Forest enterprises have always searched for ways to improve efficiency. For the past few years there has been an emphasis on stock-keeping levels. Increased demand for fresh round timber and the need to decrease the amount of tied-up capital has made the forest industry reduce its inventory levels. This has brought on a higher demand on the timber supply from the forest management districts concerning both delivery in time and assortment output. As a result, the flow of timber has fluctuated a lot with serious consequence for the timber supply during 1994.

Global catch fishery is said to been oppressed to its limit (Boyd & Schmittou, 1999), further implying aquaculture might be the only solution to the world demand for fishery products. Today we are living in a time were impulses from other places and cultures constantly grow and the contact over the boundary is getting bigger. We se satellites pictures over the world, we hear about worldwide ecological problems, we learn about other different lifestyles, we cock food that are inspired from the worlds many kitchens, we shop more and we can travel to different parts of the world. My problem was to find out how cultural phenomenon spreads to a greater extent global and how this transference take place, but also be able to se what factors that has a part in the cultural spread.What I found with help from my literature study was that trough improved communication and transports has gained mobility in the world and people can take part off others culture.The world is shrinking and this means that human beings identity is changing and this create a so-called hybrid mixture. Culture is what we human beings create. Culture can be seen as a community phenomenon for the most parts.

The war between Georgia and Russia awakened the world pretty brutally when a small country like Georgia tried to restore order in South Ossetia. The war between the two countries took place over five days in August 2008. This paper discusses the Russian operational art and its development after the war. The starting point is to test the traditional and classic Russian theory of operational art. The aim is to describe and discuss the Russian operational experience and any developments and trends in the Russian Federation's armed forces. The purpose of describing the theory behind the operational art is to create an independent analysis model. The essay?s analysis is based entirely from qualitative research with the collection of qualitative data in the form of texts and documents with a holistic perspective. Initially, the theory chapter is created from an inductive approach to identify, define and describe the operational concept and principles, creating a theoretical model of explanation. The developed analytical model is based on the Russian theory of operational art and takes off from a deductive approach to the collected empirical data. The results of the performed analysis results are interpreted and the product of this presented in the operational conclusions. Russia had a strategic ability to win the war by means of strategic resources related to tempo, simplicity and shock effect on the Georgian troops. Russia carries out a variety of reforms and the outcome of the war demonstrates the importance of Russia having a strategic capacity to make use of one in the type of conflict that Georgia represents. This success shows that the strategic capabilities are initially a success factor, while the deficiencies in the operational and tactical levels cannot be accepted in the long run, but must be developed.

Det finns föreskrifter, metoder och hjälpmedel för att förhindra stick- och skärskador men få skriftliga riktlinjer och rutiner.SyfteSyftet med den här studien är att undersöka operationssjuksköterskans hantering av stickande och skärande instrument i operationssalen.MetodStudiens design är en empirisk tvärsnittsstudie med en kvantitativ ansats. En strukturerad observationsstudie utfördes på Södersjukhuset i Stockholm. 18 operationssjuksköterskor observerades under 50 operationer.ResultatStudiens resultat visar på brister inom samtliga områden som observerats.

This paper aims to examine how and to what extent, a transition of Sweden according to the principles of Omställning Sverige (Transition towns Sweden), have the potential to contribute to a society with increased happiness.The paper is based on a qualitative textual analysis of the key texts in the Swedish Transition towns movement, Omställning Sverige. In the first part of the study the most important transition principles of Omställning Sverige were identified. Four key principles emerged: An altered view of economics, a spiritual change, a stronger local community and increased awareness. These transition principles were then analyzed through the lens of the scientific fields position on happiness, followed by a summarizing conclusion.The altered view of economics which Omställning Sverige advocates, where sustainability and quality of life are priorities over economic growth, is even necessary to secure our basic physiological needs. Such an economy has also improved conditions for economic stability, high employment and higher efficiency in the sense of happiness promoted in relationship to how many natural resources are used.

The investigation was initiated because of the high workload of the sellers and, additionally, because the Tunadal sawmill has received low ratings in customer surveys. Thus,  two main approaches are adopted here,  the first being to investigate which of the three methods  of working, namely, market divided flow organization, function organizationand flow organization with collaboration, proves to be the most beneficial. The second is to investigate whether there is an available method to ease the daily work. A literature review has been made in order to determine more efficient ways for the sellers to work in the Tunadal sawmill. During the investigation, an in-depth investigation into the total quality management using a balanced scorecard as a management tool was conducted.

The cause may be that some important factors have not been taken into account. The purpose is to investigate elationships within IT-outsourcing and test if specific factors identified by previous research are being concerned in IT-outsourcing relationships and also to investigate the view IT-outsourcing customers and suppliers have on business. Research shows that business relationships are widespread throughout companies. It demonstrated that a small number of business relationships can have a major impact on a company's financial performance and may create stability. Resurs- och miljöproblem ställer krav på en ny rumslig organisering av samhälleliga och sociala relationer för att en hållbar utveckling ska kunna åstadkommas i framtiden. I dagens samhällsplanering är det därför viktigt att planera för städer med en blandstadskaraktär, där nya stadsdelar innefattar flera funktioner. Detta dels för att öka den sociala hållbarheten och dels för att underlätta för ett minskat resande i vardagen.

A district heating plant has the advantage that it can take advantage of the waste heat from industries and use of cheap fuels to produce heat. But for the long term is competitive requires that energy is also saved in district heating plants. One way to save energy in a district heating system is to increasing cooling to the return temperature. This leads to less power needed to drive the distribution pumps,  and that more energy could be extracted from the same amount of fuel by an improved flue gas condensation.In Karlskoga the return temperature into the district heating plant is high. They would therefore reduce the return temperature in order to extract more energy from the flue gases.

Syfte och frågeställningar: Syftet med denna studie har varit att studera de fysiologiska kraven för BMX cykling, samt att jämföra kapaciteten på svenska topp cyklister för att se vilka skillnader som råder gentemot kraven. Under arbetets gång ska följande frågor besvaras: Vilka krav ställs på cyklistens fysiologiska egenskaper? Hur står sig svenska topp cyklister i jämförelse med referensdata från toppnationer?Metod: Kravanalysen arbetades fram via observation av idrotten samt av egen erfarenhet som aktiv för att fastställa vilka fysiologiska egenskaper som kan tänkas utsättas för mest belastning, dessutom granskades vetenskapliga artiklar som berör BMX samt andra cykeldiscipliner som förhåller sig inom liknande arbetstider.  För kapacitetsstudien testades 3 herrar (ålder 22 ± 4,36 år, vikt 70,4 ± 2,09 kg, längd 175 ± 5 cm) samt en dam (ålder 21, vikt 58,8, längd 169 cm), samtliga vana med daglig träning samt tävlandes på elitnivå. Studien delades upp i två dagar, fälttester respektive laboratorietester.
