The first four AP-funds have a well-diversified Swedish portfolio, which is managed in similar way as the largest Swedish bank funds. Up until today, there has not been any comparable study that focuses specifically on this part of the AP-funds. Our aim is two-folded; First we will look at how well the AP-funds have managed their Swedish assets compared with Swedish funds of the four largest banks in Sweden during 2002-2006. This will be done by looking at some important key ratios and both absolute and active return. Secondly we will present a descriptive analysis of the management structure within the respective organisations, to be able to draw conclusions regarding the possible deviations in investment return.

Bakgrund och problem: De finansiella rapporterna för bankerna och dess analysvärde har kommit att ifrågasättas och aktualiseras i samband med finanskrisen. Eftersom bankernas verksamhet blir allt mer komplex, samtidigt som bankerna utgör ett fundament för ett välfungerande samhälle är vikten av att kunna bedöma stabiliteten i en bank högst aktuell. Värderingen av en banks verksamhet och riskerna kopplade till stabilitet är svårare att bedöma i en bank än för ett icke finansiellt företag. Vikten att identifiera de nyckeltal som kan förutspå stabilitet i den enskilda banken och minska bristen på transparens leder till forskningsfrågan: Vilka nyckeltal har ett högt prognosvärde när det gäller att utvärdera huruvida en bank kan anses vara stabil utifrån ett externt perspektiv?Syfte: Det övergripande syftet med uppsatsen är att finna nyckeltal som kan användas för att prognostisera stabiliteten i en bank.Metod: För att uppnå syftet med studien presenteras en litteraturgenomgång som karaktäriserar en stabil bank och riskerna kopplade till verksamheten.

This thesis has been carried out within the bachelor program for mechanical engineering at Karlstad University in collaboration with BAE Systems in Karlskoga. The purpose with this work was to design a mechanism and associated parts for loading and unloading of shots between primary and secondary magazine in BAE's new 40mm's ship gun.Parts designed or redesigned among other things a transfer mechanism for shot at loading and unloading, well as a hatch mechanism which makes the shots do not fall out of the primary magazine when making separate use. Various important details have been designed to maintain a good functionality of the mechanism.The construction work has mainly been carried out in the CAD software Solid Edge and its associated FEM module. The construction work has also been carried out on rough calculations for constructed details in order to ensure that they meet the stringent requirements of military use in tough marine environment. Two of the most critical parts of the structure where analyzed with the FEM module for estimating the stresses in the material at the applied load.The final design, which is a result of the thesis, meets the requirement specification and the set targets.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka och analysera hur bankpersonalen på ett nyetablerat bankkontor arbetar i förhållande till sina kunder och hur kunderna upplever det, för att fastställa om det finns ett samband mellan RM och lojalitet. Undersökningen är av kvalitativ karaktär men med en kvantitativ insamlingsmetod. Den datainsamlingsmetod som använts för undersökningen är en kundenkät och semistrukturerade intervjuer av personal. Studien visar att det finns ett samband mellan relationsmarknadsföring och lojalitet. Det nyetablerade bankkontoret har med hjälp av ett visionsdokument, en positiv nybyggaranda och specialrekryterad personal lyckats få nöjda kunder vilket innebär goda förutsättningar för långvariga relationer med lojala kunder.

Den vanligaste sparformen idag är att placera i fonder. Unikt för Sverige är den höga andelen hushåll som sparar i fonder. Hushållen står för cirka 80 procent av fondförmögenheten. Sverige innehar världsrekord i fondsparande och fondsparandet i Sverige är väl utbrett. De flesta av spararna vänder sig till sin bank när de vill spara.

This thesis is a case-study of an ongoing court case between the Swedish Competition Agency and Växjö Municipality about a set-up requirement to the long-distance heating system for newly built private houses on municipality owned land. This requirement was set up as part of the municipality?s long-term environmental goals; however the Competition Agency claims that the demand is damaging the free market in the municipality. The purpose of this thesis is to determine which normative assumptions the decision makers have based their actions and re-action on, and whether or not these assumptions are valid, thru theoretical ideal types. This is determined via method of textual analysis.

The main purpose of this Master?s thesis is to contribute to anincreased understanding of student teacher?s informationseeking for their studies. The role of cognitive authorities andapproaches to the critical evaluation of sources are taken intoaccount as well as what student experiences of informationseeking imply for their future profession. The study takes asociocultural perspective and the empirical material is based oninterviews with six student teachers at the end of theireducation. The interviews have been analysed with a departurepoint in the research questions to the following themes; seekingand finding information, critical evaluation of sources and,analysing and using information.The major findings concern the teacher students? emphasis onthe importance of the critical evaluation of sources and theirscepticism towards Internet use, both for their own studies aswell as for their future pupils.

This project consists of an adaptation, trial and evaluation of a model for practicing. Based on prior research I created a model aiming mainly to raise a musician?s self- awareness around the different parameters a performance consists of. An additional wish was for it to simultaneously assist the musician in monitoring his or her progress. With video recording and self-evaluation as the two main parts I tried the model by using it over a period of three months.

