The use of Internet by children and teenagers has become a special field of interest. Certain risks are associated with young peoples use of this media and national and international measures have been taken to assess and counter these risks.Library and informationscience have approached the subject of risks by looking at different software´s, so called Internet filters, that is used to control and censor the access to Internet based resources. In the USA, where public services and institutions that provide Internet resources to children and youth have started to require censorship of the Internet, a debate has arisen concerning the use of so called Internet filters.The theoretical basis of this master´s thesis is related to the conception of risk, gender and childhood. The focus of the paper lies on young peoples use of information and communication technology (ICT) and how risks associated with young peoples use of the Internet is constructed by different parties involved in supplying Internet resources. By means of a case study at a primary school in Skåne and at the company Netscan in Malmö.

This master thesis was a continuation of a previous study in the diesel exhaust characterization, which is part of the academical work embedded in the EMIR-1 project. The main objective of this thesis work was to finish the installation and make the proper modifications of the particulate mass measuring system located in one of the engine test cells at KTH, in order to be able to measure the mass of the particles from the exhaust of diesel engines.This experiment requires a diluted flow sample from the exhaust that should be sent to the device that makes possible the measurement of particle mass, called TEOM. In the first stage of this project, the objective was to study and make the proper modifications in the existing KTH diluter because there were several problems to obtain a constant dilution ratio from it during tests.This modifications were made and it resulted in a great improvement in the maximum inlet and outlet flow that this diluter can handle. Therefore another modification is proposed for controlling the inlet exhaust flow so it will be possible to regulate the dilution ratio and make it constant along a wide range of engine loads and speeds.The second and most important stage was to make particulate mass measurements possible by analyzing the frequency signal from the TEOM device. The idea was to obtain the frequency of oscillation from the tapered element in the TEOM, and therefore with the proper correlations, be able to predict the particulate mass concentration in the exhaust flow from the engine.An electrical problem in the TEOM circuit was detected and corrected, so the signal that carries the frequency from the TEOM can be analyzed properly.

Problemet med den designen är att den kan stanna av under överföringen. Ett krav förden nya designen av USB gränssnittet är att den ska kunna etablera ett konstant data flödeutan att under en längre tid stanna av mitt under överföringen. Syftet med detta arbete är attordna en stabil överföring mellan mottagare och dator. Gruppen har valt att användanuvarande kretsuppsättning och utveckla egen mjukvara.

This master thesis is about a place that has a story to tell. Olsson?s garden came about when Mr Carl Oscar Olsson acquired a piece of land in Landalabergen in the beginning of the 1930's and at that time he started his industrious work of uniting much of Sweden's flora in his garden. Since the very beginning Olsson's garden has played a lot of different rolls in a variety of situations and meant different things for different people. Today one can find traces from Mr Olsson's life and deeds in the garden.

Tidigare studier har visat att spänst och explosivitet är relevant för olika idrottsprestationer. Vidare finns det flertal studier inom plyometrisk träning som har påvisat förbättring av spänst i sprintgrenar. Dock har få studier gjort om plyometrisk träning för simmare. Detta finner vi uppseendeväckande då de studier som gjorts visat ha en positiv effekt och då framförallt i start och vändningar inom sporten simning. Syftet med studien var att se om simmare ökar sin explosivitet i starten genom att utföra ett åtta veckors plyometriskt träningsprogram i samband med ordinarie träning. I studien använde vi oss av en testgrupp bestående av sju manliga och tre kvinnliga elitjuniorer från simklubben Laxen, Halmstad. Testerna som gjordes var en repetition av max(1RM) på knäböj, long jump, squat jump och tiden mellan startfasen och glidfasen.

Historiskt sett har bostadsfastigheter begränsats till den areal som krävs för att fastigheten väsentligen ska få karaktär av en bostadstomt. En ökad efterfrågan på ett attraktivt landsbygdsboende resulterade i ändringar av fastighetsbildningslagen, vilket gjorde det möjligt att bilda stora bostadsfastigheter med kombinerat ändamål, helt i linje med den gällande glesbygdspolitiken. Fortfarande fanns det dock restriktioner mot att tillföra skogsmark till bostadsfastigheter för att skydda det produktiva skogsbruket. Lantmäteriet tog därför fram arbetsrekommendationer för att underlätta möjligheten att tillföra skogsskiften, bland annat för uttag av husbehovsved. Denna studie hade syftet att undersöka hur lagändringen med efterföljande arbetsrekommendationer påverkat bildandet av stora bostadsfastigheter på landsbygden.Varför människor flyttar är en viktig fråga för både forskare inom området och politiker, eftersom regionalpolitik bör anpassas till var människor vill bo och varför de väljer att flytta dit.

