Today small metal parts are mass-produced as for example rollers in cylinder bearings. At high velocity cutting the metal is cut with a great force in a scissor-like device. Both precision and repeatability is important to be able to guarantee good quality, but from an economical point of view it is also important to keep a great manufacturing capacity. The part of the process that is most time consuming is when the metal bar, that is about to be cut, is fed to the right position. Therefore it is interesting to examine if the time used for positioning can be reduced.

Cross infection is a global health problem. The cost for cross infection increases every year. Florence Nightingale focused her attention on preventing cross infections by using good hygiene and as a nurse that is one of your more important tasks. Nurses have guidelines for how hygiene should be implemented in practice. The aim of this study is to investigate factors that influence nurses´ compliance to guidelines regarding hygiene.

Studien undersöker relationer mellan stark ångestsymtom och personlighetsdrag samt bakgrundsfaktorer. 35 deltagare, 23 kvinnor och 12 män, rekryterades på en högskola och besvarade en enkät.Resultaten visar en stark relation mellan personlighetsdraget neuroticism och ångest men inga andra korrelationer med övriga faktorer. En djupare analys av resultaten tyder på att den population ur vilken deltagarna rekryterats inte varit lämplig för att undersöka de aktuella frågeställningarna, eftersom deltagarna uppvisat en mycket låg grad av ångest i testet och även en mycket hög grad av inre locus of Control. Diskussionen har väckt frågor anknutna till instrumentens lämplighet och beskaffenhet, men också om olika relationer i personligheten kan tänkas gälla för grupper som ligger på hög respektive låg nivå av ångest. En slutsats av detta arbete är att frågan är viktig och intressant och att det finns tillräckligt med teoretiskt underlag för att återkomma med ett mer omfattande val av deltagare och lämpligare mätverktyg..

Ecolean Development AB are developing and manufacturing filling machines for pasteurized liquid food products. Because of lack of any appropriate supplier of box closer which seals boxes with small flaps, they have decided to start a project to develop a prototype of a box closer. Due to long experience from industrial automation I have been given a chance to develop Control system for a box closer. Degree thesis involves electric design in ELPROCAD ic PRO and programming of PLC (programmable logic Controller) and HMI (Human Machine Interface). The report describes degree project from the project plan phase via the development phase to the conclusions.

This master thesis in energy optimization was made during the autumn of 2006 at Käppala wastewater treatment plant in Lidingö, Stockholm. A preceding thesis, where all electricity consumption was mapped, showed that the aeration in the biological treatment is the single largest consumer in the plant, and it is therefore of interest to reduce this cost. The oxygen Control strategy used at Käppala WWTP is working well from a nutrient removal point of view, but not from an economic one. The last aerobic zones have a very low oxygen consumption during low loading periods which give rise to enhanced dissolved oxygen concentrations with excessive costs and reduced denitrification as a result. But also during periods of normal loading unnecessary high oxygen concentration are sometimes given.By modifying the aeration Control strategy three full-scale experiments have been made, with the intention to reduce the air consumption.

The purpose of this essay has been to examine whether attitudes and behavior among Swedish people who takes snuff are dissonant or not and how their attitudes are affected by the media debate about the health risks snuff can cause. Furthermore, we were interested in finding out how different reference groups´ attitudes would influence the attitudes and the willingness of people to stop taking snuff and investigate how much Control the people who take snuff think they have. To answer these questions we chose to ask primarily students at Stockholm University and Södertörns Högskola. The students were asked to fill out a questionnaire with 22 questions and the 100 responses we collected were worked up in a statistic program, SPSS, on the computer. The main models used for the essay and for the questionnaire were the Theory of Planned behavior and the Dissonance theory.

