Arkiv, bibliotek, museer: en jämförelse av katalogiseringselement vid tre minnesinstitutioner.

This masters thesis concerns three different types of cataloguing within three different memory institutions museums, archives and libraries. The focus lies on the cataloguing elements which are compared in order to illuminate similarities and differences. The Regional Archive and The National Museum of World Cultures - both in Gothenburg - were chosen and compared to KRS, the Swedish counterpart to the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, AACR2, 2: nd ed. The purpose of this comparison is partly to display the elements in order to make students disciplines, but also the staff within archives, libraries and museums to become conscious of each others cataloguing methods in regard to future cooperations within the memory institutions and to see if it is possible to create common cataloguing rules for archives, libraries and museums. Fordrande ord : en kritisk diskursanalys av konsertinstitutioners informativa texter inför konserter

The aim of this master?s thesis is to explore concert institutions? informative texts prior to upcoming concerts ? texts in promotional materials and descriptive texts in programme papers. The thesis is carried out from a critical discourse analytical perspective. The discourse analysis is focusing on finding the texts? messages and it asks the question: To whom are these texts addressed? Theoretical support is mainly taken from Foucault?s theory about the relation between power and knowledge.

Extern kommunikation av Corporate Entrepreneurship

Entreprenörskap och innovationskraft har genom begreppet Corporate Entrepreneurship erkänts som en framgångsfaktor för företag. Med utgångspunkt i att Corporate Entrepreneurship är av ökande betydelse utreds här i vilken mån detta återspeglas i företags externa kommunikation. Genom innehållsanalys av VD-brev från 21 svenska teknikföretag över en tioårsperiod har signaler om entreprenöriell orientering fångats. Resultaten har visat att extern kommunikation av Corporate Entrepreneurship, i motsats till vad som förväntats, minskat i omfattning över tidsperioden. Vidare har visats att företagen inom sektorn kommunicerat kring Corporate Entrepreneurship i lika omfattning men att skillnad funnits mellan de företag som satsat mest respektive ingenting på forskning och utveckling.

CSR i plast- och kemibranschen

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a topic that is becoming increasingly important in today's society. CSR is a concept whereby companies voluntarily integrate social and environmental concerns both in their business but also in interaction with their stakeholders. The society of today sets high expectations for how companies take their social responsibilities, especially in industries where the risks to individuals and the environment are high. In this study, we tried to answer the following questions; what kind of responsibility do companies in the plastics and chemicals industry claim to take and why might this be due? What differences exist between the investigated companies in the industry and what may these differences be rooted in? The purpose of this study was to obtain an understanding of the interest in working on sustainability in the plastics and chemicals industry.

Syftet med denna uppsats a?r att fa? en djupare fo?rsta?else fo?r arbetet med Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) inom e-handeln genom att analysera:Det engagemang som finns för CSR och det ansvar som tas av företag inom e-handeln.Hur kommunikation av CSR används av företagen för att positionera sig och stärka sin image.Vad konsumenter har för syn på CSR inom e-handeln och vad detta har för påverkan på företags arbete kring ämnet.I koppling till detta syfte har följande forskningsfråga formulerats:Vad präglar e-handelsföretags arbete med Corporate Social Responsibility?Vi har valt att go?ra en kvalitativ studie da? vi ville analysera vad fo?retagare, experter och konsumenter inom e-handeln har fo?r erfarenheter och a?sikter kring arbetet med CSR. Studien har pra?glats av en abduktiv ansats da?r vi har haft ett va?xelspel mellan teori och empiri. Prima?rdatan har samlats in genom fyra personliga, semi-struturerade intervjuer samt en strukturerad intervju via mail.

Swedish accountants are, amongst other laws, controlled by a couple of so called duties. One of those is the professional secrecy, which guarantees the safety of company secrets and other important information that the accountant needs to know but shouldn?t tell anybody. Since 1999 Swedish accountants also need to follow the regulations of the reporting duty. In short, this means that in some cases of suspected crime within a company, auditors are obliged to report this to the authorities.