BackgroundToday a common approach to solve a complicated problem is to assemble a temporary workforce in order to solve the problem by working together within a project. One of the difficulties with working in projects is to maintain the planned budget. Working hours and costs are often exceeded. Many companies presume that any certain project will succeed, a presumption that leads companies not to anticipate risks involved in a project. In companies today there is seldom time for evaluation or moderation of a project, in order to have time for evaluation there is a great need for an adequate planning of the project.IntentThe intention with this study is to create a model for planning, budgeting and evaluation of projects within consultancy companies.MethodWith the help of interviews and discussions within the group Hamnar och Byggkonstruktioner at Sweco has evidence to present a proposal on planning, budgeting and monitoring been developed.ResultsA model has been developed to ease for consultancy companies to plan, budget, monitor and evaluate projects.

In the light of new technology health care is now given the opportunity to form a more mobile way of working that would bring about potential gains in terms of efficiency and quality. On the other hand, a more mobile health care also requires a more generous handling of personal information, something that may raise issues in terms of privacy. This study shows that the privacy of the patient requires two things: (i) that the personal information of the patient is handled in a way that generates her an overall positive expected utility and that (ii) the negative expected utility that each risk of an information leakage causes is offset by the expected utility it also makes possible. The first requirement (i) is shown, in comparison with today?s way of working, to be met due to the potential gains in efficiency and quality in combination with no increase in the probability of informational leakage or negative effects of such a leakage. The second requirement (ii) was also considered met since no separate risks of information leakage could be identified that was not offset by the gains it made possible in terms of expected utility..

Sjuttiotalisterna står närmast att ta över chefpositionerna när 40-talisterna går i pension och ingår i den generation som ofta benämns Generation X. Generationen Babyboomers och Generation Y var de generationer som föddes innan och efter Generation X. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka 70-talisters attityder kring arbete och chefskap. Efter åtta kvalitativa intervjuer, genomförda på ett bank- och finansbolag, utfördes en deduktiv-induktiv tematisk analys. Resultatet visade att intervjupersonerna föredrog en balans mellan arbete och privatliv, prioriterade kreativitet och autonomi i arbetet, sökte efter en engagerad, positiv och rak chef samt ett företag med många möjligheter till utmaningar.

How can a multi project organisation use Wiki to support improvement of knowledge management and project evaluation to become a learning organisation? The main purpose of this thesis is to give management and employees a better understanding of how Wiki supports knowledge management and project evaluation. The second purpose is to illustrate possible difficulties and pit falls that comes with the implementation of Wiki based learning. The theoretical framework initiates by explaining multi project organizations, then describes Argyris and Schöns theories about organizational learning and learning organizations. The second half of the theory chapter brings up theories about important areas for a learning organization.

Syftet med denna rapport är att undersöka hur en mindre bank med begränsade resurser kan marknadsföra hållbara aktiefonder mot privata kunder på ett lämpligt sätt. Detta är av intresse eftersom marknaden i allt större utsträckning efterfrågar produkter av detta slag samtidigt som det ofta råder bristande kunskap bland banker angående hur hållbara produkter bör marknadsföras. En empirisk studie tillsammans med en litteraturstudie har legat till grund för utformningen av ett antal rekommendationer. Resultatet av kundundersökningen visar att det finns en utbredd okunnighet på marknaden om dessa produkter, men även att det finns ett relativt stort intresse för dem. Enligt undersökningens resultat är en lämplig målgrupp att rikta marknadsföringen mot högutbildade, yngre män och kvinnor.

Banksektorn är en av flera tjänstesektorer vars företag är uppdelade i olika enheter där de sköter sin enhet själv samtidigt som de delar på gemensamma resurser. Trots det, är de relativt oberoende av varandra, dock är samarbetet däremellan oundvikligt. Samarbete och konkurrens är möjlig att kombineras i ett och samma förhållande, det så kallade begreppet co-opetition. Ett samtidigt samarbete och konkurrens kan ge upphov till negativa effekter inom företag, så som intern oenighet mellan enheter. Ifall de olika egenintressena är i konflikt med varandra kan det leda till att enheter tävlar mot varandra istället för med varandra, vilket påverkar balansen däremellan.

Based on a review of literature on evalution of public activities and in purpose to introduce amore general framework, this study describes a picture of the concept, context, motives,strategies, use and actors in Evaluation as these are experienced outside the field of libraryand information. The background is the increased need for" evaluations in public libaries and aneed for new LIS knowledge about it. The reviewed literature has its origin in differentdisciplinary contexts and the study include contributions from policy studies, sociologi,education research, business administration, philosophy and anthropology. The focus, though,is not placed upon differences in the literature but on similarities.The review is organised in six parts. In the first part a presentation is given of how evaluationsare conceptualized and its meaning in a historical perspective.
