En studie om HTML och XML - Blir det en förbättrad struktur i dokumenten med XML jämfört med HTML?
Problemområde: I dag utvecklas nästan alla webbsidor på Internet med
märkspråket HTML. XML är ett nytt märkspråk och används bland annat för att
utveckla webbsidor. Uppsatsen undersöker skillnader mellan de båda märkspråkens
grundläggande dokumentstruktur. Den grundläggande dokumentstrukturen för HTML
är HTML, HEAD och BODY samt för XML är den Prolog, Rot and Epilog.
Hypotes: Uppsatsen baseras på hypotesen -?Vid användning av XML blir det en
förbättrad struktur på informationen i dokumenten?.
Genomförandet: För att undersöka hypotesen har två kriterier definierats och
testats; Märkspråkens struktur och Sökbarheten i märkspråkens struktur.

Ambitionen med mitt arbete var att skapa en vacker och intressant 3d-animation
med den senaste datortekniken. Animationen bygger på redan befintliga skisser,
idéer och material som jag har skapat de senaste två åren och ville avsluta i
mitt kandidatarbete. Med detta arbete ville jag få mer förståelse för
3d-tekniken som ett konstverktyg och lära mig mer om hur man skapar grafik. Jag
ville även öka min estetiska förmåga och kunskap.
Genom att använda mig av grafikprogrammet ?Lightwave 3D? plus diverse andra
applikationer som behandlar datorgrafik har jag skapat min film.

The purpose of this study has been to explore the expectations of the primary school on the activities of the pre-school. In order to limit the study I have chosen to compare the expectations found in two different schools. In the first case, the pre-school is integrated with the after-school centre and grade one to three (primary school), into the same building. In the other case, the pre-school share localities with the after-school centre in a separate building, with its own yard, within the primary school area. Since the purpose is rather comprehensive, it has been divided into sub-themes with separate set of questions.

