Detta självständiga arbete syftar till att ge ägarna till Château du Grand Val, Roland och Marie Nilsson ett utvecklingsförslag på de södra delarna av egendomen där deras mål med fastigheten är hörsammade och där planen är så tydlig att de kan följa den utan större svårigheter. Genom studiebesök, fält- och litteraturstudier har de södra delarna av egendomen fått ett nytt stigsystem där tyngdpunkten ligger på upplevelserikedom och orienterbarhet. Studiebesöken på Château du Grand Val har gett en bakgrundsinformation som sedan har använts till analyser över området. Analysmetoder som har använts är Patrik Grahns åtta parkkaraktärer och Gordon Cullens Serial Vision. Den första har använts som analys av vegetationens egenskaper och den andra för att analysera stigsystemet. Dessa analyser har sedan legat till grund för utformningen av stigsystemet och utvecklingen av den omgivande vegetationen. Arbetets fokus har legat på att skapa sammanbindande stråk mellan befi ntliga stigar och därefter anpassa vegetationen för att förstärka upplevelsen av stigen med hänsyn tagen till att gynna viltet på egendomen och den småskaliga skogsproduktionen. Resultatet redovisas i både text och illustrationer. Det innehåller en utförlig plan för skapande av ett sammanbindande stigsystem.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the economic effects of different fertilization programs both on stand- and forest-level. The study is applied on an objective sample of inventory data for a forest area in Kalix in northern Sweden. The forest area belongs to the forest company Sveaskog. The study includes different economic models and will be used as a support when the company decides how to invest and how much to invest in fertilization. The study investigates the economy of five different fertilization policies. For each program the rate of interest invested in fertilization and the cost for the extra produced volume has been calculated.

Power Systems-HVDC på ABB i Ludvika jobbar med kraftstationer som används för att transportera el långa sträckor med mindre förluster. I dessa kraftstationer monteras ofta högspänningsapparater på speciella stålstativ av olika anledningar. I grund och botten har samma stålstativ används i flera decennier och det är mycket som behöver ses över med hanteringen av dessa stålstativ i dagsläget.Stativen finns inte som standard i företagets CAD-system och de är inte anpassningsbara till olika apparattyper. Av denna anledning kopieras ofta stålstativ och ritningar från äldre projekt vilket ger upphov till otaliga kopior och artikelnummer för i stort sett samma konstruktion. De ursprungliga stålstativen var designade med en stålkvalitet som är sämre än den som finns tillgänglig idag.

Norra Militärdistriktet, MD N, har använt sig av geografiska informationssystem, GIS, under en längre tid. Dessa geografiska data lagras idag i en filstruktur som byggts ut allt eftersom data har blivit tillgänglig i digital form. Den geografiska informationen på MD N är i behov av en översyn för att få det mer strukturerat och användarvänligt. Målet med examensarbetet är en datamodell som ska kunna följas vid uppbyggnaden av MD N:s databas för metadata. Målet är även en modell som ska kunna följas vid omstrukturering av MD N:s geografiska grunddata.

There is a new beverage container on the market, a bottle made out of pure aluminum as a replacement for the traditional container made out of glass. This new container has the potential to reduce both cost and pollution during transportation, the lighter and stronger construction has every advantage compared to the old one in glass. The new container has every possibility to make it on the market. Some of the biggest brands within the soft drink market already use these bottles in countries without any recycling demands like: Coca-Cola, Heineken and Pepsi. The only thing stopping these brands from the Swedish market is the lack of a functional return system, there is only one company that uses the bottle in Sweden today and they take care of their own used bottles.

This report examines the prerequisites for LEDs to replace other technologies indifferent applications. How does the different technologies for light generationwork and what are the advantages and disadvantages? The various technologieslimitations and characteristics provides the opportunities for the LEDs.This report describes a test-construction built to examine what practical arrangementscan be built with modern light emitting diodes, in order to showsome of the possibilities. The construction consists of three different applications,a high power lamp based on cold white LEDs, one based on warm whiteLEDs for the evaluation of the light characteristics and a RGB-LED based lampable to mix any colors quickly and seamlessly. The test construction also containsthe essential peripherals including control-electronics, optics and a custombuilt watercooling solution.The potential for LEDs is huge but it is complicated to build LED based applicationsdue to the limitations which mainly includes the electronics and theneccesary cooling.

An increasing number of heat pump producers have developed heat pumps that can be connected to solar panels. In this thesis we have examined the possibilities of connecting solar panels to existing ground source- and geothermal heat pumps that has not been adapted to solar panels. During the work process, a prototype plant has been built to compare our theory with the practical results and with our designed sizing tool. The work has rendered in knowledge that will be used to build a sun module that can be easily connect to the existing heat pump system. The existing heat pump, our test plant, has been supplemented by an advanced storage tank used to allow different operating modes.

