This paper deals with how science teachers in the Swedish secondary school choose the content in the education they give to the pupils. What are the reasons for their choices and what do they think of the purpose of science in secondary school? Through interviewing science teachers the investigation shows that there are three different views of how to choose content in the science education: one focuses on the processes of science itself, one integrates the socio-cultural aspects and one emphasizes the interests of the pupils.

This report is focusing on problems with introducing standard enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) in businesses. A study has been carried out on a service and support department at a Swedish heat metering company, SVM North Node. The study aims to help the company become a better customer in choice and customization of a new ERP system. We make a description of the department studied and the work carried out there, on the basis of learning, knowledge and cooperation. As a final point we present some ideas on how computer systems could support their work, hoping that this will result in them making adequate demands on a new ERP system..

I och med införandet av BIM-metodiken inom byggbranschen, har flera frågor fötts kring reformationen av arbetsmetodiken inom projekteringsprocessen. En av dessa är frågan om content; grafik - och informationsinnehållet i en BIM-modell.  Rapportens syfte har varit att, via analys av befintliga contenthanteringstrategier, frambringa rekommendationer för utformande av konsekventa arbetsmetodiker inom Revit-projekt. Mål- sättningen har varit att rekommendationerna skall bidra till förstärkning och vidareutveckling av ett företags hantering av Revit-content.  Arbetet inleddes med en serie intervjuer på arkitektföretaget Tengboms Stockholmskontor. Intervjuerna utfördes med representanter för olika Revit-baserade projekt. Av dessa valdes fyra projekt ut till mer detaljerade fallstudier, där syftet var att kartlägga vilka strategier Tengbom tillämpat i sina Revit-projekt. Parallellt med intervjuerna, utfördes en litteraturstudie där information om befintliga contenthanteringsstrategier inom övriga företag och organisationer, kunde förvärvas och analyseras. Resultatet av fallstudierna på Tengbom jämfördes med de teorier som framkommit via litteraturstudien.

Problem: The corrugated board industry is highly affected by customer uncertainty, various demands and short delivery times. In combination with a complex multi-step production process managers have to be able to identify bottle-necks and gain knowledge and understanding of how different changes in process will affect the production output. <br/><br/>Purpose: The purpose of this master thesis is twofold, (1) to examine applicability of complexity theory through agent-based modelling on a production process (2) to identify improvement areas in order to increase the production output at SKS production site in Eslöv, by modelling and simulating the production process through an agent-based model. <br/><br/>Method: The chosen method of this study is a combination of a case study and a complex system approach. The empirical data was collected through interviews, observation and document studies which were analysed through an agent-based simulation model.

As we have previously been active in the management of multiple role configurations, including middle-management positions, we have some prior understanding of the complexity of this position. The study was conducted with the aim to investigate different aspects of what leadership for middle managers in home care management in Halmstad municipality may mean to them. This paper describes the redesign of a site (Kolonn.se). Some of the problems with the site were a lack of structure and a design that was unclear both visitor and search engines. In 1994 the EU directive of packaging waste was adopted. The result was that all EU member states developed different systems to manage packaging waste and recycling. This paper examines the various systems and the factors that affect the level of recycling. This is done by a cross-sectional study between countries. The results of my study suggest that take-back system generates less recycling than other systems, the mandatory deposit system can affect the recycling in a positive way.

This master thesis was performed at IdaInfront AB. The aim of the thesis was toinvestigate how the design principles ofthe user interface in Windows 8 can beapplied to a case management system. Theuser interface in Windows 8 is based ona design language called Metro and it isprimarily designed for touch screens.Ida Infront AB wanted to know whatpossibilities and limitations the Metrointerface offers.The study has resulted in a prototypeapplication that is developed in Windows8. The prototype shows how the Metrointerface can be applied on a casemanagement system. Some limitations inthe usability have been identified inthe Metro interface when applied to acase management system.
