ABSTRACT Title: Retargeting- When display advertising builds loyalty Authors: Mikaela Johansson och Anna Svensson Kjällberg Advisor: Thomas Helgesson Level: Bachelor´s in thesis in Marketing, (15 Swedish credits) Spring 2014. Keywords: Retargeting, branding Question: In branding, how should small e-enterprises work with retargeting? Purpose: The purpose with this essay was to identify how retargeting should be used in small e-enterprises when branding. This was done by comparing two e-enterprises practical use of retargeting, with two brand consultants and two retargeting consultants theoretical knowledge within each expertise. Method: A qualitative method with a deductive approach has been used to answer the problem statement. Theoretical framework: Earlier theories about retargeting, brand building and recommended practices, related to marketing on the internet, were presented in the frame of reference. Empirical framework: Primary data were presented by two respondents representing each area: Companies, Retargeting consultants and Brand consultants.Conclusion: The marketing tool allows companies and their brands to get the chance to appear in wide area networks on the internet. The tool is primary used for a sales purpose but the tool also has potential in brand- building purposes.
Personligt Varumärke och Ledarskap : En kvalitativ studie om hur företagsledare använder sig av personligt varumärke i sitt ledarskap
The meaning of being someone and standing for something is getting more important today in the Swedish business market. Our thesis has a qualitative approach that aims to study the usage of personal branding in the upper-management of Swedish organizations. Theories collected from literature and articles include marketing branding, personal branding and leadership. Our main target is to identify components that obtain usage of personal branding which are, attributes and strengths, communication, values, and vision and mission. The empirical data is gathered from six personal interviews with managers.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka hur svenska små- och medelstora företag anpassar sig till de marknadsförhållanden som råder inom Afrikas Bottom-of-the- Pyramid. Studien har följt en kvalitativ forskningsmetod samt tillämpat fallstudie som forskningsstrategi. Detta för att erhålla en djup insyn i företagens agerande och hur de anpassat sig för att vara förmögna att företaga på en marknad vars förutsättningar inte är i närheten av idylliska.Studiens teoretiska utgångspunkt implicerar huvudsakligen Bottom-of-the-Pyramid konceptet, konkurrensstrategi, kooperativ strategi, nätverk, affa?rsrelationer samt de fyra A:na. Vidare redogörs fyra fallföretags upplevelser från BoP-marknaden i empirin; varför valde de denna marknad, vilka möjligheter ser de den besitter, vilka krav har den ställt på dem och hur har anpassningen till denna marknad gått till.I analysen förenas vår teoretiska referensram med det insamlade empiriska data där de ställs gentemot varandra i en diskussion kring i vilken utsträckning teorin stämmer överrens med empirin.

This essay is about the market of traditional rental movie stores, which today are on a mature stage of the marketing cycle. The technique is constantly accelerating and contributes to evaluation of new ways to watch movie. New competitors are such as bigger chain of stores that can offer, in addition to their wide range of other goods, rental movies as a secondary selling. The substitute is of most part Internet based services from where you can watch movie online or download film legally as well as illegally.These different sorts of new competitors or substitutes become a big threat on the traditional rental movie stores as these substitutes can offer the same prices or even lower.With these new ways of watching film this will on turn change the behaviours of the customers that likes to watch movies. The problem for the traditional rental movie stores is trying to keep their existing customers and try keeping them loyal to their store, so that they won?t loose them to the competitors and substitutes.

Commercial strategies are becoming more common in an increasing number of sports - Swedish golf is no exception. Previous research shows that new opportunities for non-profit organizations, to assign parts of their operations to a limited company, do not have any economic importance. The supplementary question arises why more golf clubs nonetheless choose to corporatize its activities? Is the purpose of commercial strategies generally linked to business- or sport-related success? This paper, containing two studies, aims to create an understanding of the underlying drivers of commercialization, and furthermore to quantitatively demonstrate how commercialization is reflected within Swedish golf in terms of strategy and marketing. Swedish golf clubs were categorized as more or less commercial, and examined based on business-related variables such as communications, brand awareness and price discrimination, as well as sports-related variables as success factors and success indicators.

Sales is the foundation for all commercial business and companies that have the best sales process in conjunction with efficient deliveries will do well in the long run. The author of this report was tasked by the Organisation in South Africa to study new/alternative ways of attracting Swedish companies to South Africa and sell the services of the Organisation to these same companies (defined as the sales process in this report) by analysing how similar international service companies do the same. A benchmarking process has been conducted with four similar service organizations in South Africa to examine how these companies work in comparison to the Organization. Surveys have been used for purposes of this study, as the methodology is well suited to provide the author a view on the opinions, perceptions and experiences of the respondents.The project aimed to develop new methods to attract Swedish companies to South Africa or improve and streamline the existing methods. The aim was also to develop new ways to sell the organization's services to Swedish companies.The study concludes that there is little focus on marketing of services within the Organisation.