I have observed five teachers in grade 4 to 6 during a week of their mathematics teaching. Formative assessment is assessment for learning and has the purpose to support students? knowledge development.
Den svenska dataingenjören : En jämförande studie av 10 svenska civilingenjörsprogram inom det datavetenskapliga området
I Sverige erbjuder tio högskolor minst ett civilingenjörsprogram inom det datavetenskapliga området. Namnen på programmen varierar nästan lika mycket som innehållet, och det är lätt att ställa sig frågan: Vad är egentligen en dataingenjör? Detta examensarbete gör ett försök att besvara den frågan genom att kartlägga ett program per lärosäte. Detta görs med avseende på programmets innehåll dels av ämneskunskaper och -färdigheter (disciplinärt innehåll), dels av generella ingenjörsfärdigheter, allmänna förmågor och olika förhållningssätt (ickedisciplinärt innehåll). Det disciplinära innehållet kartläggs och jämförs med hjälp av ACM/IEEE-CS Computer Science Curriculum 2008.
Matematik i förskolan : Barns antalsuppfattning i de tidiga åren
Purpose: The current thesis assignment aims to explain, understand and follow the strategies the young children employ into a conception of numbers. This thesis is based on a study performed by Doverborg and Pramling Samuelson.The following research questions serve to refine the stated goal:How mathematical thinking regarding conception of numbers occurs within younger children and which strategies they use?How is the interaction between the teacher and the younger children?Method: The study is organized as a qualitative study and was conducted in a pre-school with a group of four children. The children that have participated within my study are between two and three years old. They were filmed in four exercises.
Visualisering av Flight Recorder-data i Saab 2000 avionikrigg
The main purpose of a Flight Data Recorder (FDR) is to facilitate the investigation of incidents. In order to interpret the data that has been recorded in the FDR the data has to be visualized in some way. This can be done with software on a computer or with hardware that is specific for the model of aircraft that the data originates from.The aim of this project is to visualize data for six parameters from the FDR of Saab 2000 in an avionics rig. The avionics rig resembles the cockpit of Saab 2000 and the displays in it are identical to the ones found in the plane. All six parameters are shown on the same display.Due to safety regulation vital systems in aircraft are doubled, with one system on the left side and one on the right.
Historielärobokens användning : En studie om gymnasielärares användning av historieläroboken.
The aim of this thesis is to examine how secondary teachers in the subject of history are using the textbook in their teaching. Four questions are being dealt with in this thesis. What importance is being placed on the use of history textbooks by the secondary teachers? What priorities do the secondary teachers have? How do they deal with student interests? And what is the importance of the secondary teachers? work experience? I have interviewed four secondary teachers with different work experience to complete this thesis. A Dictaphone has been used in all the interviews. Research has shown that textbooks now have a central role in teaching and the lack of alternative materials and reduction of teaching hours has made it difficult to replace. The main conclusions of the thesis are that the history textbook has a dual role depending on the teacher you ask, and that the history book is used differently by the teachers.
Fröken Sverige och Magister Tutnäsa : En studie om fyra lärare i barnlitteratur ur ett genusperspektiv
This study has been conducted as a literary analysis of four chapter books for children in the early years of compulsory school: Magister Tutnäsa, Vilken fullträff, Astrakan, Sune och tjejhatarligan, and Alva och Dum-Julia. The aim has been to analyse four teacher characters from a gender perspective. The study has focused on the teachers? personal characteristics and whether these are typically female or male. Another aim has been to study how the character reinforces or runs against stereotyped gender patterns.
Samverkan kring mobbning på högstadiet. Intervjuer med rektor, skolkurator och lärare
The purpose with this essay is to describe how the principal, social worker and the teacher work to prevent bullying at school. The following questions have been discussed:Does the school have an action plan for bullying, and if so, what does it say? Who has the practical responsibility for making sure that the plan is followed, and how does that responsibility work? How is the responsibility divided between the different professions? Are the children in any way active in the planning of the work against bullying? What does the children think about who has the main responsibility for stopping bullying?The method I have used in the essay is individual interviews with principals, welfare officers and teachers from two schools.My results show that the schools have different ways of handling bullying, and different forms of cooperation within the staff. One school have active students in the work against bullying in the form of classmate support (kamratstödjare). The social worker is used in different ways in the work against bullying.
Lust att lära sig läsa : En jämförelse av två olika läsinlärningsmetoder; ljudmetoden och Whole language (kiwimetoden)
AbstractMy purpose with this study was to learn more about different ways to teach children how to read and to investigate how teachers can use more fiction when they teach.During the years that I have been working in school, I have only met teachers who use a method that is built on sounds. The children learns to read from books where the words is not put in their right purpose; for example; we can se a sun, a dear looks down in a lake.After my teacher-education in literature I became more and more interested in if it could be possible to use more fiction when you teach children how to read. I also wondered if it was possible to find readers where the sentences are put in a meaningful story.I heard of a method called Whole Language, or the kiwi-method and I decided to find out more about that method. I decided to make a comparison between the ?sound-method? and the Whole Language-method.I have been using qualitative interviews with both children and teachers with experience from these different ways of teaching.
Speciallärarens yrkesroll : Handledare eller samarbetspartner?
From autumn 2008 Sweden has reinstalled the Special Education Needs teacher education. For future special education teachers and active teachers in the field, it is important to know the history and be aware of future visions to create a good role for the Special Education Needs teachers. This study examines attitudes towards special education and Special Education Needs teachers amongst school principals and classroom teachers at seven schools in Umeå municipality. School principals were interviewed, and a survey was handed out amongst the selected General Education teachers. From this it appears that school principals have a picture of special needs education and Special Education Needs teachers' work that corresponds well with the objectives of the school's governing documents.
Jämförelse av funktionsbibliotek för JavaScript
När de traditionella skrivbordsapplikationerna görs om till webbapplikationer,
ställer det krav på JavaScript som används mer och mer för att få fram ett
responsivt gränssnitt på webben. För att underlätta utvecklingen av
JavaScriptapplikationer har ett antal funktionsbibliotek skapats.
I vår studie undersöker vi därför vilket av de två populäraste
JavaScriptbiblioteken idag, jQuery och Prototype, som presterar bäst i dagens
mest använda webbläsare. Dessa tester har utförts i ett testramverk som vi
själva utvecklat för att vara webbläsaroberoende och inte kräva något av de
bibliotek vi testar. Testerna är uppdelade i fyra testfall som körs 20 gånger
för
att ge ett mer tillförlitligt resultat. Vi har testat hur varje bibliotek
hanterar
traversering och manipulation av DOM-trädet, sätter och hämtar stilar och
attribut på element i DOM-trädet och hanterar event på element i DOM-trädet.
Testerna visade att biblioteket Prototype presterade bättre på alla utom ett
testfall i majoriteten av våra utvalda webbläsare; det enda testfallet där
jQuery
presterade bättre än Prototype var där DOM-trädet skulle manipuleras.
"'Jag tycker såhär och då är det såhär.' Det är inte så." : En kvalitativ intervjustudie om lärares interaktionsstrategier i bemötandet av rasistiska, avvikande och kontroversiella uppfattningar
The purpose of this study is to investigate how six students at a Secondary School describes interaction patterns among teachers when students express in a way that the teacher perceives as racist and/or xenophobic, by presenting a qualitative interview study. The interviews were analyzed by two opposing models of value education: the traditional and the constructive model.The results show that students divide teachers in different categories based on five qualities: 1) they listening, 2) they accept students' opinions, 3) they allow discussion, 4) they are knowledgeable and 5) they can express their own opinions.These qualities are included in the value pedagogical model for deliberative conversations, whose strategies for interaction aim to create an understanding of different rules and values, thereby creating skills of rules by using a democratic approach. In contrast to this model, the rule-based moral education, in which the teacher uses his authority and refers to rules without giving an explanation for why they occurred, as strategies. .

The purpose of this study has been to create a better understading of how face?to?face activities in course´s impacts on the experience of interaction within a course.More specifically, the study puts the student'?s perception of how mandatory face?to?face activities affect and are affected by the interaction in focus. This is done by the following research questions. What affects the student'?s perception of face?to?face activities? Which interaction dimension affects the factors that influence students perception of the activities? Which interaction dimension is influenced by the student'?s perception of the activities?The theoretical base is Wagner'?s (1994) three types of interaction and Andersson´s(2003) theory of interaction dimensions.
