This study is focused on some individuals' experience of the concept of culture in their everyday life. Some questions about culture were asked to some persons living in a small village in the isle of Gotland and some persons in the capital of Sweden, Stockholm, in the autumn in 2007 in a field study.The study showed that peopele tend to shape their own life world in the continuous activity in their near surroundings, in the garden and in reading literature and listening to music. There were some differences in the life world depending on where they lived,  in the country side or in town. Urban life has more offers as to popera and theatres but negatively more violence and stress.A study of literature on the ethnological concept of culture is included. The answers of the individuals also led to different topics such as nostalgia, mind, fear, feelings, body and soul which were enlightened by scientist from the respective fields..

This essay studies the christening rites in Church of Sweden and what theological motives that are present herein, and how the current revision of the rites have brought in new theological motives with the basis in the contemporary theological debate about the liturgy and theology surrounding the christening rites.The conclusion of the essay is that the revised christening rites have not included any new motives, but has rather restructured and re-emphasized the motives to adopt the christening rites to the findings of contemporary research regarding the christening..

The aim of this study is to have a deeper understanding about the motivations and the obstacles of an immigrant?s language learning. I have studied the problem with focus on integration and language learning. The study is principally based on deep interviews with Turkish immigrants. I have studied the question by means of a socio-cultural perspective of learning; Mead?s conceptions I, Me and the generalised other; Scheff?s conception, the social bonds and Freire?s conception, dialog and Asplund?s conception social responsiveness.

Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) within the European Union are currently facing many challenges one being access to financing due to high risk and probability of default, another being cross-border taxation issues with double taxation and information asymmetry. Since the aim within the EU is to be the most competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy in the world with sustainable economic growth and social cohesion it is essential that the EU operates as a single market. Despite this need, harmonization continues to be far from achieved in the area of direct taxation which also affects the integration and growth opportunities for SMEs. In the Agenda for Entrepreneurship, the Home State Taxation regime, which is based on formula apportionment, has been proposed by the Commission as one option in order to mutually recognize the different Member States? taxation systems to facilitate cross-border activities and reduce ?red-tape?.

This study will examine if caregivers, working with people with dementia problems, is in need of support and in what way they see how the support should be designed. Previous research shows that there are many factors in elderly care that affect all of the caregivers. Working with people in this sort if dependence, requires a lot of the caregivers, both mentally and physically. To study if the caregivers consider themselves to be in need of support, and in what way they see how the support should be designed, the study employs a qualitative approach using to types of interviews, one focus group with four assistant nurses, and two individual in-depth interviews with the administrative personnel and one nurse. The results show that the need for support for the caregivers exists. Caregivers working with people with dementia problems, daily face difficulties, some more difficult to handle than others.

Abstract The Act of Education outlines that good quality in schools and preschools, focusing on continuous improvement, promote children?s learning and this in turn is on of the most important factors for child and youth welfare.This thesis was based on the authorsŽ pre-understanding that there are opportunities to improvement in the quality of preschools. The focus was on studying how analyses can provide a base for quality work, and the purpose of this study was to identify and describe the analytical methods that can be used in the process of continual improvement for quality development in preschools.A qualitative study was conducted in two preschools that have received quality awards. It was conducted through interviews with the preschool principals and through studies of various documents.In the comparative analysis of theory and empirical data, it was made clear that there was a regular analysing process going on at the investigated preschools and an emphasize of reflection could also be identified. Keywords: Quality development, preschool, analytical methods, processes, reflection .

The aim with this project was to describe how nursing staff working in the home care environment perceive their level of knowledge regarding mental ill health and if this level of knowledge is sufficient / insufficient in their dealings with mentally ill patients. The study is empirical and a qualitative method has been used. Questionaires have been used and interviews have been carried out with nurses working in the home care system and data has also been collected from previous research in this area. Result The result show that home care nurses consider that they have inadequate knowledge of treating patients with mental ill health and they seek more training, guidance and collaboration with psychiatric nurses. Conclusion Increased knowledge of mental health care and continuous guidance would make home care nurses more confident in their dealings with patients suffering from mental ill health.

Today, there are few industries left in our cities. Industrial areas thatare located in urban settings close to water or city centers are oftenreplaced by housing. In my thesis I want to explore how such industrialsite located in an urban setting can be transformed into anindustrial park where the industrial structures are saved. By approachingthis type of environment in a positive manner, I wish tohighlight the potential aesthetic and functional value in the existingindustrial structure. Through the transformation and design of anexisting industrial site I will convey the previous use and history ofthe place.The wastewater treatment plant, KungsÀngsverket, is located in thedistrict of KungsÀngen in the southern part of Uppsala.

