Att äga kunskap om hantering av hot och våld är alltid en värdefull egenskap, speciellt för personal på HVB-hem för utagerande ungdomar. Studien undersöker hur hot och våld definieras, gestaltas, uppstår och hanteras på HVB-hemmen samt hur personal uppfattar hanteringen. Resultatet av sju intervjuer med personal på HVB-hemmen redovisas. Hot och våld är något som är oacceptabelt men vanligt förekommande. Studien visat att hot är vanligare, mer svårdefinierat och oftare förekommande än våld.

Background: A group severely affected by health issues, the experiences of homeless alcohol and drug abusers in the coverage of their medical care needs is not satisfactory. Aim: The aim of the study is to explore which factors experienced by homeless alcohol and drug abusers in Uppsala in regards to their living situation affected their health, their perception of access to healthcare, the character of treatment received and Coping strategies used outside of the healthcare system. Method: Nine people who had experienced both homelessness and substance abuse problem were recruited for the study during their visit to Stadsmissionens facilities for the homeless. Data was collected through qualitative, semi-structured interviews including two women and seven men. Data was analyzed using qualitative content analysis according to Giorgi modified by Malterud.Results: Among homeless substance abusers interviewed experiences of unwelcoming and prejudiced healthcare were described.

Background and problemThe Swedish mobile market is highly competitive despite the oligopoly that currently exists. A short product life cycle together with fads and new innovations puts pressure on the operators to respond to the ever changing environment and to develop and adapt their strategies after it.As a previous study regarding a specific operator?s strategy was cancelled due to the extensive confidentiality surrounding it, an interest was sparked to perform an industry analysis as this is clearly something the actors spend a great deal of time on developing. The launch of the 4G network will offer new opportunities for the operators regarding products services. It may also impact the competition on the overall market.PurposeThe purpose of this thesis is to present a deep analysis of the industry and give the reader a comprehensive picture of existing conditions.

AbstractThis study aims to investigate the applicability of well-recognized supply chain strategies based on product characteristics. Choosing the right supply chain strategy can be the difference between winner and loser in today?s competitive climate and science offers several recommendations as to which aspects that should be considered. Fisher (1997) and Christopher and Towill (2002) suggest that supply chain strategies should be based on what kind of product the company is handling and that, in order to know which strategy is the most appropriate, the products must be categorized. Some criteria developed for the categorization are lead time, forecast in demand and profit margin.

Background: The goal of psychiatric nursing interventions is to enhance people?s ability tocope with feelings of futility, to get control of their lives and to learn Coping strategies inorder to manage their mental illness and its consequences. Specialist nurses in psychiatric carecoordinate and direct nursing care based on evidence-based knowledge.Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate what kind of nursing acts specialist nurses usein the psychiatric inpatient unit and investigate how they perceive their professional role.Method: The design used was a descriptive qualitative interview study. Nine specialist nursesworking in psychiatric inpatient units were interviewed. Six of the participants were womenand three were men aged 28-53 years.

Therefore the demands for new environmental friendly technology have increased, also known as cleantech. To further establish and develop cleantech it requires capital. Venture capitalists have as well seen the potential.To increase the number of Venture capital investments in cleantech, it is important the investments generate good returns.

For hundreds of years the scientific journals has been the foremost tool for scholarly communication. Publishing of research results is very important for scientists. Often the research is bound to the university and the research libraries supplies the scientist with all journals needed. The last decades the libraries have seen the costs for subscriptions to journals explode. Commercial publishers often lie behind the mostly unmotivated escalation in price.

SammanfattningSyftet med studien var att beskriva vilka stressorer vårdpersonalen upplever i arbetet med äldre på ett äldreboende, personalens upplevelse av stressorerna samt vilka copingstrategier de använder sig av i dessa situationer. Studien hade en deskriptiv design. Data samlades in med instrument Daily Assesment of Coping (DCA). Resultatet visade att vårdpersonalen (n 33) upplevde stress vid 86 av totalt 155 möjliga arbetstillfällen. Stressorerna utmynnade i två huvudkategorier; patientrelaterade och personalrelaterade stressorer.

Lungcancer är ett hälsoproblem över hela världen. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att utifrån ett patientperspektiv belysa patienters erfarenheter och upplevelser av att leva med lungcancer.

Abstrakt: Stress i arbetslivet för sjuksköterskorna har blivit allt vanligare. Sjuksköterskors arbetsmiljö med sjukare patienter, mindre bemanning, minskad kontroll, stöd och återhämtning kan orsaka stress hos sjuksköterskan. Stress definieras som en obalans mellan de krav som ställs på individen och dess förmåga att hantera dem. En hanteringsstrategi är coping vilket innebär hur en individ bemästrar påfrestande situationer. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att studera hur sjuksköterskor vid en akutvårdsavdelning upplever och hanterar stressiga situationer. Metod: En kvalitativ ansats valdes i form av intervjuer som analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Analysen resulterade i tre domäner; orsaker till stress, hantering av stress och konsekvenser av stress. Studiens resultat visade att den främsta orsaken till upplevd stress för sjuksköterskorna var när de inte hade kontroll på situationen.

The aim of this study is to analyse the sexual power relations in contemporary urban novels of Swedish female writers.I have identified a discourse in these novels as a heteronormative matrix which power is ruled by norms and assumptions about normality in both the heterosexual and lesbian stories. For this purpose I have related to Ivar B. Neumanns theory that individuals always find a way to confront the discourse by three different strategies. These strategies are used in my study as tools to organise these novels, because it is possible to see that the protagonists find at least one of these strategy?s to her protest.The first strategy I studied was the docile.

När ett barn drabbas av cancer berör det både barnet och föräldrarna. Föräldrarnamåste hantera sina egna känslor och funderingar och samtidigt finnas där för detdrabbade barnet. Känslorna kan vara överväldigande och kommer att påverka bådebarnets men framförallt föräldrarnas vardagsliv. Syftet var därför att belysa föräldrarscopingstrategier när deras barn drabbas av cancer. Det genomfördes en systematisklitteratursökning som gav 13 stycken vetenskapliga artiklar.

Idrottsskador har konstaterats vara både fysiskt och psykiskt fenomen, och under de senaste åren har ett ökat intresse för den psykologiska faktorn visat sig. Syftet med studien var att undersöka om det finns något samband mellan upplevd stress och frekvensen idrottsskador hos elithandbollsspelare samt att undersöka om det finns något samband mellan grundanspänning (trait anxiety) och situationsspecifik anspänning (state anxiety). Ett tredje syfte är att undersöka huruvida en idrottares stressnivå varierar över tid och jämföra detta med de aktuella spelarnas skadefrekvens. Informanterna var 20 manliga elithandbollsspelare (19-32 år) i elitserien i Sverige, under säsongen 06/07, fördelat på två klubbar. Urvalet som gjordes var ett strategiskt urval, baserat på klubbarnas geografiska lokalisering.

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediatization of Swedish politics on a municipal level. We live in a world were media affects many aspects of life. One of those aspects is the communication between the citizens and the politicians.Our main research questions are:To what extent do politicians communicate with journalists and who initiates these contacts?Do politicians talk to some types of media rather than others?What factors make a politician choose to speak to media?To what extent do leading Swedish municipal politicians use media strategies?To answer these questions we have used various theories to help us understand media?s role oftoday. First we explain the transformation that has taken part in Swedish media over the last century, from political party press to independent media companies.
