Coping vid bröstcancer - en fråga om livskvalitet
Bröstcancer är den vanligaste cancerformen bland kvinnor över hela världen. Sjukdomen leder till en förändrad livssituation där stress och ångest blir en del av vardagen. Coping bidrar till en ökad psykisk, fysisk och social förmåga att hantera och leva med en sjukdom. Vilken copingstrategi som används är individuellt och utvecklas med tiden beroende på hur sjukdomsbilden ser ut samt vilka erfarenheter individer har sedan tidigare. Syftet med studien var att belysa hur kvinnor med bröstcancer hanterar sin livssituation genom coping för att uppnå bättre livskvalitet.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between job satisfaction and leadership style as well as participants' perceived leadership style and job satisfaction. Sixty-two participants answered a questionnaire containing 56 questions regarding perceived leadership style and job satisfaction. The leadership styles examined in the study was transformative, transactional and laissez-faire leadership. The results showed a relationship between transformational and transactional leadership and job satisfaction but not with laissez-faire leadership. The results also showed that employees experienced a laissez-faire leadership.

Through our study we have found that there are moresimilarities than differences in leadership styles. The dominant leadership style of managers in both private and public sector is the democratic leadership style, often in combination with other styles; most notably the authoritarian leadership style. Populism som kommunikationsstrategi i Svensk politik
In Jan Jagers and Stefaan Walgrave theory about populism as a political communication-style they claim that one can find this in the rhetoric of political parties. In their study of Belgian politics they found that the extreme-right party Vlaams Block has embraced this populism to a larger extent than other parties. Based on this theory this thesis aims at finding populism as a communication-style in three different Swedish political parties with the purpose to see if the extreme-right party ?The Sweden Democrats? will show populism to a larger extent than other parties, as was the case in the Belgian study.Based on Jagers and Walgraves operational definition of populism as a political communication-style this thesis applies it to the rhetoric of three different parties being ?The Social Democratic Party?, ?The Moderate Party? and ?The Sweden Democrats?. This is done in order to be able to clarify on the one hand if their theory is applicable to the Swedish case and on the other hand to what extent populism as a communication-style exists in Swedish political rhetoric.The method for this thesis has been a qualitative text analysis since and leads to the result that Jagers and Walgraves theory of populism as a communication-style is applicable to the Swedish case and that ?The Sweden Democrats? to a larger extent uses this political communication style, than the two other parties..
Ledarskap och ledarstilar i klassrummet : en intervjustudie utifrån ett lärarperspektiv
The purpose with this examine was to study the teachers perception of leadership in the classroom and also how they experience the conditions of this. The method used was qualitative, and builds on a total of six interviews. Stensmos five leadership tasks in the classroom that constitute leadership context have provided the theoretical basis of this study. The leadership tasks have therefore been used as theoretical tools in this study to analyze the teachers? reasoning about their own leadership style.
Tail posture and motion as a possible indicator of emotional state in pigs
In the current study, the aim was to investigate whether tail posture and motion can be an indicator of the emotional state of pigs and if the tail posture of the pig is affected by social breeding value (SBV), Coping style and/or housing. Emotional state can be defined in two dimensions: valence and arousal. Two batches of 96 finishing pigs were studied in a one generation selection experiment with a 2x2 set up and were housed in a barren or straw bedded pen. In each pen, 6 pigs (3 male, 3 female) were housed. A back-test was done to determine the Coping style of the pigs with two categories; high resister and low resister pigs.

