The implementation of integration policy has in recent times been a major problem for the municipal administrations in Swedish municipalities. The concept of integration is considered to be very diffuse, difficult to apply and implement the following decisions. To understand the concept of integration is the first step, followed by understanding its complexity in an organization.In this study, I focus on studying the implementation of integration policies for integration work with Kalmar Municipality as a case study. I am using Lundquist's implementation theory about understanding, able and willing. The survey consists primarily of interviews but also a certain document to get a perspective on how integration policy has gone into integration work with the hypothesis that it is the understanding that weaknesses of the officials in the implementation of integration policies.

Background: Literature regarding brand identity within the service industry is relatively under developed. As a result one theory is used for both the service and product brands, even though there is a significant difference between a product and a service. As a result of this, the brand identity within the service industry has consequences. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to contribute to the brand identity within the service industry. This is done by focusing on how and why this work is done.

Övervikt och fetma är ett snabbt växande folkhälsoproblem i Sverige, liksom i övriga världen, som ger upphov till bland annat hjärt-kärlsjukdomar och andra negativa fysiska och mentala tillstånd. Enligt den senaste forskningen har magsäcksoperation fastslagits som den mest effektiva metoden för viktminskning vid svår fetma. Syftet med denna studie, som bygger på nio vetenskapliga artiklar, är att belysa på vilket sätt livskvaliteten påverkas hos vuxna individer som genomgått en sådan operation. Resultatet visar att livskvaliteten förbättras, dock inte för alla. Tidigare depression eller ätstörningsbeteende kan i flera fall finnas kvar postoperativt och tenderar då att ge sämre utfall eller inverka negativt på det sammantagna förloppet för individen..

The overall aim with this study was to explore the understanding of how nursing staff - at a service flat in the county of Gävleborg, is related to the residents with intellectual disabilities, with regard to the residents' health. Five personal research interviews were conducted with nursing staff in a sheltered housing. The survey was based on a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews. Five nursing staff aged 27-57 were participated in this investigation. The analysis was conducted, by using a thematic approach.My overall findings show that Nursing staff have different roles to play depending on the situation in their relationship with the residents.

Olika modeller har genom åren tagits fram för att förenkla analys av aktiemarknaden. En relativt ny teknik är så kallade artificiella neuronnät.Dessa modeller har visat sig lovande när det gäller att förutsägaaktiekurser. Projektets syfte är att hitta artificiella neuronnät som ger bra förutsägelser av framtida aktiekurser. Under projektet har ett mjukvarusystemsom genererar och tränar artificiella neuronnät av typen feedforward utvecklats för att kunna testa neuronnät med olika indata, struktur och träningsinställningar. För att komma fram till vilka konfigurationer på neuronnäten som ger bra resultat har näten testats genom simulerad aktiehandel där köp- och säljbeslut grundats på neuronnätens förutsägelser.

This is a case study that explores the ways in which implemented university reforms have affected employees in the higher educational sector. Previous research within the research field has mainly focused on policy related consequences of the reforms. This is why a study that brings attention to the ways the reforms have affected employees is sorely needed.The aim with the study is to examine whether there is a discrepancy between formal changes and the ways the employees experience them. The study is based on interviews with 8 lecturers from two universities and the material is analyzed mainly through sociological neo-institutional theories, such as Richard Scott?s theory of the three pillars within an informal institution and Helmke and Levintskys theory of the relationship between formal and informal institutions.The results show that there is a discrepancy between the formal changes and the ways employees perceive them.

High-precision cutting in metal is very complicated, a lot of parameters affect the result: what geometries to be manufactured, surface roughness and tolerances to be achieved, batch size etcetera. Bakgrund: Den vanligaste tumörsjukdomen hos män är prostatacancer, samtidigt som prostatacancer oftast drabbar äldre män ökar andelen äldre i befolkningen vilket har medfört en ökad incidens. Den vanligaste behandlingen för att bota prostatacancer är operation då prostatakörtel, sädesledare och sädesblåsor opereras bort, radikal prostatektomi. Den mest betydande komplikationen efter detta ingrepp är impotens. Hur impotens efter radikal prostatektomi upplevs är till stor del beroende av sjuksköterskans roll i omvårdnaden. Syfte: Att beskriva vad tidigare studier visat om mäns upplevelser av erektil dysfunktion och dess påverkan på sexualliv och livskvalitet efter genomgången radikal prostatektomi.

