In our bachelor thesis we have strived to examine the representation of journalism students in Nicaragua. The freedom of press is much lower compared to Sweden and the journalist profession is protected by a certificate. It is also a high level of corruption within the country. Our investigation concerns who has access to the journalist education and the goal is to compare that with the public in Nicaragua. To be able to examine the representation among the journalism students we have chosen seven different aspects to examine, the sex of the student, witch social class they belong to, their academic background, religion, ethnicity, geographical belonging and political view.

Det har under en längre tid diskuterats i Sverige om att byggbranschen är ineffektiv i sitt byggande. Många företag har därför på senare tid valt att försöka effektivisera sin produktion på olika sätt. Företaget JM är inget undantag utan skulle kunna sägas ligga i framkant i och med sin satsning inom lean construction som på JM heter strukturerad produktion. Lean construction har utvecklas från bilföretaget Toyotas produktionssystem och är ett världskänt begrepp när det gäller effektivisering och minskning av slöserier i företag och organisationer. I denna rapport presenteras en fallstudie av strukturerad produktion där denna satsnings följsamhet i produktionen undersöks.

During the period 2009-2013, investments in the Swedish national grid increase by a factor of ten compared to previous years. In order to fulfil their mission to manage the national grid in a safe, efficient and environmentally sound way, Svenska Kraftnät (Swedish National Grid) needs to take all these perspectives into account while planning new investments. To compare and relate perspectives of technology, economy and environment the same yard stick must be used. That yard stick is commonly money. A problem arises however as environmental issues are difficult to price.The purpose of this master?s degree project was to develop a tool for evaluation of environmental impact related to investments in the Swedish national grid.

The aim of this study was to increase the knowledge about whooper swan (Cygnus cygnus) ecology to enhance the ability to predict and also to prevent the crop damage they cause. The largest proportion of damage in Sweden has been reported at stopover sites during spring migration in February, March and April. Therefore, this study focused on an important stopover site, Lake Tysslingen, situated in south-central Sweden. Specifically, the relation between the duration and period migrating swans stage at the stopover site and mean temperature (measured at three different weather stations) for the years 2001-2010 was studied. Furthermore, the swans´ selection for certain fields in relation to field type, distance to roosting site, a supplemental feeding site and forest edge within agricultural land surrounding the lake was analyzed.

I dagens samhälle är miljöfrågor i allra högsta grad aktuella och därför något som anammats av företag som för några år sedan började miljöredovisa. Dessa redovisningar har som syfte att avspegla verkliga förhållanden. En studie som näringsdepartementet utfört på statliga företag har dock visat att miljöredovisningen inte alltid sammanfaller med det praktiska miljöarbetet. Statliga företag är, till skillnad från privata företag, skyldiga att miljöredovisa enligt lag. Huruvida denna lag medför några egentliga skillnader mellan statliga och privata företags utförande av miljöredovisning är en av flera faktorer som tas upp i denna uppsats.Uppsatsen har som grund att undersöka huruvida miljöredovisningen i de tre valda privata företagen Axfood, H&M och Sandvik är frikopplade från företagens miljöarbete.

Denna studie har syftat till att utforska hur l?rarstudenter beskriver den verksamhetsf?rlagda (VFU) praktiken b?de som undervisningsmoment och praktik, samt l?rarstudenternas beskriv-ning av sina upplevelser av skolan som arbetsplats. Fr?gor som har genomsyrat denna studie ?r ?hur beskriver l?rarstudenter sina erfarenheter av VFU som undervisningsmoment och som praktik?, ?hur beskriver l?rarstudenter sina erfarenheter av skolmilj?n p? sina VFU-platser? samt ?hur f?r?ndras deras syn p? l?raryrket efter praktiken?. Studien har genomf?rts via semi-strukturerade intervjuer med sex l?rarstudenter som har haft sina VFU perioder under ?r 2023.