The economic downturn have had a major impact on today?s business and consumption, practically all industries have been affected. However there exist different opinions about how the luxury market have been influenced, certain experts mean that this segment is recession proof while others believe that this market will experience the worst side-effects. For that reason we find it interesting to analyze the luxury market and develop our own opinion about the impact of the recession.

The participants have been inhabitants of Öland and returning visitors from the Kalmar region.
Standardisering och anpassning - En studie av Volvos marknadsföring i Europa
Syfte: Huvudsyftet med uppsatsen är att redogöra för ett internationellt företags marknadsföringsstrategi på den europeiska marknaden, i det här fallet Volvos, sett ur ett standardiserings- och anpassningsperspektiv. Metod: Vi har genomfört en litteraturstudie för att få en teoretisk grund för arbetet. Därefter utfördes en empirisk studie av Volvo med hjälp av intervjuer med anställda på företaget samt med nyckelpersoner på reklam- och mediabyråer. Vid analysen av Volvos marknadsföring har vi även använt oss av reklamfilmer och annat material från företaget. Resultatet från den empiriska studien sattes i relation till de aktuella teorierna.
Brand Culture : Between consumers and brands
The empirical data that lies behind this survey comes from field work between 1992 and 1995. This field work represents work I made myself as a sales-man for the company, Malmberg Original Water. The task was to implement the Malmberg mineral water brand on the restaurant market of the South-Swedish area. Our aim was to reach the upper-scale, premium market of restaurants. The mission was successfully completed, and at 1996 we had completed the position as the most exclusively positioned mineral water brand in Skåne (Southernmost Sweden).

They are however, partly because of their immaterial nature, separated from traditional merchandise, why the marketing and producing of them differs. Quality errors in a service are often difficult to discover before the service is brought to a customer, since the producing and consuming of it often takes place simultaneously. Quality errors in a service process are called service failures or in Swedish tjänstefel. Nevertheless, with an effective service recovery process, dissatisfied customers can be turned into satisfied ones.
In search for something "real" - consumers' perceptions of authenticity in regional food brands
Marketing research has acknowledged the concept of authenticity. It is argued that consumers in modern society increasingly search for something real, in contrast to what they perceive as mediated and distorted. Producers of regional food brands has acknowledged this trend, and started to market their products as being authentic. Given the potential practical and theoretical contributions in studying the concept of authenticity in this context, this study aims to explore how consumers perceive these claims of authenticity. Therefore, the purpose of this thesis is to extend knowledge on how consumers come to perceive a regional food brand as authentic.
Antikvarisk marknadsföring : Om historiebruk och History Marketing inom ICA
Jag har i denna uppsats intresserat mig för historiebruk inom History Marketing. Uppsatsen har handlat om ICA och materialet har bestått av den historiska webbplatsen ICA-historien (www.ica-historien.se), skapad 2008 av Centrum för Näringslivshistoria på uppdrag av ICA. Frågeställningarna har handlat om hur människor inom ICA framställs, samt vilken typ av historiebruk man kan hitta i ett företag som ICA och hur detta skapas. Undersökningen har gjorts genom textanalys av det material som finns publicerat på webbplatsen. Teorin har kretsat kring att History Marketing fungerar dels genom att stärka självbilden av företaget, dels att det fungerar som en reklamstrategi.

This essay studies how advertisements in various anti-smoking campaigns can influence and persuade by using anti-logos as counter-arguments to the tobacco industry's logos. In contrast to tobacco advertising arguments such as freedom (logos), pleasure (pathos) and trademark (ethos) the anti-smoking campaigns create anti-logos arguments with various connotations such as repulsive pictures and sexual implications to influence groups of people not to start smoking or to quit smoking.Advertisement of tobacco does not exist nowadays due to legal restrictions in the western world; however several decades of myths created in the consumer consciousness still exist. Thus one can speak of a tobacco advertising ideology that exists and the various anti-smoking campaigns trying to change that ideology.The purpose of anti-smoking campaigns is to conduct a kategoria of myth that tobacco advertisement has created over the years. Anti smoking organizations do this by creating a new ideology to affect consumer?s attitude toward smoking and the tobacco myth with an anti-myth.
