In contemporary Sweden political participation among foreign-born Swedes is viewed as low and it is well known that foreign-born individuals do not use their voting rights to the same extent as the general population. At the same time there are numerous ethnic associations around the country who work with various activities involving political, democratic and integration issues. This study aims to study how four members of a Somali association regard, relate to and work with politics, democracy and integration. The study is based on these four people, but also on their relationship with authorities and other agencies in the community. The conclusion of this study shows in brief that the desire to participate politically is great, but that democracy and politics is accessible to all, depending on the level of language skills and what political knowledge the individual has.

Det psykosociala omvårdnadsbehovet kan vara stort hos kvinnor med bröstcancer. Syftet med studien var att belysa faktorer som påverkar omvårdnaden av kvinnliga bröstcancerpatienter ur ett psykosocialt perspektiv. I litteraturstudien bearbetades tio vetenskapliga artiklar utifrån detta syfte. Resultatet belyste vikten av självhjälp och psykosocialt stöd från närstående i form av coping-strategier samt kommunikation och bemötande. Det belyste även det professionella stödets betydelse genom kommunikation och bemötande samt vikten av ett holistiskt och personcentrerat engagemang.

In addition to all our soldiers and officers who do military services abroad there are a lot of people who are affected by their choice to contribute, namely their next of kin. This report deals only with those who are next of kin to those who perform service abroad. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relatives' need for emotional and social support as well as practical and economical support. The main question is What kind of practical/economical and emotional/social support do close relatives require when a relative does military service abroad? The method used in this paper is a qualitative research interview.

The aim of this graduate essay is to elucidate and compare the approach to learning that emerges in texts about the two educational practices Montessori and Reggio Emilia.The guiding research questions in this study are:What do Montessori and Reggio Emilia that learning is about?The mean Montessori and Reggio Emilia that learning goes to?How do you describe the Montessori and Reggio Emilia justification why it is important to learn? Through a poststructural theoretical framework and text analysis the study focused on what has been written about learning in the traditions of Montessori and Reggio Emilia.The results of the study indicate that both Montessori and Reggio Emilia look at the child in a similar way in which the child have the desire to explore and learn. Both pedagogy traditions think that the child will develop into independent people who can change society in the future for the better and with a democratic basis.The study also reveals how the Swedish curriculum (Skolverket, 98/10) is inspired both by the Reggio Emilia and Montessori traditions through describing how preschool should stimulate and challenge the child's development and learning, utilize and strengthen the interests of children to learn to conquer new experiences, knowledge and skills..

AbstractPurpose/Aim: The aim of this essay is to examine the democratic potential of Forum Games.The main focus of the essay is if working with forum games can help the participators to better communicate their thoughts and ideas and through this take better part in a democratic society.Material/Method: The material to the study has been gathered through three interviews with persons using forum games in their work and one enquiry with 21 students in Teacher education at Uppsala University, who had recently tried the method for the first time.Main results: The conclusion of the study is that forum game has a democratic potential. Ability to communicate is important for a democratic society and participating in forum games can improve the participators communication abilities. Furthermore forum games seem to have other positive effects on a democratic society, apart from helping the participators to improve their communication skills.Keywords: Forum Games, Forum Theatre, Communication, Democracy, Drama.

This report is the result of several interviews of employees within the field of pedagogy. The background behind this report is my period as a trainee in one of the daily activities in Malmo. In daily activities the employers gets training, education and guidance in Marte meo, which is funded by public finances. The method, which this study focuses upon is called Marte meo. It is a method of communicating and developing the means for the participants to evolve their skills in communicating and increase self esteem.

Samhällets behov av arbetsföra individer har medfört att det är viktigt att få människor som är sjukskrivna åter i arbete. Arbetsgivarna är de som har rehabiliteringsansvar för sina anställda och för att lyckas med denna rehabilitering är det viktigt för arbetsgivarna att veta vad som främjar individers motivation och framgång i rehabiliteringsarbetet. Syftet med denna undersökning var att studera individers upplevelse av deltagande i Luleå kommuns rehabiliteringsåtgärd Ormberget ? en ?Arena för hälsa?. Frågeställningarna som skulle besvaras var hur deltagandet i åtgärden påverkade individernas uppfattning om den egna förmågan och hur de upplevde sambandet mellan åtgärden och det egna arbetet.

