SAMMANFATTNINGDetta examensarbete är baserat på en uppgift från Small Domestic Appliances (småhushållsprodukter) på Electrolux. Arbetet har handlat om att få in mer naturliga materialmed ?premium? känsla i deras produkter, annat än plast och rostfritt stål.Materialundersökningen har inkluderat: glas, trä, keramik och dekorativa tillämpningarför metall och plast. Hur en användare upplever ett material har också undersökts.Information har samlats in i två undersökningar; en om trender, marknad ochkonkurrenter samt en om material, leverantörer, tillverknings- och ytbehandlingsmetoder.Tre subjektiva test har gjorts på taktilitet för att få reda på hur vissa material upplevs avanvändare. Testerna utfördes med hjälp av materialprover, frågeformulär ochtestpersoner.Ett objektivt test på friktion utfördes också där friktionskoefficienten mellan ett materialsyta och fingertopparna räknades ut.

SammandragDetta examensarbete utförs i samarbete med företaget Componenta Wirsbo AB. Componenta smider detaljer till den tunga fordonsindustrin. Företaget använder sig av sänksmide där materialet formas genom slag från två rörliga verktyg. Smitt material har mycket goda hållfasthets egenskaper samt en mycket homogen struktur.Företaget har som miljömål att minska sin uppvärmningsenergi med 5 %. Componenta arbetar även med ett Leanprojekt som ska leda till en mer kontinuerlig produktion.

Inom olika boendeområden existerar olika sociala förhållanden, vilka skapar skilda möjligheter för dess invånare. En del av dagens sociala reproduktion gäller alltså utsatthet på bostadsmarknaden och för att komma åt denna utsatthet är det viktigt att få en förståelse för den bakomliggande processen genom vilken individer väljer boendeområde. I denna studie undersöks förhållandet mellan andelen utlandsfödda i uppväxtområdet och andelen utlandsfödda i boendeområdet i vuxen ålder.
