has decreased dramatically since the 1980s and the trend looks set to continue. The sawmills that are left instead becomes larger and are situated farther apart. In northern Sweden, they are concentrated along the coastline.In our study, we compared conditions for running a sawmill in inland areas and coastal areas and looked at what factors have the greatest impact on the profitability of the sawmill in northern Sweden.We chose to compare different locals conditions for a sawmill that only sawn pine timber and had an annual raw material requirements of 300 000 m3ub per year. By analyzing the kNN-data from the Swedish National Forest Inventory we have taken out the size of the timber volume at each site and its catchment. We have also looked at possible competitors in the areas that may affect the purchase price of the commodity.

The concept of the dynamic region has become a more prospering thought in the era of globalisation. This concerns in particular, cross border regions ? well-integrated territorial regions crossing more than one nation. In this paper I examine the development from a critical perspective and I map the democratic pitfalls of new territorial political constructions across national borders. The empirical analysis is a case report taken from the Öresund region, a cross border region between Sweden and Denmark.