Bakgrund: MÄnga patienter som sjÀlvskadar Àr missnöjda med den omvÄrdnad de fÄtt och sjuksköterskors upplevelser av dessa patienter yttrar sig i kvalitén pÄ den vÄrd och omsorg som de erbjuder. Med tanke pÄ dessa sammanhang anser jag det relevant att belysa sjuk-sköterskors upplevelser av patienter med sjÀlvskadebeteende och vilka faktorer som kan pÄverka dessa. Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie Àr att belysa sjuksköterskans upp-levelser av patienter med sjÀlvskadebeteende. Ytterligare en frÄgestÀllning som behandlas i denna studie Àr vilka faktorer som kan pÄverka denna upplevelse. Metod: I denna littera-turstudie har 10 vetenskapliga artiklar, varav sex kvantitativa och fyra kvalitativa, granskats och analyserats.

A common phenomena in descriptions of Western mission initiatives to the South is theoverrepresentation of depictions of the missionaries and underrepresentation of theindigenous people. It is fair to say that there is a need for new perspectives. This thesisinvestigates the agency of the indigenous people in the Scandinavian Pentecostal mission inTanganyika 1932-1945. It highlights roles and areas of their participation which seldomoccur in western mission biographies, but were tanganyikan people played a crucial part,such as evangelisation, church planting and the forming of contextualized theology. Thepentecostal theology and mission praxis contributed to a large degree to shape that agency..

I dagens svenska samhÀlle finns det mÄnga mÀnniskor med utlÀndsk bakgrund och skolan har blivit en plats dÀr möte mellan olika kulturer dagligen sker, vilket i sin tur öppnar möjligheter för en integration. Tidigare forskning menar att svenska skolan Àr en av de viktigaste institutionerna dÀr olika etniska och religiösa identiteter kan mötas. LÀroplanen för det obligatoriska skolvÀsendet menar att internationaliseringen stÀller högre krav pÄ mÀnniskor att leva i en kulturell mÄngfald. Dock har forskare valt att koncentrera sig pÄ att se hur lÀrare jobbar med invandrarelever i de teoretiska Àmnena, vilket gjort att det finns i lucka i forskningen nÀr det gÀller Àmnet Idrott och hÀlsa och integration.Syftet med vÄr uppsats Àr att undersöka idrottslÀrares syn pÄ hur Àmnet Idrott och hÀlsa fungerar som en integrationsarena, det vill sÀga hur lÀrarna ser pÄ problem och möjligheter i undervisningen nÀr det gÀller att integrera invandrarelever i skolans vÀrld och i det svenska samhÀllet.Vi har valt att göra en kvalitativ undersökning, genom att intervjua fem lÀrare som undervisar i Àmnet Idrott och hÀlsa. Dessa lÀrare har Àven erfarenhet av undervisning av bÄde invandrarelever och svenska elever. VÄr undersökning visar att idrottslÀrarna ser invandrareleverna som en tillgÄng i undervisningen, eftersom alla kan ta lÀrdom av varandras olikheter.

Syftet med min studie Àr att beskriva arbetsgivares upplevelser och erfarenheter, av arbetet med att integrera anstÀllda med funktionsnedsÀttning i verksamheten. Arbetsgivarna har tagit emot arbetstagare med funktionsnedsÀttning och nedsatt arbetsförmÄga, via sÄ kallad övergÄng frÄn Samhall AB. MÀnniskor med funktionsnedsÀttning har svÄrare att nÄ, fÄ och behÄlla arbete och exkluderas frÄn arbetsmarknaden, vilket regeringen har som ambition att förbÀttra. SamhÀllet ska prÀglas av mÄngfald och allas lika rÀttigheter. Detta innebÀr bland annat allas rÀtt till arbete för en fortsatt vÀlfÀrd.

Det övergripande syftet med denna studie Àr att utveckla kunskap och fÄ en ökad förstÄelse av musikskolan El Sistemas verksamhet i Sverige med utgÄngspunkt i en av El Sistemaskolorna i Göteborg. Det har varit av vikt att utforska huruvida El Sistemas arbetssÀtt och metoder Àr nÄgonting utöver vad som kan sÀgas vara ?vanlig? musikundervisning i musik- och kulturskola. DÀrför har det Àven varit vÀsentligt att sÀtta sig in i skolans bakomliggande idéer och förutsÀttningar. Studiens teoretiska ram Àr inspirerad av sociokulturell teori och genomförandet av etnografisk metod. Resultaten har dock frÀmst framkommit genom kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra pedagoger och sex elever.
