Social media is a relatively new phenomenon that has had a huge impact in the way we communicate in recent years. Today it is used daily by almost everyone and has become a billion dollar industry where corporate existence is increasing by every day. But there is not entirely safe to work with social media since customers and visitors can make comments and investigate what others are writing about the brand and form their own opinion. The purpose of this study is to explain the potential advantages and disadvantages for organizations in vulnerable industries with a focus on insurance companies who works with Facebook. The paper takes its starting point in the convergence culture that explains a cultural shift where consumers are encouraged to search for new information and combine content from different media.

The problems and the opinions regarding accounting of Goodwill have always been an issue. In the search for a more standardised accounting standard IASB made a series of changes with the implementation of IFRS/IAS, which means that all companies who are listed on any stock exchange in Europe have to follow these new standards. During the process IASB wanted some feedback from the users to get a better understanding of how different participants in the economic market would respond to a number of questions regarding different changes in the accounting. In total IASB got 126 responses for the 'Comment Letters' (CL) they sent out.This paper aims to review these CL and examine how different participants will stand on different questions, mainly regarding the elimination of the pooling method and if goodwill is to be amortised but also any opinions regarding the implementation of the impairment tests. The present study comprises 126 CL, which represent participants from all the corners of the Earth.

Vertical jumping ability is an essential skill in many sports. The aim of this study wasto investigate the acute effects of assisted jumps on subsequent countermovementjump (CMJ) performance by female athletes. Nine healthy, trained female subjectsvolunteered to participate in the study. In a randomized order, they performed oneregular warm up protocol before testing their CMJ baseline value, and one warm upprotocol with an addition of five assisted jumps at 30% body weight reduction beforeanother CMJ test. Elastic cords attached to an overhead pulley system and to aharness around the subjects' upper body were used to reduce the body weight.Significant improvements were noted in jump height, 2.3 cm (7%), positive forceimpulse, 4.7 Ns (2%), vertical take off velocity, 0.1 m/s (3%), countermovement time,0.1 s (12%) and breaking time, 0.1 s (14%), p.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how social media can affect and influence the B2B-relationship. Social media is now a widespread and accepted tool for communication in many B2C-companies; therefore we find it interesting to examine how social media can find its place in the communication mix of B2B-companies. We are also aiming to distinguish standards in how social media is practiced and discussed in the context of the B2B-market. We have applied a qualitative method for this study and we have interviewed seven respondents, which are experts in social media or working with market communication at B2B-companies in Sweden. During our study we have identified several comparable attributes within the B2B market and their opinions about how social media should be approach and adopt in the communication mix of the company..

The aim of this essay was to study if social workers have a gender awareness in the social work they perform and if it appears in the assessment of needs and intervention. A qualitative vignette study with four social workers who handle adult- and addictive clients have been performed. Gender theory is used to interpret the empirical results. The results of the study show that social workers doesn´t see any differences in the clients situation, or make any different assessment of needs depending on if the client is a man or a woman. Social workers also propose the same interventions to men and women.

An attempt were made to record the 1st movement of Beethoven?s Op. 57, with the objective of performing it as close to Beethoven?s will as possible, in the tradition of the ?historically informed performance? movement.The result of evaluating source material rendered a list of the most relevant material for this study, and hopefully that might prove useful for other studies with similar objective concering HIP and composer-intention based ?autenticity?.However, Beethoven?s will was only vaguely captured in the limited source material accounted for in this study, rendering it moderate-to-small reliability. It?s probably possible to achieve a higher degree of goal achievement, given more time and through the utilization of music psychology to further extrapolate the detailed parameters of Beethoven?s presumed extramusical will.The recording made was not to my satisfaction and has strengthened my view that the interpreter should take council from the collected knowledge of scholarly sources but must ultimately remain free in whether and how to utilize that knowledge.Lastly, I?ve measured the bpm in the resulting recording with a error margin of ±0,02 s.

