Då kriser blivit en allt vanligare del av organisationers vardag har forskningsområdet som behandlar detta växt kontinuerligt. Fältet kallas crisis management och angriper organisationskriser från två perspektiv, dels planeringen inför framtida kriser och dels hanteringen av krisen när den väl brutit ut. I denna uppsats har vi valt att fokusera på den förstnämnda aspekten och undersökt och analyserat hur Upplands Lokaltrafik AB (UL) utefter vårt teoretiska ramverk arbetar med planering för kriser. För att undersöka detta har vi genomfört en intervju med företagets informationschef, tillika ansvarig för UL:s krisplanering, samt studerat deras dokumenterade krishanteringsplan. Vår undersökning visar att de inom organisationen arbetar målmedvetet med de olika delarna av krisplaneringen, ett arbete som fortlöpande uppdateras allt eftersom nya lärdomar dras.

New guidelines and laws were set to try and improve the quality of the auditing business while trying to restore stained reputation. The aim with this study is to investigate the market reactions to announcements of special dividends and redemptions in Sweden and thus if these announcements can signal information. This study is an event study, where the event is the day of the announcement of a suggestion regarding issuance of special dividends or redemptions. The abnormal returns were estimated for two samples with the market adjusted returns model, one including special dividend announcing firms and the other redemption announcing firms. The signalling hypothesis and the hypothesis of a tax induced clientele effect are the most important hypotheses for this study. The efficient market hypothesis is another theoretical base that may explain the market reactions to the studied announcements, especially the pre-announcement activities that may occur.

We live in a society that has changed rapidly in recent years. The Swedish welfare state identity consisted of structures that had been formed from an emancipatory project. Today, these structures seem to have been erased and replaced by a different form of society. When a society is changing it affects the political, social and economic levels.In this social change Social Democracy seems to have lost its hegemonic position in society and describes itself as standing in a crisis. An effort to modernize the party has therefore begun.

IKT (Informations- och Kommunikationsteknologi) är något som idag präglar vårt samhälle vilket leder till att dess användningsområden numera enbart begränsas av vår egen fantasi. Att använda IKT vid kriser ser vi idag som en självklarhet, men hur ser egentligen användningen av IKT ut före, under och efter en kris ut bland kommunala skolor?Studies resultat, som baserats på svar från två kommuner belägna i olika delar av Sverige, visar att kommunala regleringar och policys till stor del styr hur IKT används vid krissituationer. Kommunen säger att all officiell information skall publiceras via deras hemsida, vilket begränsar i vilken utsträckning skolan kan använda IKT i krissituationer. The economic crisis has affected the airline industry as much as it has affected all other industries in the world. The small airlines and maintenance organisations must find new opportunities and options in order to survive the harsh crisis. Priority Aero Maintenance is now an approved maintenance organisation performing maintenance on aircrafts, engines and components. The company sees economic gains in the future by becoming an approved organisation that follows the European Aviation Safety Agency guidelines (EASA) and meets the requirements outlined in the rules of Part-M.In order for the company to become an approved organization, responsible for continuing airworthiness of aircraft, a handbook should be presented to the local authority. This handbook describes the company?s responsibility for the continuing airworthiness in order for the authorities to get an insight into the company and its work.This thesis resulted in a draft of CAME (Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition) and this draft has been approved by Priority Aero Maintenance.The CAME will in the future be used by the company as a basis for developing a more detailed manual to be presented to and approved by the Swedish Aviation Authority (Transportstyrelsen)..

The aim of this thesis is to analyze and examine India's economic reforms which the country introduced on the government's own initiative in the early 1990s after decades of practicing isolationism. The analysis entails a thorough systematic examination of possible factors that determined the decision to implement the reforms. These factors are derived from two models developed by scholars within the field of foreign policy.The research is performed through an examination where the possible factors for the reforms have been examined on a three-level basis; system-, state- and individual level. It is a qualitative case study that seeks to explain not only why the Indian government implemented the reforms but also to evaluate the validity of the models to the extent that they stand in accordance with the case of India.The conclusion presented in this thesis is that one model works better for explaining the case of India. The model lie emphasis on structural changes, a crisis and political entrepreneurs committed to a certain type of reforms as a prerequisite for policy change to take place.

Mass communication today stands for a great number of information in the developed welfare state of Sweden. This was also the case during the social and economic financial crisis in 2008-2011. At this point, the majority of the population chose to turn to the newspapers to look for further information. This essay seeks, in a comparative and theoretical way, and with the help of two theories of nationalism, to understand how the Swedish culture and tradition can be ex­plained via newspapers, and in what way these portray nationalism. What it also sets out to in­vestigate further is what kind of impact it might exercise over the population in its position as one of the leading providers of information.

Internationella händelser såsom 11 september och tsunamikatastrofen har förändrat förutsättningarna för resebranschen på många sätt. Bland annat har ett ökat säkerhetstänkande hos resenärer manat fram ett paradigmskifte gällande synen på krishantering. Syftet med denna uppsats är att öka förståelsen för och kartlägga hur en medelstor resebyrå hanterade den internationella kris som uppkom i samband med tsunamikatastrofen. De förutsättningar som gäller för utarbetandet av en god krishanteringsplan beskrivs och förslag ges på hur företaget bör arbeta i framtiden när det gäller krishantering.Forskningsbidraget med denna uppsats blir således att utifrån ett organisatoriskt perspektiv undersöka i vilken mån en krishanteringsplan förbättrar förutsättningarna för krishantering. Undersökningen har genomförts i form av en fallstudie, där tillvägagångssättet varit en kvalitativ ansats.

Det är viktigt att denna oro uppmärksammas och bekräftas för att inte ge långsiktiga negativa konsekvenser. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa ungdomars reaktioner när en förälder har cancer. Studien genomfördes som en allmän litteraturstudie. Nio vetenskapliga studier inkluderades i resultatet.

Intramuscular injections to cats can generate strong reactions in some individuals while reactions of the same extent, according to the author, not always are recognized when using the subcutaneous route. The reactions are probably caused by fear, stress and/or pain. When the injection can generate pain one has to take that into account, which can be a limitation in treatment. It is well known that injections generate pain, but knowledge about the cause and processes of the injection-associated pain is limited. This is mainly due to the difficulty in finding objects to study pain on, high cost of use of laboratory animals and difficulty to obtain objective measurements. Although there is evidence that there may be a local muscle injury by intramuscular injection, it is not always that the extent of damage is related to the pain experienced. Facts about the causes of injection-associated pain have been studied in a literature review.

The purpose of this paper is to examine how the Greeks in connection with the crisis in Greece is portrayed in Swedish newspapers, as well as the second generation Greeks in Sweden experiencing and interpreting the portraying and how it affects their everyday lives. The idea is to create an understanding of what happens when ethnic aspects is being portrayed in the media and how it is perceived and interpreted by second generation immigrants, and what this might mean for the impact of their daily life. The study is based, therefore on the following questions; how are the Greeks in connection with the crisis in Greece being portrayed in Swedish newspapers? How does second generations Greeks in Sweden perceive and interpret the portraying, and how it affects their everyday lives?The study's basic methodological approach is qualitative text analysis and qualitative interviews. Qualitative text analysis is to bring out the essential content through careful reading of the text parts and the context in which it is included.