Företag: Midelfart Sonesson ABSyfte: Studien skulle ge en bild av vilka kriterier som är betydelsefulla för företag vid rationalisering av lagerställen. Den skulle dessutom ge en bild av vilka tänkbara ekonomiska konsekvenser som kan följa efter en rationalisering. Genom en fallstudie av ett typföretag och genom kompletterande intervjuer med kunniga inom logistik och företagsekonomi skulle författarna undersöka vilka kriterier som företagen lägger mest vikt på när de ska starta ett så stort projekt som lagerställesrationalisering, samt förstå vad kostnadsbesparingen kan bli.Metod: En studie av företaget Midelfart Sonesson AB har utförts. Primär- och sekundärdata har samlats in genom personliga intervjuer, litteratur, rapporter, och elektroniska källor.Teori: Teorin består av nio olika avsnitt som kan tillämpas på ämnet i uppsatsen. This thesis describes possibilities for Metso Paper to lower their costs of spray pipes for their pulp wash press TRPE, with maintained good functionality and quality.Information that can be used by competitors has been censored in this version of the essay.To find solutions, alternative suppliers have been contacted and asked to quote. There has also been a new spray pipe designed. The manufacturing costs of the new design have been calculated.The thesis also contains a concept generation of an alternative product to the spray pipes in installations where a high pressure washer is used.To be able to ask other manufacturers of spray pipes to quote, a demand specification based on the currently used spray pipe was made. This was then sent to two alternative suppliers.An investigation of earlier used spray pipes, and the currently used, shows that the nozzles are a big part of the total costs of the spray pipes. To attempt to reduce the nozzles high cost an concept generation was made to find the best solution for a new design.There was a request that it should be possible to change the internal brushes in the spray pipe without cutting and welding.

Varje år ökar antalet äldre personer och i samband med den ökningen blir även antalet äldre personer med körkort allt fler. Med åldern är det vanligt att reaktionsförmåga, syn och hörsel försämras vilka alla är viktiga egenskaper för trafiksäkerheten. Läkare i Sverige är skyldiga att rapportera till Transportstyrelsen om en individ inte anses vara lämplig att köra bil. Att läkare över huvud taget tar upp körkortsfrågan med sina patienter sker endast i 60 procent av fallen och därmed fortsätter många olämpliga körkortsinnehavare att köra bil. Majoriteten av länder inom Europeiska Unionen (EU) har någon form av övre åldersbegränsning i körkorten där körkortsinnehavarna måste genomgå en kontroll för att få körkortet förnyat.

This degree project has been performed on commission by Örsjöbelysning AB. The task has been to study alighting armature and compare it to the demands of The Swan Ecolabel. The task was also to recommend adjustments to improve the environmental adaption of the product to meet the demands of The Swan Ecolabel. Furthermore the task has been to gather documentation on the elements of the lighting armature. Such documentation is required to obtain The Swan Ecolabel.

Sköldkörteln (tyroidea) är ett endokrint organ som påverkar ämnesomsättningen. Tyreoidea stimulerande hormon (TSH) frisätts från hypofysen och stimulerar syntes och frisättning av tyreoideahormonerna trijodtyronin (T3) och tyroxin (T4). Tyreoidea hormonerna har i sin tur en negativ påverkan på frisättningen av TSH. TSH, T3 fritt och T4 fritt analyseras på serum med immunokemiska metoder. Becton Dickinson (BD) har tagit fram ett snabbkoagulerande provrör för analys av serum.

In recent years, existing solutions for cooling personal computer CPUs have been supplemented by a new product category, factory sealed water cooling loops. These systems, consisting of a water block with an integrated pump, a fan and a radiator, perform well compared to the air cooling solutions but are less effective than larger, custom-built water cooling systems.This project aims to explore the most important aspects of a factory sealed system and to identify possible cost-effective enhancements of the performance.The most significant differences between the different groups of water cooling loops are the block design and the pumping power. The performance of both categories is also largely dependent on the fan power, but increasing fan power has a large negative impact on the noise level.Both radiator size and fan model choice appear, in tests, to be relatively unimportant, presuming that the noise level is kept constant. The position and direction of the fan, however, has significant impact on both the temperature and the sound level.Water blocks can be designed in several different ways, both regarding the heatsink design and the flow direction. In simulation, flow with the inlet centered above the heatsink result in considerably lower pressure drop and slightly higher temperatures than flow through the block, for heatsinks with fin arrays.Creating a competitive product in this product segment certainly seems possible, as there are performance-increasing changes to be made that seemingly has little impact on the production cost.

SyfteSyftet med arbetet är att utvärdera ett projekt kring implementeringen av Matematik-UtvecklingsSchema som genomförs på två skolor i en västsvensk kommun under läsåret 10/11. Syftet med utvärderingen är att undersöka vilka förutsättningar som inverkar på projektet, projektets inverkan på några av pedagogerna i processen samt projektets eventuella inverkan på elevernas resultat. Syftet med utvärderingen är också att ge förslag till förbättringar i en vidare implementering av MatematikUtvecklingsSchema.TeoriStudien är en utvärderingsforskning som utgår ifrån en programteoretisk ansats. Programteorins funktion visar sig genom att utvärderingen avser att dels beskriva resultatet av projektet, men också att förklara hur resultatet har uppstått. Underlaget för utvärderingen utgörs dels av de MUS-diagram som samlas in under projektets gång och dels av intervjuer vilka tolkas utifrån en reflexiv ansats med en hermeneutisk grund.Själva instrumentet MatematikUtvecklingsSchema vilar på en sociokulturell grund i den mening att lärande äger rum i ett socialt sammanhang.MetodStudien tar sin metodiska utgångspunkt i ett programteoretiskt analysschema.
