Abstract
Title: Yes logo! What defines a good logo?

Course: Bachelor?s thesis in Business Administration, 10 Credits.
Purpose: To find out which are the defining characteristics of a good logo,
from a scientific point of view.
Method: We have used a qualitative method consisting of interviews with experts
within the marketing area with the goal to test the Swedish point of view
against the one in the litterature.
We also used a quantitative method to investigate the publics attitude towards
the testlogos we created. The purpouse of this poll is to test different
colourcombinations and how the marketsegments feel about them. In this poll we
used statistical methods to make sure that the agelimits and the number of male
and female respondents are correct.
We executed another quantitative study towards Swedish marketing companies to
create an idea of the businesses thoughts about a good logo are.
Results: A good logo is a simple symbol or geometrical form consisting of a
combination of colours that reflect the company?s core values, visions and
goals.

This degree project has been carried out by Niclas Andersson and Sebastian Zwahlen, students of the Innovation and Design Engineering Program at the Faculty of Technology and Science at Karlstad University. The project was carried out during the spring 2010 and includes 22, 5 ETCS Credits.Initially the group had contact with the company Mavis möbler AB. Mavis gave the group the task of developing a new bedroom product. To assess the needs and problems of bedroom behaviors, an extensive questionnaire and several interviews were made. This became the starting point for further work.According to the results uncovered during the market research a vast problem was found with temporary clothing storage.

The reason for that a combination of these methods have been chosen is because the authors thought that it was a proper way to answer the essays main questions since these questions are of both qualitative and quantitative nature. Further the essay is built on an abductive approach.Conclusions: We have identified several factors that create customer satisfaction and customer loyalty among the corporate customers to Bergslagens Sparbank.

Keywords: Retargeting, branding Question: In branding, how should small e-enterprises work with retargeting? Purpose: The purpose with this essay was to identify how retargeting should be used in small e-enterprises when branding. This was done by comparing two e-enterprises practical use of retargeting, with two brand consultants and two retargeting consultants theoretical knowledge within each expertise. Method: A qualitative method with a deductive approach has been used to answer the problem statement. Theoretical framework: Earlier theories about retargeting, brand building and recommended practices, related to marketing on the internet, were presented in the frame of reference. Empirical framework: Primary data were presented by two respondents representing each area: Companies, Retargeting consultants and Brand consultants.Conclusion: The marketing tool allows companies and their brands to get the chance to appear in wide area networks on the internet. The tool is primary used for a sales purpose but the tool also has potential in brand- building purposes.

Background: The district nurse's competence description is comprehensive and sets high standards for a wide range of skills. The population's need for health care will rise according to life expectancy, lifestyle diseases and multi-morbidity increases. To graduate as a district nurse, 75 higher education Credits are needed and after graduation, the district nurse must have developed both personal qualities and gained skills that makes it possible to work in primary care, child / school health care and home care. Aim: The aim of this study is to highlight the newly qualified district nurse experiences in developing professional identity and describe on how this development affects nursing.Method: In the pilot study a qualitative method with an inductive approach was used, and data collection was made by four semi-structured interviews. The interviews were analyzed using qualitative content analysis.
Miljövärdeflödesanalys av Risifruttiproduktionen : En utvärdering av värdeflödesanalys och miljövärdeflödesanalys
This report is the result of a thesis work carried out on the Risifrutti production at the company Procordia Food AB. The thesis is at a master level and is the final work for the author to receive a Master of Science in Innovative production at Mälardalen University. The thesis comprises 30 Credits and has lasted for 18 weeks. The thesis is mainly a research on whether it is possible to perform an Environmental Value Stream Map (E-VSM) in a food processing industry and an evaluation if the tools E-VSM and Green Performance Map (GPM) are useful in this type of industry. An extra part to this research is to use the results from the E-VSM and give Procordia Food AB information on improvement potentials in the Risifrutti production. The author has found it difficult to collect some of the quantitative data to the E-VSM, mainly regarding energy, but by using the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) tool and other Lean tools the author was able to identify and quantify several wastes in the Risifrutti production. Recommendations for improvements based on these wastes have been given to the company. In the research part of this report the utility of the Value Stream Map, Environmental Value Stream Map and Green Performance Map in a food processing industry have been analyzed. The author has found that the Value Stream Map has been a useful tool since waste and unevenness in the tact of the production has been identified. The Environmental Value Stream Map and the Green Performance Map are also great tools when a company wants to analyze their environmental impact and then invest in environmental improvements. However, no profound energy analyzes has been done in the Risifrutti production because of the lack of energy meters for steam, electricity and compressed air in the production lines..

Methodology: We used a deductive approach as a starting point and after that study five different companies in border of media, advertising and event. Empirical framework: Based on theory have we study five companies, Starcom, Picnic kommunikation AB, Klassons Mediabyrå, 7billion and Hansens. All companies are in the border of media, advertising and event. Conclusions: The most important of our study of marketing is to proceed from the potential customers needs because the advertising is very individual. To catch the customers attention is new, fast and effective communication channels very important.

This report of 10 Credits is a C ? level essay in informatics.The report presents the result of our investigation. The purpose is to answer our problem statements:?How does computer-based graphical pedagogical tools work compared to traditional teaching aids? What is the users view upon the content? Is the information too hard or too easy? Does the structure work better than the traditional website design??Infact is a system that has as its primary goal to present information in a pedagogical way to let users of all ages and sexes learn from the contents. The information shown on the web page www.forskning.se is about Swedish and international research and the sites primary target users are high school students.In our investigation we asked a total of sixteen students divided into three groups a number of questions where after we started a discussion that we hoped would yield some answers about Infact and the homepage in general.Our main conclusion is that Infact is a good tool to use side by side with the textbooks and the traditional teaching aids.

The financial crisis in the beginning of the 1990´s the financial crisis had a strong impact on the Swedish economy. Some of the main actors in the crisis were the largest banks of Sweden which brought a huge amount of losses on themselves. One of the main reasons for this was that the banks focused on volume increases rather than on credit losses. The credit analysis process is performed differently these days and it is the development of this process that is the focus for the authors.This thesis is about the credit analysis process in the four largest banks of Sweden. Present study is an attempt to describe how staff perceive their working operations in seven locally integrated groups, for pupils in special educational needs. By submitting a questionnaire to all professions within the groups I have tried to find similarities and differences in their statements from both structured and unstructured questions. The study is an attempt to contribute knowledge about how these groups can be understood and developed, based on a special education perspective, systems theory and sense of coherence (KASAM).
The results shows that there is a consensus among the majority of staff opinions of the systems? opportunities as well as dilemmas.