To fit into our society the dogs of today need a good mentality. To investigate their mentalitydifferent behavior tests have been developed. The tests are useful tools in the selection ofbreeding animals as well as for working and companion dogs. To counter the demand for atest that could be suited for all kind of dogs, regardless of their future function, the mentalitytest Beteende- och personlighetsbeskrivning hund (BPH) was developed. BPH consists ofseven subtests that expose dogs to various situations that can be found in everyday life, suchas meeting an unfamiliar person, sudden noises and suddenly appearing objects.The aim of this study was to find out if there are differences in physiological values betweenindividuals, validate the behavior observations during BPH and get aware of how the dogsexperience the situation.

Subklinisk mastit (juverinflammation utan synliga symtom) är vanligt hos flera mjölkproducerande arter inklusive får. I kött- och pälsfårbesättningar kan subklinisk mastit ge lägre slaktvikt hos lammen till följd av minskad mjölkproduktion hos tackan. Risken att lammen försöker dia en annan tacka ökar om de inte blir mätta av sin mammas mjölk. Eftersom de flesta mastiter är bakteriellt orsakade kan lammens tjuvdiande vara en potentiell smittväg för juverinfektioner. För att förhindra smittspridning behövs snabba och pålitliga fältmetoder för att detektera juverinfektion. Syftet med studien var att kartlägga förekomsten av juverinfektioner hos tackor med kliniskt friska juver i svenska kött- och pälsfårbesättningar.

Subclinical mastitis (SCM) is a well-known problem in the dairy sector, where it causes severe economic losses mainly due to reduced milk production. This is a problem not only in the western world but also in developing countries. Surveys from different developing countries have shown a SCM prevalence of 52.4 ? 88.6 % at cow level and 26.7 ? 63.2 % at quarter-level. To combat mastitis is important to optimize the milk production of the cow.

This paper aims to examine how and to what extent, a transition of Sweden according to the principles of Omställning Sverige (Transition towns Sweden), have the potential to contribute to a society with increased happiness.The paper is based on a qualitative textual analysis of the key texts in the Swedish Transition towns movement, Omställning Sverige. In the first part of the study the most important transition principles of Omställning Sverige were identified. Four key principles emerged: An altered view of economics, a spiritual change, a stronger local community and increased awareness. These transition principles were then analyzed through the lens of the scientific fields position on happiness, followed by a summarizing conclusion.The altered view of economics which Omställning Sverige advocates, where sustainability and quality of life are priorities over economic growth, is even necessary to secure our basic physiological needs. Such an economy has also improved conditions for economic stability, high employment and higher efficiency in the sense of happiness promoted in relationship to how many natural resources are used.

Förväntningar från andra personerpåverkar controllerns roll, eftersom förväntningar inte är de samma är controllerrollen splittrad.Controllertiteln har funnits Sverige sedan början av 1970-talet, detta till följd av att företag underdenna tidsepok blev allt mer decentraliserade. A district heating plant has the advantage that it can take advantage of the waste heat from industries and use of cheap fuels to produce heat. But for the long term is competitive requires that energy is also saved in district heating plants. One way to save energy in a district heating system is to increasing cooling to the return temperature. This leads to less power needed to drive the distribution pumps,  and that more energy could be extracted from the same amount of fuel by an improved flue gas condensation.In Karlskoga the return temperature into the district heating plant is high. They would therefore reduce the return temperature in order to extract more energy from the flue gases.

Syfte och frågeställningar: Syftet med denna studie har varit att studera de fysiologiska kraven för BMX cykling, samt att jämföra kapaciteten på svenska topp cyklister för att se vilka skillnader som råder gentemot kraven. Under arbetets gång ska följande frågor besvaras: Vilka krav ställs på cyklistens fysiologiska egenskaper? Hur står sig svenska topp cyklister i jämförelse med referensdata från toppnationer?Metod: Kravanalysen arbetades fram via observation av idrotten samt av egen erfarenhet som aktiv för att fastställa vilka fysiologiska egenskaper som kan tänkas utsättas för mest belastning, dessutom granskades vetenskapliga artiklar som berör BMX samt andra cykeldiscipliner som förhåller sig inom liknande arbetstider.  För kapacitetsstudien testades 3 herrar (ålder 22 ± 4,36 år, vikt 70,4 ± 2,09 kg, längd 175 ± 5 cm) samt en dam (ålder 21, vikt 58,8, längd 169 cm), samtliga vana med daglig träning samt tävlandes på elitnivå. Studien delades upp i två dagar, fälttester respektive laboratorietester.
