Mångfaldsarbete : En jämförelse mellan privata och offentliga sektorn
The aim of this thesis is to study whether social welfare secretaries experience occupational pride and what affects this feeling. Previously made research indicate that occupational pride is essential for performance and work-related health. Research has also shown that social welfare secretaries often experience unhealthiness due to working conditions and a lack of professional self-esteem.This thesis is based on four qualitative interviews which have focused especially on critical incidents, according to the critical incident technique. This study has a hermeneutic, interpretative approach. As a theoretical framework, Pierre Bourdieu? s theory on social space and positions aswell as Aaron Antonovsky´s theory on Sence of coherence have been used. The result shows that the interviewed social welfare secretaries do experience occupational pride.
Public Relations - Positivt, negativt eller något däremellan? : En komparativ studie av unga och äldres syn på kommunikationsformen public relations
The public relations business has grown from almost nothing to a large international industry the last decades. Throughout the history the industry has struggled with a lot of critique and public relations has become a negative symbol for manipulation of information. Because of this negative view of the industry and the medial change taking place, the purpose of this study is to investigate how two different generations think about public relations. More accurate, the study will through a qualitative interview study explore how young people from a highschool in Luleå and elder people from Luleå township thinks about pubic relations, and most imortant why they have this particular view. By creating four focus groups, two with men and two with women, this also enables a comparative study between the gender. The focus groups were later analyzed and compared to two selected groups of theories on public relations, the theories were positive and critical theories compound in two categories.
Lärande i en flexibel IT-stödd distanskurs: distansstudenters upplevelser av lärande och interaktion i kursens online forum
IT-stödd distansutbildning vid svenska universitet och högskolor är en allt vanligare utbildningsform. Denna kvalitativa studie söker studenters erfarenheter av lärande på LUMA-GIS: Masters´Programme In Geopgraphical Information Systems (GIS) vid Lunds universitet. Det är en helt nätbaserad utbildning som är designad att vara flexibel vad gäller studietakt, innehåll, material och arbetsformer och studenterna väljer själva om och på vilket sätt de kommunicerar och interagerar med andra studenter och lärare i kursens diskussionsforum online. Studien är empirisk och har en fenomenografisk ansats. Den syftar till att förstå och beskriva variationen i upplevelser av och perspektiv på lärande och interaktion i online forum.

En studie om lärarstudenters informationssökning
The main purpose of this Master?s thesis is to contribute to anincreased understanding of student teacher?s informationseeking for their studies. The role of cognitive authorities andapproaches to the critical evaluation of sources are taken intoaccount as well as what student experiences of informationseeking imply for their future profession. The study takes asociocultural perspective and the empirical material is based oninterviews with six student teachers at the end of theireducation. The interviews have been analysed with a departurepoint in the research questions to the following themes; seekingand finding information, critical evaluation of sources and,analysing and using information.The major findings concern the teacher students? emphasis onthe importance of the critical evaluation of sources and theirscepticism towards Internet use, both for their own studies aswell as for their future pupils.
Medieteknikers attityd gentemot riktad reklam online
Idag är det vanligt att reklamen du tar del av online är riktad. Genom att använda din personliga information och sökhistorik online kan företag rikta reklam efter din målgrupp. Medvetenheten om att detta sker varierar mycket och beror oftast på utbildning och intresse för området. Denna studie var ämnad att undersöka attityden mot riktad reklam hos målgruppen medieteknikstudenter på Kungliga Tekniska högskolan. Med en utbildning inom medieteknik får dessa studenter en större insikt i relationen mellan människa och medier, vilket kan komma att vara intressant för studien.
Att lära av varandra : En kvalitativ studie om användningen av practice research.
The aim of this study was to investigate the production of knowledge that can emerge in the use of Practice Research by Mirror method. This by finding out what it is in the practical work that leads to the production of knowledge and how knowledge production takes form. The empirical data that form the basis for this study is recorded group within the Mirror method discussions and a focus group interview with social workers who participated in the discussions. Those who have participated are social workers with experience from working with financial aid support and only real cases have been used in the discussions. The results have been analyzed according to Lipsky's theory of street-level bureaucracy and their discretion and Fook and Gardner´s theory of critical reflection.

The objective of this study was trying to understand bullying focusing on the bully. The questions at issue were: What can contribute in the making of a bully? What are the benefits and losses in bullying? What are the former bullies? thoughts on bullying, now in comparison to in their youth. This was investigated with a qualitative approach from a former bullys perspective, hence three former bullies were interviewed. The result was presented in themes and was then analysed from a social psychological and social constructionist perspective.

Syftet med undersökningen var att undersöka vad dagens ungdomar har för värderingar och förväntningar till det kommande arbetslivet. Teorier tar upp ungdomsarbetsmarknaden som försvårar för ungdomarna att få arbete. Värderingarna bland ungdomarna har påverkats av deras uppväxt och ett individualiserat tankesätt har utvecklats. Arbetet ska innebära mer än bara en försörjning, det ska vara en del av identiteten. Det viktigaste på en arbetsplats är bra arbetskamrater och roliga arbetsuppgifter.

Hur mår dagens skolbarn? : En studie av skolbarns hälsa inom Umeå kommun.
The purpose of this survey was to map out the health pf some of the 11 and 12 years old children in the city of Umeå, as well as to find out what factors intend to influense the children´s health. A questionnaire was distributed in four 6th grade classes whitin the municipality of Umeå. Two of the schools were located in the city while two were located in near villages. This selection was decided in order to map out diffrences in health related to the children´s home environment. 80 pupils took part of this study.
Riskfri e-handel i Sverige?
Internet är en del av vardagslivet och har fått ett stort inflytande på hur människor idag lever sina liv. E-handeln är en del av helheten som bidragit till förändringar i konsumenternas beteende; hur de handlar och söker information. Företagen utformar sin strategi utefter detta för att kunna hantera olika moment i köpprocessen. Resultatet av ovan nämnda förändringar är tillkomsten av nya tjänster samt förändringar i användningen av sociala medier och andra marknadsföringskanaler, både från kunders- och företags perspektiv.Sociala medier används idag i stor utsträckning och företag försöker marknadsföra sig genom dessa kanaler för att nå sina befintliga och potentiella kunder. Den typen av marknadsföring uppskattas inte alltid av alla kunder och ställer då krav på företagen att de använder sig av de sociala medierna på ett gynnande vis för alla parter.

The purpose of this thesis is to gain understanding of how companies proactively can manage their reputation. The thesis analyzes three multinational companies in Sweden and uses two theoretical approaches - the reputation risk view and the reputation strengthening view - to gain an overall perspective of how companies work with their reputation. It focuses on investigating which key areas of reputation risk the focal companies identify and how they manage the reputation risks within these areas. Moreover, it examines which stakeholders the companies believe are most critical from a reputation point of view and in what ways the companies work with strengthening their reputation among those stakeholders. In order to find a general approach, the thesis investigates the similarities and differences that exist between the respective companies in the study.
