Fair Trade: A Study of Consumers? Perception and Knowledge in a Minor Town in Sweden
The purpose of this thesis is to get a better understanding of consumers? perception and knowledge of Fair Trade and Fair Trade products in Sweden. Literature was reviewed before the empirical research was conducted. A quantitative method, in form of a questionnaire survey, has been used. We have entered different areas related to our topic.

The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of how an individual's identity is constructed and reinforced through clothing brands. This we intend to achieve by studying and analyzing the significance of clothing brands on consumers. In close proximity to this purpose, we have chosen to work with three research questions:? How do consumers see clothing as a means to express themselves? ? What perception does consumers have on clothing brands as identity creators? ? How do consumers value wearing clothes from a particular clothing brand?.

Sustainability reports are drawn up for the company's stakeholders and declare the company?s corporate social responsibility. Consumers are one of the companies' most important stakeholders for food companies. This study is aimed to describe how consumers perceive sustainability reporting in the food industry and if the application level of the GRI framework has an impact on how consumers perceive sustainability reports. Consumer perception is described in the GRI principles and the basis is the ICA and Coop's sustainability reports, which are two of Sweden's largest food company.
Kan samma produkt upplevas olika? - En kvantitativ studie om hur presentationen av en atypisk produkt och konsumenters shoppingmål påverkar attityd samt köpintention
This study explores how consumers' attitudes and intentions-to-buy towards an atypical product can be influenced by the presentation of the product and consumers shopping goals. Moreover, another product, which was shown together with the atypical piece, was analyzed in order to investigate context effects. The aim of the study is to provide insights into a rather unexplored subject and help retailers in presenting their assortment in a way which will create a better perception and intention-to-buy towards the assortment. The study was conducted with the help of two studies, the first one aimed to find an atypical item and to see how attitudes could be affected by differences in presentation by comparing it with a typical item within the same category. The second study used the identified atypical piece in order to see the how attitude and intention-to-buy could be altered by presentation and consumer shopping goals.

No other object is in our constant possession such as the mobile phone. The smartphone has been transformed into a worldwide forum for information-rich exchanges between individuals and companies, by which this rapid access to the smartphone has created and continues to create opportunities in terms of communication. Many researchers of today undertake the challenge of studying the smartphone's role as a marketing channel, and the role of the channel is now undoubtedly central in marketing. However, as the importance of marketing communication increases and despite the fact that survey methods are exceedingly dependent on a channel to fulfill its purpose, namely carry out questionnaires, there has been surprisingly little attention to the study of the channel's role and importance when carrying out surveys. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate whether the choice of a communication channel affects the survey outcome and, if so, further investigate how survey methods differ in terms of consumers' attitude and also their perception of their privacy.
Design Perception in Sweden and Turkey: A Comparison of Two Culturally Different Countries
The purpose of current paper is to identify the differences (ifany) between Swedish and Turkish consumers in terms ofproduct design perception and to identify the differences toproduct design in relating the four dimensions / characteristics:1.Aesthetical attractiveness, 2.Functionality, 3.Value and4.Quality.The findings of the study indicate the existence of a universal perception of design. Despite the culturally different countries that are examined the empirical material consistently display similarities between the two countries. Both the quantitative and qualitative data point to a very similar perception in terms of design. The possibilities of global design are discussed for companies as well as managerial implications and future research..
Cause-Related Marketing: En kvalitativ studie i hur Cause-Related Marketing påverkar svenska konsumenter
Cause-Related Marketing (CRM) is a marketing activity that has grown popular in the USA and studies have been carried out that explore how American consumers perceive and react to CRM. In Sweden, however, CRM has not yet found ground to any greater extent, and therefore there is limited research on how Swedish consumers react to CRM and how they perceive it. In this study, eight Swedish consumers are interviewed regarding their perception of CRM. The main findings of the investigation are that Swedish consumers fit well into a model that is based on American consumers? responses to CRM.

Abstract The growth of supra-national organizations, such as the European Union, has been a recent trend in today?s global environment, which has challenged traditional marketing concepts and product cues. One such cue that is significantly challenged is the 'origin cue'. An origin cue is conceived to be a socially constructed notion that consumers use to discern where goods come from and to accordingly evaluate products with. The origin cue is often predominantly materialized in the public sphere by a 'made in' labelling scheme.

Consumer Perceptions of Store Image: A study of Ikea and Ilva in Sweden and Denmark

It is important for every store to have a good financial performance which can be affected by the average purchase and the number of customers in the store. Customers shopping experience can affect both of these factors and therefore it is important for retailers to know about how an in-store environment can affect this experience. The purpose of this study is to give retailers an indication of the importance of consumers' shopping experience and how this may affect the store's financial performance. To study this subject an in-store survey was conducted in four grocery stores in Stockholm where a total of 320 consumers answered a total of 41 questions about their shopping experience. By sales data it was possible to conduct a statistical analysis to see which variables regarding consumers shopping experience influenced the average purchase.

The consumers request high meat quality and security . Many consumers value local produced and ecological meat products but the price is too high.
We have done verbal interviews with consumers on three different shops, where we asked questions and had dialogues around Swedish meat products where the consumers have told us their arguments and opinions about Swedish and foreign meat.
The result shows that the majority of consumers consider that it is important to know that meat is produce in Sweden.
Svenska konsumenters attityd till potatis : möjligheter för potatisbranschen
Until the sixties potatoes have had a unthreatened position at the Swedish dining tables, but
then different alternatives such as rice and pasta have become popular. In 2005 the Swedish
potato-consumption have more than hafted compared with the sixties, we have gone from
circa 90 to 40 kilograms per person and year.
This paper aims to provide those who are involved within the potatoe business
with an overview of the attitude and behaviour towards potatoes that are being held by
Swedish consumers. In order to reach to the conclusion, in- store interviews had been held
with customers in the cities of Stockholm and Malmö. The interviews showed that the typical
potato-consumer prefers to choose and in pick their own potatoes to a bag in the store in
favour of the pre-packed alternatives.
Based on the outcome of the interviews a number of conclusions could be
drawn. The consumers were of the perception that the pre-packed alternatives were too big
for their households.