Outsourcing in IS/IT offers organizations the possibility to use external resources, maximize flexibility and focus on core business, this prompts many organizations today to be less keen on developing IS/IT-services in-house. Sourcing IS/IT is however a complex activity in itself thus requiring competencies in many areas of expertise and lots of organizations has experienced the challenge of managing the necessary competencies to ensure successful Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO). A literature review in the field of outsourcing revealed the lack of a comprehensive competency management framework with the ability to guide competency resource planning in ITO projects. In order to highlight the problem area, an extensive and thorough literature review and an empirical case study which investigated the skills and assets in ITO projects at ten major Swedish organizations was conducted. The study found that it is possible for organizations through structured analysis of their intellectual capital, using the competency framework developed within the study, to plan sourcing processes and prepare the necessary changes to ensure the ITO projects can be implemented with the desired effect..

Creating instructions is not just about words, but also about text structure. A company creates many instructions to document their management systems, which often are presented through an intranet. This study examines how the text can be presented to make content understandable and give employees the knowledge to take action. An interview survey was made at Skanska Sweden and their management system "Vårt sätt att arbeta". The results show that it is mainly about creating an overview of the system and creating separations between different text sections.

Early during my education to become an afterschool-teacher a concern was raised that afterschool-programs will continue to be seen as an institution for childcare services. In this experience-based essay, I discuss what I see as the coreproblem: the free- and planned activities. What do the free- and planned activities actually mean for children's development and what is it that determines how much space the various activities will be allowed to take?In my attempts to answer this question, I go through the concept of leisure, the importance of children?s play and adults responsibilities in children?s play, what the different policy documents say about children?s play and the creative work, staff skills and theoretical and practical knowledge. I question whether I was right in the story that I begin this essay with, and conclude that it is more difficult than I previously thought to find an answer to the question..

Tidigare forskning beskriver att stress är en riskfaktor för ohälsa och det är ett arbetsmiljöproblem. Ohälsa bland unga kvinnor ökar i dagens samhälle. Syftet med studien var att finna olika kvalité i stresskänsla hos unga kvinnor och hur deras arbetssituation kan inverka på deras arbetsrelaterade stressupplevelse. För att få mer kunskap kring ämnet stress, har det undersökts hur kvinnor berörs av stress i deras arbetssituation och hur kvinnorna hanterar sin stressupplevelse på deras arbetsplats. Åtta kvinnor som dagligen upplevde arbetsrelaterad stress samt arbetat minst i sex månader, intervjuades.

Barn får idag inte alltid möjlighet att bearbeta sin sorg. I tron om att de skyddar sina barn utesluter föräldrar barnen från viktiga delar i sorgeprocessen. Hur en person upplever sorghantering i barndomen har inverkan på vilka möjligheter denne får till en hälsosam sorghantering i vuxen ålder. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur föräldrar kan tala med sina barn om sorg, vilken roll föräldrar kan uppleva att de har i sina barns sorghantering samt hur föräldrar kan uppleva att deras barndomsrelaterade erfarenheter av sorghantering har inflytande på hur de talar med sina barn om sorg. Intervjuer gjordes med sju föräldrar.

This study, a document analysis with a qualitative approach, explores children, under 18years, who have been subject to measures of child welfare in the city of Malmö during theyears 1935-1937. It also explores the school's role in this context. The questions that the studyis guided by is: How was children described in the Child Welfare documents in Malmö duringthe years 1935-1937? And what role did the school have in Child Welfare work and whatmotivated this? The theoretical approaches are Foucaults theories of power, control anddisciplining.It appears from the study that the school and child welfare authorities had a close cooperationwith the purpose to control the upbringing and disciplining of the children. It was through theupbringing that the deviant child would become a "normal", docile and good, industriouscitizen.

Fotbollsdomare utsätts för en mängd olika stressorer. De använder sig av olika copingstrategier för att klara av dessa. Domare får utstå både knuffar, sparkar, slag och dödshot. Motivationen till att trots allt fortsätta döma har visat sig ligga i kärleken till sporten. Det saknas dock kvalitativ forskning inom området.

Inom ambulanssjukvården utsätts personalen dagligen för olika stressmoment och detta kan leda till att ambulanssjuksköterskor drabbas av posttraumatiskt stress syndrom. Flera olika stressfaktorer påverkar arbetet och därmed den enskilde ambulanssjuksköterskans psykiska och fysiska hälsa. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att belysa yrkesrelaterade stressfaktorer inom ambulanssjukvården och vilka copingstrategier som ambulanssjuksköterskan använder sig av i sitt dagliga arbete. Studien har en deskriptiv design och genomfördes som en litteraturstudie. Vi har använt oss av tre olika databaser, PsycINFO, PubMed och CINAHL.
