AbstractIn this study eight caregivers, all with long experience from working in nursing homes for people with dementia, were interviewed.  The aim of the study was to describe the caregiver?s experiences in caring for people with dementia and Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia disorder. Data were processed by qualitative, inductive, content analysis. The results were presented in four categories: To connect, Two days are never the same, Being calm and giving time and All are needed. The result showed that caregivers met a variety of difficult and varied tasks in nursing.

Den här rapporten undersöker distansutbildningar vid Högskolan i Kalmar, på Institutionen för kommunikation och design (IKD). Dels tas det upp hur IKD jobbar med distansstudier idag men även hur distansutbildning fungerar och hur man kan förbättra denna. Anledningen är att distansutbildningar idag är ett utvecklingsområde där det ständigt händer nya saker. Distansutbildning är kanske på väg att revolutionera sättet på vilket vi idag bedriver utbildning, både i grundskolan och upp till högskola/universitet.Uppdraget kommer från lärarna på IKD som känner att de vill förbättra sin situation. Undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av etnografiska studier där undervisning observerades och lärare intervjuades.

Det finns brister i dagens distansutbildningar. Fler distansstudenter avslutar sina studier i förtid än studenter som studerar på vanliga utbildningar. Vanligast idag är att man använder sig av asynkrona utbildningsplattformar. De har flera fördelar som tid till reflektion och ger möjlighet för människor som inte kan träffas samtidigt att kommunicera men de har även visat sig ha flera avgörande brister. Studenterna klagar på brist på kommunikation och att det inte uppstår en känsla av samhörighet.

Att blanda föräldragrupper med inrikes- och utrikesfödda föräldrar kan bidra till social interaktion mellan människor som inte med självklarhet kommer i kontakt med varandra i vardagslivets olika aktiviteter. Det finns ingenting som säger att en föräldrakurs är givande för en utrikesfödd förälder bara för att en inrikesfödd förälder har utvärderat kursen som positiv. Det finns forskning som visar på att det kan vara svårt att arbeta med föräldrastöd när deltagarna har skilda föreställningar om vad en bra familj och förälder bör vara.

The mainpart of this thesis is about the developing of a new analysis tool to be used in Zenicor Medical Systems AB ECG-system. The primary task of the system is to simplify the ECG survey for patients who suffers from different kinds of arrythmias, for example heart fibrillation. With this system is it possible for the patients to do their ECG survey by them self at home and then send the signal with their telephone or mobilphone to a server. The equipment used to do the survey is not bigger than you can have it in a pocket and this results in a bigger flexibility for the patient. The paper evaluates two housing proposals with Space syntax as method. The proposals are very different in a topological sense but are in a configural sense almost the same. This study is based on an examination of students? habits of using the Internet in formal and informal environments. The focus within this study is on what kind of activities students use the Internet for and how and if their teacher connect the students actual usage of the Internet to base the education in school on it. This thesis puts focus on Maria Aarts method "Marte meo" (on one's own strength). With the video camera as a principal tool, the purpose of the method is to be a practical working tool to support developmental processes on specific target groups, for example parents and their children. The aim of the thesis was to describe Swedish Marte meo Therapists and Marte meo Supervisors personal- and working experiences of the method, which was introduced in Sweden year 1991. Central questions were: How does Marte meo Therapists describe the essence of the method, it's establishment, development, and future in Swedish social services and psychotherapeutic treatment work? Which are Marte meo Therapists opinions of the methods relation to general problems and issues within social services and psychotherapeutic treatment work, such as the anchorage of theory and practice and the general claim for more research in social services interventions? In order to achieve the aim of the thesis a qualitative study was performed containing semi structured interviews with three Marte meo Therapists (two of them also titled Marte meo Supervisors).