Miljonprogram is a Swedish building program from 1964 to 1975. During that time about a million homes were constructed. Now, almost 50 years later, they are in desperate need of renovation. In order to fulfil the Swedish environmental objective to decrease energy consumption 50 per cent until 2050, considerable housing stock built under the Miljonprogram has to be renovated.Focus in this thesis is on the building services and theirs profitability that can decrease energy consumption in households build during the Miljonprogram. Building construction is not considered in this report.

Impression of reality deals with the subject of wearing a mask. It is an exploration of the idea that we are all playing different roles, on a stage in front of an audience. The aim was to work conceptually with text, photo and video as a way of exploring a subject. The goal was to create and edit the material so it would be interesting for the visitor at the graduation exhibition. The content was created through experiments based on questions such as the following examples; What is a mask? How can content control form? What is originality? The process resulted in a publication and a video installation with the ambition of highlighting the idea of the world as a theatrical construction.

Ansvarsområdet omfattar dieselmotorer, transmissioner, axlar samt fordonselektronik. I Eskilstuna produceras axlar och transmissioner till dumpers och hjullastare. För att företaget skall kunna vara konkurrenskraftigt i dagens dynamiska situation är det viktigt att ständigt förbättras och skapa förutsättningar för framtida förändringar. Den hårdnande konkurrensen på marknaden medför att tiden mellan nya produktmodeller minskar vilket medför att behovet ökar att på ett snabbt och kostnadseffektivt sätt ta fram prototyper.

This report is intended to give an insight in the Network Performance Assessment Modeland the parameters that is needed in the making of a fictitious grid that represents anoptimal grid. A main goal is to investigate how the construction of a real grid iscompared to the fictitious.One of the key parameters is how redundancy is treated in the model and to find theoptimal amount of redundancy versus the costs. Further is the dimensioning of the grid ofinterest. The fictitious grid is based on energy whereas the real grid often is based onsubscribed power and these two principles are compared and analyzed.The difference in the outcome of the model result due to variations in input data of themodel is also discussed in the report..

ABSTRACT This study is an exam work at the Department of Ecology at the Swedish Agricultural University, Ultuna, Uppsala. The field work was performed in the counties of Uppsala and Västmanland. Grassland areas, exposed to annual mowing, are known to host a variety of rare and red-listed vascular species. The area of these grassland are, however, decreasing in the landscape due to modern farming. The fact that roadside verges maintain regular mowing has proven to be a successful concept for many rare vascular plant species in this habitat. Vascular plants along roadside verges at the State road network were inventoried due to a government mandate during 1995 and 1996. As a result ?Species rich roadsides? were pointed out.

Järnvägsbron vid Årstaberg kommer när den är klar att mäta 1,4 km, här passerar över 550 tåg per dygn. Bron är en del av projektet Citybanan och kommer att fungera som en spårväxel som styr fjärr-, regional- och godståg till den gamla östra Årstabron. Pendeltågen kommer då färdas på bron över Årstaviken och in i den nya järnvägstunneln vid Södra station.Entreprenaden gick från början till danska företaget Pihl och Son som efter en del problem gick i konkurs, underentreprenören Züblin fick då ta över projektet. Med en ny platsledning gjordes en hel del förändringar på arbetsgången och arbetsmomenten. Från 4 veckor per sektion, där en sektion mäter ca 30 meter lyckades Züblin tillslut effektivisera till 2 veckor.

This Master thesis is about a postal- and telegraphic building in Eskilstuna, Sweden. The construction methods for the specific building and buildings in general from the same time are described. The purpose of the report is to describe the loads acting on the building and how it has been built and why it has been rebuilt during the years. After this, possibilities of reconstruction and adaptation for today?s demands can be evaluated.

This is a result of a diploma work in construction engineering. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the nature of the productivity in a given project and how the Skanska productivity tools were used in this project.Interviews were held among workers and management to get some answers on what affected the work and its productivity. The result of the thesis showed that the productivity tools as propulsion analysis and ?goal cards?, were not used to a wide extent in this project. Furthermore there was almost no feedback for the one who made the calculation and the offer for the project, which might affect the results on projects negatively in the future.Within the project there was a lot of waiting time which affected the productivity.
