The overall aim with this study was to explore the understanding of how nursing staff - at a service flat in the county of Gävleborg, is related to the residents with intellectual disabilities, with regard to the residents' health. Five personal research interviews were conducted with nursing staff in a sheltered housing. The survey was based on a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews. Five nursing staff aged 27-57 were participated in this investigation. The analysis was conducted, by using a thematic approach.My overall findings show that Nursing staff have different roles to play depending on the situation in their relationship with the residents.

The focus of this thesis is the library at the Swedish school in Berlin, Germany. Being a school in a foreign country, and playing a role also as a public library, the conditions for the library are somewhat unusual. Considering those conditions, how should the library be organised and developed to meet the users' needs in the best way possible? To put the library in Berlin into a greater perspective, the first chapters of the thesis are dedicated to the issue of school libraries in Sweden; their historical development, their importance in the school curriculum and their present situation. Swedish research in the field of school libraries is presented and includes descriptions of theoretical analysing models.

This study has it´s beginning in the term corporatization and what the consequences will be for the Swedish athletic club, after the implementation of it. The corporatization among the athletic clubs is a very up-to-date-topic after the ?Riksidrottsförbundets? approved the new law constitution in 1999, that gives the athletic clubs the opportunity to change their legal form. We want to create an image that explains the situation in the two athletic clubs we choose for our study. This image helps us to give examples of how the corporatization will affect them.

Denna uppsats behandlar hur elever i år 3 uppfattar begreppet mobbning. Vi har med hjälp av boksamtal som metod intervjuat 42 elever i två klasser i en skola norr om Stockholm. Boksamtalen genomfördes parallellt i de båda klasserna i totalt 8 grupper om 4-6 elever.Frågeställningarna var; Hur uppfattar elever i år 3 begreppet mobbning?, Hur tycker elever i år 3 att man skall göra om en kamrat är mobbad?, Vad anser elever i år 3 om vuxnas engagemang på skolan när det gäller utanförskap? Vi fann att boksamtal som intervjumetod fungerade mycket bra och att eleverna genom att utgå från en fiktiv situation lättare kunde uttrycka hur de uppfattade begreppet mobbning. Under boksamtalen berättade eleverna om en situation av kamratförtryck i klasserna där en elev tycktes förtrycka eleverna i de båda parallellklasserna.

I samhället finns det ideella och statliga organisationer som jobbar mot kvinnovåld. Det är framför allt socialtjänsten och kvinnojouren som är de mest kända och framträdande aktörerna. Dessa organisationer har till uppgift att stödja och hjälpa kvinnan att ta sig ur ett misshandelsförhållande.

This is a study about the transition process and the consolidation of power in Belarus. In this paper the concept of "authoritarian state building and the sources of regime competitiveness in the fourth wave" is the major theory used. This paper presents an analysis of history textbooks used in schools in Sweden and Norway. The intention of the research was to study how the history textbooks describe communism and communistic dictatorship mainly during the cold war. The result of this study is that there were no big differences between Swedish and Norwegian history textbooks, but there are, however, some differences in how communism was described between the authors and also over time. Mostly, the books that were written in the post cold war period were somewhat more critical to communism in the eastern Europe (even thought they mainly handled with Stalin´s communism. Varje år förlorar cirka 3 200 barn en förälder i dödsfall och nästan 500 barn dör årligen i Sverige, många av dessa barn har syskon. Förskolan kan för barn som mist en familjemedlem bli en betydelsefull plats för barns sorgebearbetning. Syftet med denna studie är att fördjupa vår kunskap kring bemötande av barn i sorg. Vår problemformulering lyder:Hur bemöter pedagoger i förskolan det berörda barnet, vid dödsfall i barnets familj?Hur hanterar pedagoger i förskolan den situation som uppstår i barngruppen, då ett barn mist en familjemedlem genom dödsfall?För att få svar på vår problemformulering intervjuade vi fem pedagoger som samtliga hade erfarenheter av barn i sorg.

The purpose of this masters thesis is to evaluate bookmobile service as a decentralised library service. I have made a qualitative interview survey, with seven Swedish municipalities participating, all providing bookmobile service in their rural parts. The purpose with the interviews is to examine their bookmobile service. I have also studied articles on bookmobile service, and decentralisation through small library units in library journals, to get an insight into how the work with decentralised library service is done in Swedish municipalities. In this thesis answer is sought to the following questions: - Which decentralised library services are suitable for inhabitants and institutions in sparsely populated areas, considering factors such as number of inhabitants, proportion of old people and children, demographic changes, economy, possibilities to cooperate with other municipalities? - What is the current bookmobile service situation in Sweden, taking seven municipalities in the region of Småland as a starting point? My conclusions are that each municipality must decide which decentralised library services that best suites their needs.

This essay examines how the conflict in Libya in 2011 was reported by the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter and the American newspaper The New York Times. The purpose is to examine how the conflict is portrayed and what similarities and differences that exist between the two newspapers. We have used a quantitative content analysis and critical discourse analysis to get our results. In conclusion, both newspapers polarize the conflict to a large extent, resulting in a one-sided and biased account. However The New York Times is more objective and neutral in its portrayal of the conflict..

This essay examines how age, power and agency is represented and reproduced in contemporary Swedish picture books.This is done through a combination of discourse analysis and literary analysis.It uses theoretical perspectives from sociology, and views childhood as a social construct. It sees discourse and language use as both representing and constructing social reality in the tradition of Norman Fairclough and critical discourse analysis. The main results is that the discourses of childhood in the material construct children as a separate group in society, and childhood as a special time in life.