SAMMANFATTNINGFör att möjliggöra öppen hjärtkirurgi används hjärt-lungmaskin som leder blodet i en bana utanför kroppen sammankopplat med kroppscirkulationen. Möjliga komplikationer efter kirurgi med stöd av hjärt-lungmaskin kommer från det centrala nervsystemet och kan ge upphov till kognitiva symtom, dessa komplikationer har ökat sedan 70-talet. Kognitiva nedsättningar kan påverka både patientens livskvalitet och sjukvårdens ekonomi. Risker med att opereras med stöd av hjärt-lungmaskin är embolier, hypoperfusion, anestesi och inflammation. Detaljerad information till patienter som ska genomgå hjärtkirurgi gör dem mer förberedda på eventuella komplikationer.

Många främre korsbandsskadade idrottare upplever efter operation en nedsatt tillit till knäet och är rädda för nya skador. Detta kan resultera i försämrad rehabilitering. Det är därför viktigt att kunna identifiera dessa patienter.Syfte:Syftet med den här studien var att klargöra i vilken utsträckning trippelhoppet, cross over-hoppet och sidohoppet avspeglar vilken tillit till knäet den korsbandsopererade patienten upplever 6-12 månader efter operation i samband med återgång till idrott.Metod:Urvalet bestod av 9 kvinnor och 9 män patienter som genomgått främre korsbandsrekonstruktion och som 6-12 månader efter det var på väg tillbaka till idrott. Deltagarna genomförde tre funktionella tester, trippelhoppet, cross over-hoppet och sidohoppet på sitt ickeopererat respektive på sitt opererade ben. Före varje hopptest skattades på en visuell analog skala ( VAS-skala) graden av tillit till knäet inför hoppet och graden av förmåga att ta i efter hoppet.

My essay deals with a problem in our society which, in my opinion, has been neglected. Even today in 2011, the quality of schools and preschools is extremely varied. This has been a problem for a long time and not nearly enough attention has been paid to it.In my essay I have tried to understand what it is that causes these differences in quality between preschools. With help from literature and research studies I have examined what quality in preschool really means.My starting point is an account of my own experience at the preschool where I currently work and a description of a study visit I made to another preschool which operates in a very different way to the one where I work. I wanted to investigate what the consequences are for children who grow up attending preschools of different quality.

During 2007 the City of Stockholm installed five grid connected photovoltaic systems. The aim of this master thesis is to quantify the amount of produced energy and recommend routines to collect and analyse production data, to make production data accessible by the public and to gain experience for future installations.The total amount of produced energy until March 2009 is 227 000 kWh, with an annual rate of 150 000 kWh. The expected annual rate was 148 000 kWh.All system owners are positive about their plants and see economical benefits in scaling up such systems.The installations need very little attendance and maintenance, however it is recommended that an alarm function is installed for automatic feedback in case of a system failure. All future systems should be inspected during full operation to determine if the actual capacity is matching the installed capacity..

Denna rapport skrivs som ett fördjupningsarbete vid polisutbildningen i Umeå. Rapportens huvudsakliga syfte är att belysa hur ett förhör med barn skall genomföras ur polisiär synvinkel för att bli så tillförlitligt som möjligt. Rapporten inriktar sig på förhörssituationer med barn i åldrarna två till sju år och som misstänks ha utsatts för sexuella övergrepp. Genom att studera svensk lagstiftning, utvecklingspsykologi och förhörsmetodik har vi vidareutvecklat en intervjuguide för hur ett barnförhör kan genomföras på bästa sätt. För att fördjupa kunskaperna i praktiskt polisarbete har intervjuer med åklagare och barnutredare gjorts, därefter har det teoretiska underlaget jämförts med resultatet av dessa intervjuer.

This study has it´s beginning in the term corporatization and what the consequences will be for the Swedish athletic club, after the implementation of it. The corporatization among the athletic clubs is a very up-to-date-topic after the ?Riksidrottsförbundets? approved the new law constitution in 1999, that gives the athletic clubs the opportunity to change their legal form. We want to create an image that explains the situation in the two athletic clubs we choose for our study. This image helps us to give examples of how the corporatization will affect them.

Syftet med den här studien var att inventera möjligheterna för kommunala verksamheter inom Skellefteå kommun att stänga av ventilationen vid varningssignalen Viktigt Meddelande till Allmänheten. Inventeringen skedde med hjälp av enkäter som sändes till ett stort antal kommunala verksamheter såsom; förskolor, skolor, äldreboenden, badhus och bibliotek. Resultatet visade att kunskap om alarmsignalen Viktigt meddelande till allmänheten var låg. Några förslag på hur säkerheten kan förbättras, ifall en olycka inträffar, är givna i rapporten. Ett av förslagen som framkommer är att öka kunskapen om hur ventilationen stängs av.