This thesis aims to investigate the voting premium for companies differentiating voting rights between share classes on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. The voting premium represents the value of a vote attached to the share. The voting premium can be estimated from the price premium between two listed share classes with differentiated voting rights. Rydqvist's dissertation (1987) serves as a model for this study which investigates whether the theory of the so called "oceanic games", along with a proxy variable for cost of Control, can predict the voting premium during 2010-2012. To the original model developed by Rydqvist, Control variables for differences in liquidity between share classes are added to investigate for an increase in the explanatory power.

Despite this, studiesfrom SP shows that few buildings meet the client?s requirements inspecific energy, which increases the risk of occurrence ofcondensation-related moisture damage.This study aims to evaluate curtain walls connections from airsecurity and moisture safety.

Denna energi ska sparas på ett sådant sätt att effekten för användarna blirså liten som möjligt.I denna rapport beskrivs hur ett reglersystem kan byggas för att minska energiförbrukningen hosväxthus genom att reglera belysningen på ett effektivt sätt. Systemet är helt automatiskt vilket göratt användarna inte behöver tänka på styrningen av lamporna alls när väl systemet är uppsatt ochkonfigurerat.För att styra lamporna på ett bra sätt mäts det inkommande ljuset med en PAR-sensor. Lampornatänds och släcks därefter beroende på ljusmängden och även på hur varmt, eller kallt, det är iväxthusen.Styrningen av belysningen sker med en mikrokontroller från Microchip, en PIC18F4620 som ärprogrammerad i C18. Kringkomponenter som portexpasioner, klocka och reläer användes också föratt bygga ett bra reglersystem.Resultatet är att det är möjligt att bygga ett reglersystem med begränsad budget som styr lampornapå ett effektivt sätt.

In recent years, several scandals have been revealed where public employees been involved. Some researchers argue, moreover, that the NPM's rampage has led to an increase in the risk of corruption in public administration. The Regulation on Internal Control shall, according to the government, lead to adequate protection against corruption by analyzing and managing risks. However, Riksrevisionen have criticized the authorities' protection against corruption to be too unstructured and unsystematic. In addition, they questioned whether the regulation really has significance in the work against corruption.

This report is an inventory of the street lighting in half of the residential estates owned by Karlstad Bostads AB, a public housing company. The inventory was made to reduce the environmental impact of the street lighting. From the inventory an estimation of the total installed power and the energy consumption was made. The total estimated power of the street lighting was 125 kW and the energy consumption was 500 000 kWh/year with an estimated running time of 4 000 h/year. The dominating source of light was 125 W discharge mercury lamps.

Speech disorders are common in children with 22q11-deletion syndrome, but there is limited knowledge about speech in adults with this syndrome. The aim of this study is to describe speech and voice in adultswith 22q11-deletion syndrome, and compare the results with a Control group.Ten adults between 19-49 years participated in each group. The study wasbased on the Swedish dysarthria assessment, Dysartribedömningen. Thetested abilities were respiration, phonation, oral motor function, velopharyngeal function, articulation, prosody and intelligibility. Communicative participation was examined as well.

The purpose of this study is to achieve an understanding of how a CE- marking process is conducted and to identify the relevant factors that must be considered in such a process. We have conducted our study at Lo?vhults Svets & Smide AB (Lo?vhults) in Skruv, Sma?land Sweden, which are manufacturing brackets for small covering constructions.To understand how a CE-marking process is conducted several documents and provisions have been reviewed to achieve a basic understanding and insight of the subject. It thus led to that guideline ETAG 015 were studied and the factors to be considered in the CE-marking of brackets were identified. Together with Jan-A?ke Johansson at Lo?vhults we agreed on four different brackets to investigate for a potential CE-marking.

Background: In Sweden and Norway planned home birth is not included in the health care system. In Denmark women with expected low risk birth have the right to choose home birth. Registrations of home births in the Nordic countries are not completed and women?s experiences of planned home birth in Scandinavian context are not earlier described.Objective: The aim of this study was to describe women?s experiences of planned home birth in the Scandinavian countries.Design: Inductive content analysis. Fifty-three Scandinavian women who have experienced planned home birth have replied an open question in a questionnaire.
