Virtual communities are a phenomenon that is becoming more common as the information technology comes with in reach for the general public. This report will bring the theories and construction of a virtual community together. The purpose of this report is to describe the different theories that have emerged from the research within this field and to examine the work procedures that have been used during the development of a site for a MDA-community. The MDA-website is a homepage on the Internet that was developed to bring the students closer together. The collection of data is often expensive and that?s why the aim is to lower the inventory costs without loosing the accuracy of the data. Holmen Skog has in its strive to lower the costs, decided to evaluate two different methods for forest delineation, computer aided forest delineation and digital stereo view. This study?s purpose is to evaluate these two methods in regard to usability for a beginner and how good the delineation gets.

Dessa datoriserade enheter är mindre än traditionella bordsdatorer och har därmed en annan typ av fysiska begränsningar i form av t.ex.

This investigation is about how teachers in school can motivate and create interest for science among younger children. Teachers were interviewed about attitudes to their subject and how this affects their lessons.I have also tried to find out, both by interviewes but also by studying litterature, what the most important thing is to teach in science, which knowledge is necessarry in the future and why.My result indicates that teachers find science both interesting and important but at the same time they also think it is a difficult subject to teach even if they are educated. Both the litterature and the teachers in my study agree that knowledge in science gives us a chance to ask questions, take stands and solve problems and that this knowledge is important for us in our future..

Detta är rapporten för hur IF Trions hemsida kom till och utvecklades. Från det att iden kläcktes tills det att hemsidan var helt färdigställd. Arbetet bygger mycket på de olika säkerhetsbrister som en hemsida kan ha, till exempel hur lösenord ska hanteras. Med avseende på detta så ingår ett avsnitt i rapporten om de vanligaste säkerhetsproblem som man kan tänkas stöta på under uppbyggnadsfasen och exempel på hur man kan lösa dem. PHP är det programmeringsspråk som IF Trions hemsida är kodat med. För att göra det lättare att välja vilket programmeringsspråk man ska använda sig av när man ska börja koda en hemsida så ingår ett kapitel som tar upp fördelar och nackdelar om PHP och ASP.

Being able to search the internet for persons,restaurants, public transportation and a lot more is very useful to most.

Our project is divided into two parts, one production and written report. The main focus was the production part, were we used PHP to create simple solution for handling SMS and MMS with direct communication with the mobile operator server. We communicate with sockets and can handle CIMD2 and MM7 protocol. To get our components easy to use we have created two classes to handle SMS and MMS. To demonstrate our technical platform we created a website were you can create an account.

I den här rapporten presenterar vi vår argumentation angående datoriseringen av två arbetsuppgifter på Habiliteringen, Karlskrona har inneburit ett understöd av det direkta arbetet med patienter eller av det administrativa arbetet. De anställda anser att den direkta kontakten med patienten är det viktiga, medan dokumentering och det administrativa arbetet är det ?oviktiga?, aspekt som också framgår från vår empiriska undersökning. Det finns en ambivalens med datoriseringen av dessa arbetsuppgifter som vi beskriver i vår uppsats. Å ena sidan stödjer datoriseringen dokumenteringen och det administrativa arbetet, det oviktiga, medan å andra sidan användningen av dataprogrammen har en stor potential i att indirekt understödja huvudarbetet, det direkta arbetet med patienter, vilket är det viktiga. För att belysa de här aspekterna skildrar vi i vilket syfte de anställda använder dataprogrammen, på vilket sätt de använder datorn och dataprogram, och de olika problemen som har uppstått sedan datorn har införts. Vi föreslår ett antal förslag/förbättringar som kan leda till effektivisering av huvudarbetet (arbetet med patienter) och kollateralt av arbetssättet..