The term CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is frequently discussed today. Many large companies work actively with CSR related questions. However, few empirical studies exist on what this work entails and why it is undertaken. Instead, most of the academic research focuses on what the term itself should mean. The development of applications for mobile devices has exploded in recent times. This has also led to the introduction of several new mobile operating systems. To streamline application development for multiple platforms, techniques have been developed to be able to reuse the same application regardless of the operating system. If the same application can be used on multiple platforms it will save both a lot of time and money. Today there are three types of techniques to develop an application; web, hybrid and native application, where the latter is specific to the operating system it has been developed to.

Problem: In society of today corporate competence is an important factor for survivor and development. IT is developing rapidly and can not be ignored by companies. Then need for people with IT-competence is conquent increasing. A survey of corporate IT-competence is therefore of interest for companies as well as for local authorities. To determine the IT competence within an organisation, this competence has to be measurable.

Vårt syfte med uppsatsen är att få en ökad förståelse för den svenska kosumentens uppfattning om CSR samt hur detta påverkar deras agerande i en reel köpsituation.Vi har utgått från teorier såsom FCB-grid, TORA-modellen samt en modell över konsumenters attityd till att handla etiskt. Vi har även belyst informationsbehovet och dessutom tagit del av fyra stycken undersökningar som tidigare gjorts kring ämnet.Empirin grundar sig på nio stycken kvalitativa djupintervjuer, gjorda på konsumenter.Vi fann att den svenska konsumenten tycker det är viktigt att ett företag tar sitt etiska samt sociala ansvar. Titel: En regulativ reforms vandring mellan olika kontexter:revisionskommittéer på ?resande fot?.Bakgrund: Allt fler länder väljer att implementera olika regulativa reformer inom corporate governance från andra länder, oftast från de anglosaxiska. En regulativ reform kan vara en riktlinje, en bestämmelse eller förordning. Då det har påvisats tydliga skillnader mellan olika länders corporate governance system, kan det ifrågasättas om det verkligen fungerar attöverföra regulativa reformer bara för att de har visat sig fungera bra i ettannat land.Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva och förklara vad som händer meden regulativ reform då den införs i en ny kultur och affärskontext. Som exempel på en regulativ reform har vi i vårt fall studerat införandet av revisionskommitteer i svensk kontext.Metod: För att komma fram till vad som kan hända med en implementeradregulativ reform i en ny kultur och affärskontext, har vi valt att titta närmare på implementeringen av revisionskommittéer i Sverige.Slutsats: Vi har kommit fram till att en regulativ reform som kommer från en annan kultur och affärskontext kommer att omtolkas då den överförs till en ny kontext.

The purpose of this study was to examine how the needs of social assistance for people with substance abuse are assessed in accordance to The Swedish Social Services Act 4th chapter 1§. The purpose was also to examine how substance abuse is assessed as a social problem by social workers, how the municipal guidelines concerning social assistance for substance abuser were constructed in relation to the Social Service Act and finally how social workers made their assessments of the need of social assistance to people with substance abuse in relation to the legislation. The sample was made among the municipalities in the county of Stockholm. Municipal guidelines were studied in 18 municipalities by content analysis. A sample of 11 social workers was chosen from 5 municipalities.

Nowadays the majority of the thinnings made in Swedish forests are done by machines, harvesters and forwarders. The most common model in thinning with a harvester is strip-road operated thinning and stand-operated thinning with one intermediate passage between the strip-roads. This study is a time study with some quality follow ups on a strip-road operated thinning model, a stand-operated thinning model with one intermediate passage between the strip-roads and a stand-operated thinning model with two intermediate passages between the strip-roads. The machines in the study were a small harvester (Forestline MPM C90) and a medium sized forwarder (Timberjack 1110). The study was made in Litsnäset outside the city of Östersund in Sweden and was made during the autumn 2007. In a lodgepole pine stand six study units (0,6 ha) were thinned with the three different models, two study units per model.
