This literature review summarizes available data on infection with the parasitic roundworm, Ascaridia galli, as a cause of disease in poultry, including the consequences of a conversion to alternative production systems. Ascaridia galli has a direct life cycle with resistant eggs that survive and are easily spread in the environment, especially in systems with bedding materials where the faecal contact is high. The infection is usually subclinical but depending on the infection dose, the symptoms range from weight loss and diarrhea to mortality. Factors such as the feed composition and genetic variation among different hybrids clearly affect the establishment rate of the infection. Ascaridia galli will probably become an increasing problem, with a shift from the traditional battery cages to alternative systems where the risk of re-infection is high.

This study is about how a swedish brand within the food industry that experiences a crisis following a product failure. It focuses on three areas following the crisis and these are crisis management, recovery strategies and brand management. This study seeks to explain how these areas interact in relation to massive exposure to mass media and how they interact restore the brand's potential loss of reputation. This study was conducted as a case study with a deductive and qualitative approach. The data gathered to this study was mainly based on newspaper articles and complemented with semi-structured interviews with twelve local retailers of the brand..

Syftet med studien är att beskriva och försöka förstå hur en eventuell förändring av identitet/självuppfattning hos personer med hörselskada, som har haft det talade språket som förstaspråk men i vuxen ålder kommer i kontakt med teckenspråket och interagerar med dövkulturen. De karaktäristiska kategorierna som används för att skapa en spridning i närmandet av en beskrivning och förståelse kring mötet med dövkulturen är, kön, ålder och cochlea implantat. Detta för att motsvara den spridning som råder inom den heterogena gruppen hörselskadade. Frågeställningarna som används är: Har kön, ålder och cochlea implantat betydelse för en eventuell förändring kring hur personer med hörselskada samspelar före, under och efter mötet med dövkulturen? och Hur har dessa eventuella förändringar påverkat individens sätt att betrakta sig själv?Resultatet visar att informanterna beskriver hur deras identitet och självuppfattning har förändrats i en positiv riktning under och efter mötet med dövkulturen. Innan mötet med dövkulturen har informanterna betraktat sig som hörande och mötet med dövkulturen har medfört en insikt av hörselskadans konsekvenser.

The aim of this study has been to create an understanding for the situation of an often forgotten group in foster care, the carers? own children. Our main focus has been the experience this group has of foster care, their experience of participation in caring for the foster children and their possible need of support and help. Our chosen method has been qualitative interviews with six adult children of foster carers, two men and four women. The theory used in this study has been Sense of Coherence.Our interviewees gave mainly a positive description of being part of a foster family even though they could give examples of difficult situation and of loss.

Dessa regler är emellertid endast tillämplig på nationella koncerner, dvs. koncerner där samtliga bolag har säte i ett och samma land. Problem uppstår emellertid när de olika dotterbolagen är belägna i olika länder. Denna uppsats behandlar problematiken kring gränsöverskridande förlustutjämningar inom EU.

SAMMANFATTNING Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur svenska ungdomar med cochleaimplantat (CI) identifierar sig själva i förhållande till döva, hörselskadade och hörande. För att uppnå studiens syfte utgår den från följande frågeställningar:? Hur uppfattar ungdomarna sitt CI?? Vilket språk uppfattar CI-bärande ungdomar som sitt första språk?? Hur tror CI-bärande ungdomar att döva, hörselskadade och hörande ser på dem?Studien är en deskriptiv, kvalitativ och fenomenologisk analys för att fånga upp individers egna upplevelser kring CI. Sex ungdomar i åldrarna 16-20 år och som använt CI i några år valdes ut. Ungdomarna gick i teckenspråkiga, hörsel och integrerade klasser.

Body image in women with breastcancerBreast cancer is the second most common form of cancer in Sweden today. To get a breast cancer diagnose can be a traumatic experience for many women. It´s difficult to forsee how these women are going to control their situation. When a breast has to be removed because of cancer, the women has to adjust to changes in both physical and phychological aspects. The aim of this study was to elucidate body image in women with breast cancer after a mastectomy.

Flera av varandra oberoende studier visar att mycket mat slängs och detta görs för det mesta i onödan(Konsumentföreningen, Stockholm, 2009;Blekinge läns tidning, 2008;Engström och Kanyama, 2004). Matsvinn är en stor källa till miljöbelastning från livsmedelssektorn, ett etiskt och inte minst ett ekonomiskt problem (Sonesson och Angervall, 2008). Syftet med den här studien är att ta reda på vilken attityd förskolechefer, pedagoger/personal och föräldrar på förskolor i Uppsala kommun har till matsvinn. Vilken strategi behövs för att minska på matsvinnet? Kan man med enkla medel åtgärda detta eller krävs omfattande förändringar? Vilka lagar och regler gäller?.

Our objective with this study has been to find out if there are any problems that begin in the early part of the project. Problems that, if they aren?t solved directly, can become bigger problems later on in the project.

The purpose of this essay is to evaluate stock index bonds return to risk ratio in order to investigate to which degree an investor in a stock index bond take part of the underlying index return and what the investor must pay for the security of not losing his funds. In order to carry out this evaluation an average return per year and the Sharpe ratio will be calculated and a mean- standard deviation analysis will be made. All investigated stock index bonds are based on a Swedish underlying asset.The results show that the stock index bonds haven?t generated a higher risk adjusted return than its underlying asset. The stock index bonds took part of 57 % of the underlying assets return, and the loss of 10 percentage points per year for the stock index bonds compared to its underlying asset can be seen as the cost for the guarantee a stock index bond gives..

There exist several known methods for calculation of radio coverage for ground-based systems. As far as we know there are no equivalent methods for the case of flying platforms when the altitudes and speeds are significantly different to those of ground-based systems. This thesis describes the theoretical concepts behind calculations of radio coverage for flying platforms. An investigation is made to sort out what is important and possible to employ in a model for simulations. A method is described and implemented in a program for evaluation of flying radio systems.

From this background the aim of this research is todetermine how a development of a design identity is done to implement it to Aqeri.The design identity can be defined as a product?s identity visualized through its formor appearance which defines what the product is.
