The aim of this study was to examine, in the work against bullying how collaboration between the school Counselor and other professions is described by the different professions within the student health team as well as how they describe that the different competencies involved in such teams shapes problem definitions and solutions. The student health (swedish- elevhälsoteamet) team of which the study is based on consists of different professions such as school Counselors, school nurses, special education teachers, school psychologists and school principles. We have interviewed representatives of all the above mentioned professions with the exception of school psychologists using a qualitative research design. In this study we have chosen to focus on two student health teams from two different primary schools located in a middle-sized municipality in southern Sweden. We have analysed the results using new institutional theory and the terms domain and power. The main conclusion of the study is that school Counselors themselves feel they have a specific knowledge regarding bullying but have difficulties in capitalizing on it while collaborating with the other professions in the student health team.

This study uses qualitative research consisting of six semi-structural interviews of treatment workers who, in various capacities, have worked with men who use violence against their female partners. The purpose has been to show what the treatment Counselor understand to be the reasons behind the men?s violence, what kind of backgrounds and problems they believe these abusers have and, lastly, how they view the male abusers as clients. The empirical data was analyzed through four perspectives and explanatory models derived from the past thirty years of Scandinavian research on the reasons behind men?s violence against women.

When foreign children first arrive to Sweden, the first contact they get with the local society is through primary school. Therefore, the primary school have the fundamental role to attend the foreign and their families.The teacher plan for primary schools (Lpfö98) make it very clear that children with foreign background are given the full support in their development in a multicultural society. The aim of this report is to investigate how two pre-school teachers and one school Counselors? work with these newly arrived children in preschool to support their integration in the preschool.As the role of the primary school is so vital for children with foreign background in this new society, I would therefore like to take the opportunity to explore and show how meaningful the role is of teachers to integrate these children into the Swedish primary schools.In this report, the theory part is treated based on integration and on the schools suspension to multicultural backgrounds. For this report, I even stress the support of the primary school and how they meet the foreign children and their families.

Sweden has an obligation to report child abuse suspicions to Social Services. According to Socialtjänstlagen (swedish constitution) 1 § Chapter 14, all employees in agencies affecting children, such as schools, have a responsibility to report their suspicions. Research shows that many abuses are not reported. The consequence of this is that Social Services does not hear about all cases of abused and harmed children. One profession where reporting is mandated is school Counselors.

This paper was aimed to investigate how a sexual education website, UMO.se, with an explicit norm-critical approach to their work achieved its goal to be norm-critical and inclusive in terms of gender, gender identity and sexual orientation. The investigation was focused on a section of the website, "Ask UMO" where the website visitors could submit questions, which were answered by a midwife, a nurse, a Counselor, a psychologist, a nutritionist or a doctor. The questions focused on examining how well the "Ask UMO" lived up to UMOs target norm criticism and if there was any differences between the different professions in how norm-critical and inclusive they were. This was examined by a discourse analysis inspired by Foucault and based on Judith Butler's theory of the heterosexual matrix. The study found that "Ask UMO" in 350 of the sections 425 questions reached UMOs goal to be the norm-critical and inclusive.

Syftet med denna studie är att nå ökad kunskap om hur arbetsuppgifter kan se ut för en ny examinerad vägledare på olika arbetsplatser. I undersökningen ges också en blick över vägledarnas upplevelser när det gäller relationen mellan deras kompetens och arbetsuppgifter. Genom kvalitativ metod där fem intervjuer med studie- och yrkesvägledare i Stockholms län har analyserats. Vi har kommit fram till att dessa studie- och yrkesvägledare har haft ett arbete efter avslutad examen inom skolväsendet. Alla vägledarna ser ett samband mellan den kompetens de har fått från utbildningen och deras arbetsuppgifter och yrkesroller.

