Leadership is essential for every company. Its strength or weakness of direction, clarity, and evaluation affects success or failure of its organization. With the complex structure of the big and global companies today leadership is more challenging. The traditional view of leadership, with the single individual possessing all the competences and skills, is therefore being challenged by an alternative way of leadership, a shared leadership. Existing research on the subject is still scarce, which makes further studies in this field important.

The purpose of my empirical study is to see if and how teachers meet the students needs of physical activities in the daily work in the classroom. I also want to explore how different teachers see the connection between the concepts: physical activity and learning. To fulfill the purpose, I have chosen to ask four questions that I will work on in my study.How much and what type of physical activities do the students do in a typical day at school?What happens with the students when they have had a moment of physical activities in the classroom?Do the teachers see any connection between the physical activity and the pupils' ability to concentrate?How do teachers look upon the relationship between physical activity and learning?To get answers to my questions, I have observed and interviewed five teachers. I have compiled and analyzed the results.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the unaccompanied children's experiences of the support offered at group homes intended for this group. The purpose is also to find out if they feel like the stay at the group home has prepared them for an independent life. The study has a qualitative approach and results collection occurred through semi-structured interviews. Seven young men aged 18-20 years were interviewed, all of them have lived for at least one year in a group home and are now living in their own apartment. The results have shown that the adolescents had both positive and negative experiences from their stay at the group home and that they have different views about whether they have received the support they need to cope independently.

Uppsala University Library owns eight volumes of manuscripts attributed to the academy equerry Johan Leven Ekelund (c.1701?1775). In this thesis, I apply methods from the field of material culture studies in order to establish which of the volumes that formed the donation from Leven to the library mentioned in his will. By mapping certain markers such as places, names and dates I am able to identify to some extent where Leven gained his practical skills and which writers influenced him. By analysing the texts, I draw the conclusion that the manuscripts can be divided into groups aimed for different audiences.

The purpose of this study was to explore nurses' experiences of obstructed airways in the prehospital work.A qualitative interview study with a descriptive and explorative design was used. The sample consisted of nine registered nurses whereof three were women and six were men, with or without further education and varying length of experience in the ambulance service.Prehospital personnel builds up a vast plan of action based on the emergency information provided by SOS. Simple methods for managing obstructed airways were stated often enough. Problems with obstructed airways are considered so unusual that it never becomes a routine. Several factors affect the identification and managing of obstructed airways, both external factors and the different patient categories are considered important.

Detta examensarbete behandlar föräldrars erfarenhet av behandlingsprogrammet Parent Management Training - Oregonmodellen (PMTO). PMTO är ett kliniskt behandlingsprogram för föräldrar som har barn med beteendesvårigheter. Syftet var att utreda föräldrars tillfredsställelse med PMTO och samarbetet med terapeuten, samt att undersöka sambandet mellan tillfredsställelse med behandling och behandlingseffekt, och sambandet mellan behandlingsresultat och föräldrars tillfredsställelse med det terapeutiska samarbetet. Tre enkäter besvarades av föräldrar. Två av enkäterna mäter förändring i barnets externaliserande och internaliserande beteende (Child Behavior Checklist, CBCL) samt social förmåga (Social Skills Rating System, SSRS).

ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to explore nurses' experiences of informing relatives to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU).MethodThe study was descriptive with a qualitative approach. Nine nurses were interviewed. The study took place in a university hospital in the midst of Sweden. An interview guide was used, designed in consensus with the study questions. Data was analyzed via qualitative content analysis.FindingsMeeting and preparing relatives at the arrival at the ICU seemed valuable and led to safety and participation among relatives.

