Corporations meet complex challenges as they operate on a global market. Global multidimensional problems are referred to wicked problems and which cannot be solved only managed. In this case, of certified palm oil, palm oil production can be seen as a wicked problem due to deforestation of rainforest, land grabbing and social conflicts. There are also conflicts regarding the value and interest of palm oil. This thesis investigates the Swedish transformation for certified palm oil and how actors in the Swedish food market address this transformation to have certified palm oil in their production. The aim of this thesis is to explain enabling factors to address the governance gap of ethical sourcing in the food industry.

Each year 225 million pigs are transported within the European Union (EU) for slaughter, fattening and breeding. This results in poor animal welfare due to the fact that animals are exposed to several numbers of stress factors in the vehicle during loading, transit and unloading. Animal welfare can be defined as how well the animal attempts to cope with its environment and during transport there is often severe difficulty for the pigs to cope properly. There is a growing societal concern for animal welfare. This resulted in that the European Union enacted a law called the EU-regulation with certain directives of how to improve the welfare of the animals during transport.

Den andra delen av studien beskriver hur ett framtida anhörigstöd kan utformas, kopplat till de nya kraven.Studien syftar till att ge en ökad förstÄelse till att officer och anhöriga tillsammans utgör en ge-mensam social ordning och att ge underlag till fortsatt forskning. Vidare syftar studien till att bidra med konkreta förslag till anhörigstöd till myndigheter och organisationer som idag arbetar med det.Studiens empiri erhÄlls genom djupintervjuer med sex lÄngvariga partner till officerare som kom-pletteras med textempiri.Studien pÄvisar att det finns tendens till ett meningssamband mellan anhörigas upplevda vÀlbefin-nande och officerens psykosociala arbetsmiljö.

Företag förvÀntas definiera sin roll i samhÀllet och applicera bÄde etiska ochsociala normer inom sitt företagande. LÀkemedel utvecklas och produceras för att förbÀttra hÀlsotillstÄndet i vÀrlden och det finns sÄledes en naturlig koppling mellan lÀkemedelsbranschen och CSR. Denna utredning berör det globala lÀkemedelsföretaget AstraZeneca och deras arbete medCSR. Att det intrÀffar olika typer av förödande katastrofer pÄ jorden Àr ett faktum och vid dessa tillfÀllen donerar AstraZeneca lÀkemedel till behövande.

Studien undersökte hur arbetet inom den personalkooperativa verksamheten upplevdes av medlemmar och anstÀllda, samt skillnaden dem emellan. I denna studie anvÀndes personalkooperativ för att det dÀr ingÄr bÄde medlemmar, som Àr Àgare av kooperativet, och anstÀllda. Syftet uppnÄddes genom intervjuer dÀr tre frÄgestÀllningar anvÀndes: vad upplevda erfarenheten Àr av att ingÄ i ett personalkooperativ, hur företagets handlingar stÀmmer överens med de aktuella kooperativens sju principer, samt hur deltagarna förhÄller sig till Maslows behov.  Resultatet visade dels att möjligheten att sjÀlv kunna pÄverka arbetet var skÀlet till varför deltagarna valt att ingÄ i ett kooperativ. Dock angavs som negativt saknaden av en chef och den bristande ekonomin. Skillnaden mellan medlemmar och anstÀllda framgick genom att medlemmarna fokuserade mer pÄ verksamheten som helhet medan de anstÀllda lade fokus pÄ interaktionen mellan kollegor.

The study aims to investigate Swedish fitness companies positioning and strategic choices when internationalising in the Scandinavian countries and what has influenced this choice. Furthermore, the corporate risk and what obstacles they encountered will be examined.The study was conducted as a qualitative study with a deductive approach. The results are based mainly on primary data from interviews, as well as secondary data.The fitness companies? choice of strategy in internationalisation depends largely on its concept and positioning. The main obstacles in the internationalisation process are lack of communication, language difficulties and regulations.

This essay presents an alternative approach to the predominant democratic analysis of the European Monetary Union. As the Treaties stipulate the political conduct within Monetary Union and put certain restrictions on the European politicians they are to some extent constitutional in their character. Essential for constitutional theory is the concept of precommitment; according to which a decision is made in t1 purposing to obstruct certain actions in t2. In light of this the aim of this essay is to investigate whether or not delegating monetary responsibility to the ECB can be seen as an example of constitutional precommitment and if so, if this constitutional perspective can add something to the predominant democratic analysis of the EMU. According to the author the EMU is by and large a form of precommitment as the leading politicians in Europe figuratively have tied their hands from intervening in the common monetary policy.

This study aims at examine if an Europeanization is affecting the bilateral diplomatic relation between Sweden and Italy as managed by the national embassies. The questions asked to pursue the aim are; how the bilateral diplomatic work is managed between the countries, are there any signs of Europeanization within this relation or is it still contingent on intergovernmental principles? In this study an analytical model is created and used to analyze how the bilateral diplomacy between Italy and Sweden is managed through the embassies. The discussion on top ?down Europeanization by Tanja Börzel is central to the development of the analytical model.

The aim of this study is to describe and analyse an elderly care team?s prerequisite to anchor a salutogenic perspective and approach in an elderly care team in Kalmar municipality. The study identifies factors that could impede or promote the anchoring and examine how the organisation aims to work in a single direction even if the multidisciplinary team processes a diversity of knowledge, education and abilities. The study is based on qualitative semi-structured interviews from representatives of all professions in the multidisciplinary team; social workers, paramedical professions, nurses and care-givers. The theoretical frame consisted of a translating perspective, leadership and ideas of interaction and power.

The aim of this study is to examine the conditions for participation in women's networks for the members of the Geek Girl Meetup network, to expose the members' perceptions of the IT industry and to highlight the network's impact on women's situation in the IT industry. The empirical material consists of interviews and a survey. The interviews were carried out with the network leaders for a better understanding of the network structure and why it exists. The survey completed by the members illuminates how the members perceive the networks function in the IT industry and what kind of an impact the network has on the members and if it has any at all. The result of the study shows that participation in networks like Geek Girl Meetup can be a model for promoting gender equality and improving conditions for women in the IT industry.

In order to answer these questions, two different methods were used. One was qualitative analysis of the available text and the other one case-study (qualitative including interviews)The conclusion is that the implementation has not been successful. The process of legislation has followed its traditional way, which in its turn did not leave so much space to the thorough implementation of the Directive.