For many years, sugar beets have been the most profitable crop for farmers with suitable growing prerequisites. During year 2007 when the grain prices increased and the EU reform decreased the payment for sugarbeets, it was no longer obvious to grow sugar beets in the crop sequence. With the latest agricultural reform in mind, farming has turned to a more open market and that is important for the independent farmer to adjust to the prevailing market presumptions. In the theory, scientists distinguish between unique and repetitive decisions. Unique decisions can be described as decisions made ones or not often. The opposite, repetitive decisions are decisons that have been made several times before.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka vilka former av psykisk ohälsa som skolkuratorer mötte samt hur de arbetade med detta. Vi har därför utfört en kvalitativ studie och intervjuat sex skolkuratorer som arbetar med högstadieelever. Resultatet visade att psykisk ohälsa var ett mångtydigt begrepp, men att de mest centrala formerna av psykisk ohälsa i skolan var stress, prestationsångest och självskadebeteende. Skolkuratorernas arbetsuppgifter upplevdes som diffusa, men de tre mest framträdande arbetsuppgifterna i samband med psykisk ohälsa var kartläggning, enskilda samtal samt att remittera elever vidare till andra aktörer. Skolkuratorerna fokuserade främst på akuta insatser vilket resulterade i att det förebyggande arbetet att motverka psykisk ohälsa blev eftersatt.

Vår sociologiska studie är baserad på intervjuer och en enkätundersökning. Vårt syfte är att öka allmänhetens förståelse för arbetsförmedlares yrkessituation. Vi intervjuade både arbetsförmedlare och arbetssökande med utgångspunkt att undersöka hur relationen dem emellan påverkas av lagar och regler. Vi har använt oss av kvalitativ metod då det är en förutsättning för att besvara vår problemformulering. Vi har även ett kvantitativt inslag i form av enkäter för att få bredd och generaliserbarhet. Vi har analyserat vårt resultat utifrån sociologiska teorier.

Tidigare forskning gällande skolkuratorer har visat att deras roll på skolan är oklar och att deras arbete är relativt oreglerat. Den tidigare forskningen som gjorts, särskilt i Sverige, är begränsad och det finns mycket att utforska på området. Skolkuratorns handlingsutrymme är en aspekt av området som är relativt outforskat. Syftet med studien är att undersöka skolkuratorns upplevelse och tolkning av sitt handlingsutrymme i sitt yrkesutövande. Studien har en kvalitativ inriktning.

AbstractThe aim of this study is to highlight the professional?s perspectives and work with young girls who have eating disorder anorexia nervousa. We assume a social constructivist perspective where the professional?s interpretations and perspectives on the issue anorexia considered. The study is based on a qualitative analysis of interviews with seven professionals in the areas of work, social services, school Counselor, school nurse, anorexia unit and child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP).From a thematic analysis of the interviews, three themes emerged.

Denna studie syftar till att undersöka hur skolkuratorer i svenska grundskolan upplever sin arbetssituation. För att ta reda på detta har vi använt oss av en kvalitativ metod där vi intervjuat fyra skolkuratorer som alla är verksamma i ett område i Mellansverige. Vi valde att i intervjun fokusera på upplevelsen av krav, kontroll och stöd utifrån krav-kontroll-stödmodellen som teoretisk utgångspunkt. Denna modell anses kunna förklara vilka kombinationer av krav, kontroll och stöd som bidrar till en stressig arbetssituation samt vilka kombinationer som motverkar en stressig arbetssituation. Resultaten i denna studie visar att skolkuratorer upplever höga krav i form av en hög arbetsbörda vilket är det som bidrar till stress.

In this thesis, we are concerned with the many different professional roles that a public librarian, working at a small library, has. More specifically, the purpose is to find out which different roles that librarians believe they have, and which view they have upon those. Furthermore, we are exploring the tendencies that librarians discuss in relation to these professional roles. To pursue this goal, we have used the methodology of focus group interviews, with the unconventional twist that our interviews were done using web chats. This may have the advantage that the informants may present more honest views than when using ordinary interviews due to the anonymous character of chatting.