AbstraktDen palliativa vården har utvecklats under de senaste åren och hospicerörelsen med dess filosofi har vuxit sig stark i Sverige. Sjuksköterskan har en stor roll inom denna vårdform vilket innebär en aktiv helhetsvård av den sjuke patienten och dess familj. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa sjuksköterskans upplevelse av att arbeta inom palliativ vård. Metoden som användes var systematisk litteraturstudie och antalet vetenskapliga artiklar som inkluderades var 13 till antalet. Tre kategorier växte fram av detta material och dessa var att arbeta inom den palliativa vården, copingstrategier och sjuksköterskans roll.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to investigate the library needs of distance students. This user study has a student perspective and concentrates on the main question of which way library needs might be expressed by distance students. Associated topics addressed by this study include; the problem of learning centres lacking their own library support, how distance students look upon library support as a concept and whether distance students prefer public libraries or university libraries, and why they make this choice. These questions may give the answer to how distance students deal with information literacy. Theories chosen by the study are in the fields of pedagogical and library science, the social cultural theory by Roger Säljö and in Tom Wilson's theories on user studies and information needs.

Syftet med vår studie var att ge ett kunskapsbidrag till problemområdet motorik, utveckling och lärande med utgångspunkt från några pedagogers arbete med och förhållningssätt till fysiska aktiviteter och lärande i förskolan. Vi valde att genomföra en kvalitativ studie, där vi intervjuade sex verksamma förskollärare. Tidigare forskning har delade meningar om fysisk aktivitet och dess betydelse för barns lärande. Flera forskare konstaterar dock att det finns ett samband mellan motorik och lärande. Resultatet av studien visade att också verksamma pedagoger ser ett samband mellan motorik och lärande.

Forskning har visat på ledarskapets betydelsefulla roll för att främja hälsa och minimera arbetsrelaterad ohälsa. Detta samtidigt som ledares egen arbetsroll ofta kännetecknas av hög arbetsbelastning och påfrestning vilket är riskfaktorer för arbetsrelaterad stress och ohälsa. Studien undersöker upplevelser och hantering av stress på arbetsplatsen hos chefer med personalansvar. Även arbetsrelaterade resurser har undersökts för att synliggöra huruvida dessa inverkar vid hantering av stress. Sex individuella djupintervjuer med personalchefer genomfördes och databearbetningen gjordes med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Studiens intresseområde var IT-support och supportsituationer mellan företag och fastighetsmäklare. Fastighetsmäklare i Sverige är en yrkesgrupp som använder sig utav teknik i sitt arbete, t.ex. bärbara datorer och digitala kameror. Införandet av IT (Informationsteknologi) i arbetslivet har förändrat yrkesgruppens arbetssätt och påverkat denna yrkesgrupp markant. Det här gör att fastighetsmäklaren är beroende av att tekniken fungerar och har behov av välfungerande support vid uppkomna problem.

The aim for my thesis has been to investigate how literature, or fiction, is used in management education. What books are used ? is there a literary leadership canon? What do the educators and the writers on this subject suggest that these books can teach the leaders? What are the philosophical foundations of this education? And ? last but not least ? does what the educators and writers offer respond to the needs of the businesses? My investigation shows that there is a canon in the area of management and fiction, where realistic 19th century novels, alongside with Shakespeare?s plays are dominant. Female writers and non-western writers are very underrepresented. The positive outcomes of reading and discussing these literary works that the educators and writers suggest do substantially correspond with the needs of the businesses, as presented by my sources.

Bakgrund: När beslutet att flytta in på ett särskilt boende fattats förändras livssituationen för både den som drabbats av demens som för de anhöriga.Syftet: Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att studera och beskriva anhörigas upplevelser i samband med att en person som drabbats av demens flyttar in på ett särskilt boende. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en litteraturöversikt. Litteratur­sökningarna gjordes i databaserna Medline och Cinahl efter relevanta artiklar. Sökord som användes var relatives, experience, caregivers burden, coping, dementia, nursing home, placement, decision, Sweden, family caregivers. Sexton vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Människor som drabbas av kronisk/långvarig njursvikt i Sverige kan erbjudas olika behandlingsmöjligheter. Behandlingen innefattar många olika delar såsom diet, vätskeföreskrifter, medicinering och dialysbehandlingar. Med egenvård avses de aktiviteter som krävs för att optimalt kunna leva med en sjukdom i vardagen och egenvårdsförmåga som kunskaper, kompetens och aktiviteter relaterade till hälsa. Syftet var att beskriva faktorer som har betydelse för egenvården hos patienter med kronisk/långvarig njursvikt från ett patientperspektiv. Studien är utförd som en litteraturstudie av sju kvalitativa artiklar.