Finns det ett samband mellan graden av upplevd arbetsrelaterad stress och copingstrategi hos grundskolepedagoger?
The purpose of this study was to examine whether there was any connection between coping strategies; emotional and cognitive strategy and perceived level of stress among primary school teachers in primary and middle school. It was also investigated whether there was a difference between full-time and part-time employees and perceived level of stress. As a theoretical background Lazarus' transaction theory of stress was used as an explanation of mental stress, Lazarus coping strategies for stress and Karasek?s and Theorell?s model of psychosocial work environment was used to explain unhealthy at work. To measure coping we used Coping inventory resources and to measure the stress we used Percieved stress scale.
Hur en människa finner styrka att leva vidare i ett liv som inte blev som det var tänkt: en litteraturstudie om att leva med cancer
Syftet med detta examensarbete är att belysa vad som driver en människa att gå vidare i livet efter att ha fått ett besked om att han/hon har cancer och även olika copingstrategier som används för att hantera cancer. Den teoretiska bakgrunden innefattar bland annat Lazarus och Folkmans (1984) teori om coping, Moos (1986) olika copingstrategier och Greer och Watsons (1979) olika copingstilar. Arbetet utgörs av en litteraturöversikt över olika artiklar och böcker som behandlar coping och cancer. Resultaten visade att de vanligaste copingstrategierna var att förneka det hotfulla, hopp, acceptans, söka information om sjukdomen, meningsbaserad coping och att försöka att leva ett så normalt liv som möjligt..
Kuratorers personliga upplevelser av stress och coping på ett akutsjukhus i Stockhol
AbstractTitle: Welfare officers personal experiences of stress and coping in an emergency hospital in StockholmThe purpose with this study was to describe how welfare officers in an emergency hospital experienced stress in their workplace and what coping strategies they used. Through qualitative interviews the welfare officers thoughts and experiences were examined. The result showed that welfare officers experienced some stress at the workplace; this was related to lacks in the organization, heavy workload and short of time. The most commonly used coping strategies were social support, physical training, short breaks during the day to handle the stress at work. The conclusions of this study was that factors that reduces stress for welfare officers who work at emergency hospitals was a functioning organization and management, the ability to control and at some levels effect their own work, to have guidance and other opportunities to ventilate with co-workers.

"I detta sibiriska Babel" : ? Coping och religiös föreställningsvärld hos svenska soldater i kriget mot Ryssland 1707-1721
The aim of this essay is to study diaries and letters from Swedish soldiers during the Great Nordic War, more specifically those written during the campaign 1707-1721 against Russia, in search of religious coping and religious parables. The theoretic framework is evolved around Kenneth Pargament?s theory about religious coping, and Ana-Maria Rizzuto?s theory about object relations. The method used can be described as hermeneutic.The questions at hand were:- How did Swedish soldiers during the war against Russia relate to God, and express image of God and religious concepts?- Did the soldiers express themselves in terms of spiritual coping and in that case to what extent?The conclusions were that the soldiers used religious coping as a method of survival.

Att vara förälder till ett barn med cancer innebär sårbarhet, det är en traumatisk situation och en påfrestande tid. De förlorar oftast kontrollen över sin livssituation. För att kunna anpassa sig och hantera situationen använder de sig av olika copingstrategier. Syfte: Syftet med den här studien var att undersöka förhållandet mellan coping och anpassning hos föräldrar till cancerdrabbade barn och beskriva copingstrategier som var relaterade till bättre och sämre anpassning. Barn till förälder med svår cancer : Upplevelser och coping-mekanismer
Många människor i alla åldrar insjuknar varje år i cancer. I Sverige insjuknar mer än 7000 personer i åldrarna 20-54 år. I denna åldersgrupp är det många som har barn. Dessa barn kan ha blandade upplevelser och reaktioner på sin förälders sjukdom, vilket kan vara av vikt för sjuksköterskan att känna till, för att kunna ge dessa barn ett bra stöd. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva barns upplevelser och coping-mekanismer av att leva med en förälder som har cancer.
Sjuksköterskors hantering av arbetsrelaterad stress
Bakgrund: På många arbetsplatser världen över erfar sjuksköterskor stress ochupplever sin yrkesroll som psykiskt påfrestande samt att den genererar litenegenkontroll. Av den orsaken behöver sjuksköterskor vara uppdaterade samt hakunskap om olika coping-strategier som kan användas för att hantera denarbetsrelaterade stressen då hen riskerar att drabbas av såväl fysisk- som psykisk ohälsa.Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva vilka coping-strategiersjuksköterskor använder för att hantera arbetsrelaterad stress. Metod: Litteraturstudienbaserades på totalt 16 vetenskapliga artiklar varav fyra var av kvalitativ art och 12 avkvantitativ art. Artiklarna granskades och analyserades utifrån en summativinnehållsanalys. Resultat: Resultatet sammanställdes till fyra huvudkategorier;Problemfokuserad-, Emotionsfokuserad-, Omdefinierande-, samt Undvikande coping.Huvudkategorierna innehåller subkategorier med tillhörande coping-strategiersjuksköterskor använt sig av vid hantering av arbetsrelaterad stress.