Diakoni och Välfärd - en kvantitativ studie av ekonomiskt stöd inom Svenska kyrkan

The aim of this thesis was to study financial support within the Church of Sweden and the view of the church?s diaconal work. This was done with a quantitative method where a survey sent to a number of churches containing questions about financial support within the church and how they, the respondents, looked at the church?s role as a welfare agent. Of the almost 200 congregations only 23 congregations responded.

"Vi" och "Dem" -en studie beträffande identitetskonstruktionsprocesser hos invandrade män i samband med integration i Helsingborg

To create fair conditions between majority and minority in Sweden is a challeging project. Male immigrants usually do not get same opportunities for a success identity structure and integration into Swedish society as women and children. The aim of this thesis is therefore to critically examine and analyse the processes regarding identity structure and integration for male immigrants with a specific focus on Helsingborg. The object of this study is Mansgrupp, a project which helps men to build up a secure ground for identity structure and which further helps them to integrate into the society. To be able to reach the results I have made a literature study as well as a minor field study in Helsingborg, where I conducted interviews with men from the above mentioned project.

En meningsfull möjlighet att säga sin mening? : Petitioner och JO-anmälningar som politiskt deltagande i Tyskland och Sverige

This thesis compares political participation by the public through the Swedish Parliamentary Ombudsman (PO) and the German Petitions Committee of the Bundestag (PC). Through studies of literature and statistics I examine how citizens can participate through the institutions, how frequently they do and the likelihood of sparking a debate while participating.Using media theories as well as theories of participatory and representative democracy I study how citizens can use these institutions for purposes of control and proposition.Both institutions deal with complaints but the PC also deals with propositions for legislation, making the institution more versatile. The PO deals with more cases than the PC and has more far-reaching competences and areas of inspection, although neither institution has binding decisions. Thus the direct advantage for citizens using the institutions is the chance of reaching out to media and the public through freedom of information laws and the German online petition forum.The PC to a larger extent fits the representative model while the PO in some respects is more a legal than a political institution, being managed by lawyers instead of MPs. Neither institution meets the ideals of participatory politics although the German official petition is closer to it..

Tjänstekvalitet för pensionssparande : En studie om vilka faktorer som påverkar den upplevda tjänstekvaliteten för pensionssparande

Our purpose of this paper is to seek an understanding of which service quality factors that affects customers in their decision making progress regarding purchasing financial services such as pension products. We also seek to evaluate the different service quality factors by compare their relative strength against each other. The study aim to investigate if there are any connections between customer behavior variables such as gender, age and income in comparison to these service quality factors related to pension products.The findings aim to help a small financial institute such as our case company Plain Capital to understand how their customers experience service quality regarding pension products.In order to find empirical results we conducted a qualitative research as well a quantitative research. The qualitative research employed both a focus group interview with pension savers and an interview with our case company Plain Capital. We were able to identify the service quality factors for pension?s products with help from the focus group interview.

Det svenska områdesskyddet : Ett samspel mellan diskurs och institutioner

Sweden has had laws protecting nature for about a hundred years. In this paper the views of nature and the values that serve as a rationale for protective measures are analyzed as results of a social process characterized by the dialectic relationship between institutions and discourse. Critical discourse analysis (CDA) is used to study this relationship and the discursive practices used by institutions, which reproduce or reshape views of nature that define the relationship between society and nature. Institutional design contributes to shaping discourse in the field of nature protection, while being originally shaped by discourse. In Sweden, the national park is an institution that reproduces a view of nature as the wild and untamed opposite of society, and the natural reserves reproduce a view of nature as holder of a multi-faceted set of values intertwined with society.

Mystiken kring styrelsearbete - skillnader i styrelsearbetet i ett litet börsnoterat bolag och ett litet onoterat bolag

New laws and recommendations within corporate governance during the last years have affected the way board of directors work. The board is said to have and fulfill three roles: a control role, a service role and a strategy role. These roles could be understood by three theoretical theories: the agency theory, the resource dependence theory and the stewardship theory. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether, and if so how, the board work differs between two small firms based on these roles, given that one of the firms is a publicly listed firm and the other is a privately owned firm. Using a qualitative case study as research method we find that the board work differs between the two companies when it comes to these roles.
