Avvikelserapportering : en rapport om sjuksköterskors erfarenheter

The purpose with this essay is to investigate which factors that are decisive for nurses? propensity for incident reporting. The study uses a descriptive cross-section design. Included are nurses that works at a care unit and who have worked as a nurse for > 1than one year. The survey was sent out to all nurses embraced by the criteria within a subdivision at a hospital in the middle of Sweden.

AbstractWorking with child and youth welfare is one of the most difficult challenges a social worker might face in the field of social work. Those who work with child and youth welfare are more exposed to stress and burnout than other comparable human service occupations. Research links the prevalence of stress and burnout to several key variables, such as demographics, working conditions and personality factors. In contrast, even though social workers in this field face many negative work-related problems they report a high job satisfaction. The aim of this study is to examine how uplifting and straining experiences affect social workers, who work with child and youth welfare, through the use of The Critical incident Technique and interviews.

Vad gör man med en lågpresterande chef

Studien belyser fenomenet lågpresterande chefer i större organisationer.Den har två frågeställningar:A: Hur bör organisationer möta lågpresterande chefer?B: Hur möter organisationer lågpresterande chefer?A studeras i första hand teoretiskt genom den litteratur som finns i ämnet.B belyses genom egna intervjuer om erfarenheten hos några stora företag eller organisationer.Datainsamlingsmetoden har varit kvalitativa intervjuer och som analysinstrument har Hertzbergs version av Critical incident-metoden använts.Litteraturstudien resulterade i följande hypoteser:? De chefer som lågpresterar i förhållande till de sex företagskulturella målen och inte heller klarar att leverera resultat är på väg att bli eller är redan uppsagda.? De chefer som lågpresterar på något av de sex målen gällande företagskultur men klarar att leverera resultat finns kvar inom organisationen och är då föremål för åtgärder som utbildning, omplacering eller liknande.? Organisationers förväntningar på en chef är samstämmiga med de sex egenskaperna gällande företagskultur som den goda ledaren ska ha för att anses vara en god ledare samt en sjunde förväntan om kompetens och förmåga att leverera resultat. De brister som jag kommer att finna kommer att beröra eller gälla någon av dessa sju.Utifrån intervjustudien kunde bara den sista hypotesen bekräftas.Intervjustudien gav flera intressanta svar på hur organisationer möter lågpresterande chefer. Bland annat såg man Rekrytering, Utbildning/coachning och Omplacering som viktiga strategier för att undvika lågpresterande chefer. När det gäller förändringar på sikt sågs möjligheten att få bort prestigen med chefsjobb som en viktig del samt att alla chefsjobb borde vara på 3-årsperioder.

Mångfaldsarbete : En jämförelse mellan privata och offentliga sektorn

The aim of this thesis is to study whether social welfare secretaries experience occupational pride and what affects this feeling. Previously made research indicate that occupational pride is essential for performance and work-related health. Research has also shown that social welfare secretaries often experience unhealthiness due to working conditions and a lack of professional self-esteem.This thesis is based on four qualitative interviews which have focused especially on Critical incidents, according to the Critical incident technique. This study has a hermeneutic, interpretative approach. As a theoretical framework, Pierre Bourdieu? s theory on social space and positions aswell as Aaron Antonovsky´s theory on Sence of coherence have been used. The result shows that the interviewed social welfare secretaries do experience occupational pride.

Jämförelse av fallhändelsedokumentation före och efter införandet av en kvalitetsnorm för fallprevention

ABSTRACTAim: The aim of this study was to examine differences in the documentation of the case incident reports, before (FRP) and after (FRE) the introduction of a quality standard for fall prevention in the geriatric departments at a Swedish University hospital. Method: 51 fall incident reports were collected before the introduction of quality standards for fall prevention and 63 after. Differences in documentation between the fall incident reports were analyzed with a Chi-2 test. Results: Number of case incidents in which the use of the alarm mat was documented increased after the introduction of quality standards for fall prevention and documented use of shoes and walker decreased. The majority of all documented case incidents occurred inside the patient room according to both FRP and FRE.

Physiotherapists treat people with different views of the world and medical beliefs, which require a good understanding of cultural differences. One way to achieve cultural understanding is through self-reflection in a new context. During five weeks the authors, two physiotherapy students, completed a clinical practice at the rehabilitation center Pina Palmera, Zipolite, Oaxaca, Mexico. At the beginning of the period a Critical incident was chosen, when the head physiotherapist for the ward Cuidados Especiales intended to sell jewellery to the authors during a treatment of a patient. The authors have by using the reflection framework "Framework to guide reflective process", and Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) for analysis, discussed different ways of communication, adherence, education, and self-reflection and critical thinking.

The purpose of this paper was to understand internal communication?s critical tradition by studying the interface of the subjective experience and the objective behavior within a management team. During almost two years this group was observed, several semi-structured interviews were conducted and a specific incident was analyzed. The interview texts where analyzed, using the Meaning Constitution Analysis developed by Roger Sages (2010) at Lund University. The observations were summarized in sociograms showing relationships in the organization.

Vi och muslimerna : En kvalitativ studie om hur muslimer porträtteras i två olika nyhetshändelser

Previous research shows that Sweden has developed into a segregated society, although it has never been completely homogeneous. A greater integration led to vast number of diverse cultures and religions; therefore the Muslim custom came closer to the Swedish society.The purpose of this thesis is to study how Muslims were portrayed during the incident in Landskrona in March 29 2010 and the bomb threat in Gothenburg in October 31 2010. The study also focused on what Muslims themselves think about the news reporting that followed.We based our study on a qualitative textual analysis and a dialogue with selected people. Six news articles from various newspapers were analyzed and a total of eight persons were included in the dialogues. The study shows that news reporting has been simplified and misleading.During the incident in Lanskrona the newspapers headlined it as a murder even though the accused had not yet been sentenced at the time.

The construction business is one of the most accident prone businesses in Sweden. In order to make it safer it?s vital that all employees of a company report all accidents and incidents that occur. This report intends through qualitative interviews, to analyze the knowledge and attitude towards incident reporting among the employees of the Swedish construction contractor JM.The goal of the thesis work is to hopefully contribute to an increase of employees? awareness on those issues.
