The purpose of this paper is to describe methods to computerize a library and to compare theory with a process in a school library. The case study is based on a school library called Sunnerbogymnasiet which is situated in Ljungby. My questions are;- Which methods are parts of the process to computerize a library?- Which methods are used in the process in Sunnerbogymnasiet?- What does the practical process look like compared to the methods described in theory?In the paper I present the methods in the process according to the studied literature and compare these with a process at Sunnerbogymnasiet. The most significant result is that cooperation between the school library and the community library was the most important reason for the choice of library computer system.

It is common knowledge that our horses do occasionally hurt themselves and cause damage to their bodies. They also manage to do it in the most remarkable ways. The problem is not that they hurt themselves, because everybody does so from time to time. The problem is that they often experience difficulties with the healing of the wounds. The cause to that problem is the fact that they often lose a vast amount of tissue, the wound is more often than not extensively contaminated and the wound is often found a long time after the accident occurred.

This work is an experimental study where knock sensor placements are investigated using engine tests. The aim is to studythe quality of the signal from knock sensors and how the signal for engine control is affected at different sensor locations on Scanias, engine DC13. To find out at witch position on the engine youcan get a usable signal for engine control, the engine is running while the knock sensors with advanced measurement equipment is connected to the engine. Evaluation of signals from the knock sensors are made in the computer program Matlab. The program is producing a seriesof plots, from these plots it is visually possible to draw conclusions and find connections.

Texo Application has created robots that they call for satellites; with these you can feed in storage pallets into a satellite storage. Satellite storages consist of channels in height (e.g.3 to 8 pieces) and width (e.g.3 to 100 pieces). Channels can be different long (e.g. 5 to 200 pallets). At deposit of a storage pallet the truck insert the satellite in a channel and then the pallet, the pallet is driven into the channel until it reaches another pallet or the other end.

Background: The prevalence of dementia increases both in Sweden and in the rest of the world. People with dementia often display some types of behavioral and psychological symptoms. These symptoms include, among other things, aggressiveness, inactivity, activity disturbance, anxiety, hallucinations and depression. The symptoms can create a negative impact of those with dementia, their caregivers and their next of kin. Aim: To describe the effect of non-pharmacological treatments have on the behavioral and psychological symptoms of people with dementia.

This thesis investigates how different Linux-distributions installation interface relate to the ISO 9241 standard, parts 12 and 13, and how they relate to the installation interface of Windows XP, with the hypothesis: "There is a Linux-distribution whose installation interface according to applicable HCIrecommendations is equivalent to that of Windows XP." With the checklists provided by ISO 9241 an empirical study has been made, and so comparable measurements of how well the Linux-distributions and Windows XP follows the recommendations of the standard was obtained. By comparing the results from the tests similarities and differences between the installation interfaces can be deducted. As the result and the conclusion shows there are Linux-distributions whose installation interface, according to the applicable HCI-recommendations, are equivalent to that of Windows XP..

Under det senaste decenniet har svensk lagstiftning ändrats vid två tillfällen som möjliggjort för homosexuella par att gemensamt prövas som adoptivföräldrar och för lesbiska par att få barn med hjälp av assisterad befruktning inom den svenska sjukvården. I anslutning till att lagförslagen lagts fram har Sveriges Psykologförbund fungerat som remissinstans.Syftet med studien är att närmare undersöka och skapa en fördjupad förståelse för Sveriges Psykologförbunds ställningstaganden i frågor som rör homosexuellas familjebildningar. Undersökningen består av nio enskilda intervjuer med personer som funnits i Psykologförbundets ledning under den aktuella tidsperioden. Materialet har analyserats med hjälp av kvalitativ metod inom det diskursanalytiska fältet.Resultatet visar att homosexuella familjer framställs som problematiska med hjälp av två diskurser, vilka i sin tur är relaterade till vilken fråga som behandlas. En diskurs om svårigheter som tillförs familjen utifrån, i form av negativa samhällsattityder till homosexualitet, är retoriskt användbar i argumentation mot homoadoptioner.

Syftet med föreliggande litteraturstudie var att beskriva på vilket sätt licensierade vårdhundar kan fungera som ett komplement i omvårdnaden av barn med autismspektrumtillstånd. Syftet var också att beskriva kvaliteten av artiklarna utifrån den metodologiska aspekten urval. En litteraturstudie med deskriptiv ansats genomfördes utifrån två artiklar med kvalitativ ansats, två artiklar med kvantitativ ansats, fyra artiklar med kvalitativ ansats och kvantitativa mätningar, samt två artiklar med kvantitativ ansats och kvalitativa inslag i form av observationer. De inkluderade artiklarna hade publicerats mellan åren 1989 och 2013. De databaser som användes för artikelsökningen var Academic Search Elite, Cinahl och PubMed med sökorden: Dogs, Child, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Animal-assisted, Service dogs, Autism samt Therapy Dogs.

Bakgrund: Användning av djur i vården har visat sig ge många positiva effekter på människan. Oavsett människors ålder och tillstånd kan djur bidra med att förbättra psykiska, fysiska och sociala funktioner. Bra bemötande, personcentrerat förhållningssätt och goda mellanmänskliga relationer krävs för att kunna ge god omsorg. Närhet och tillhörighet är en del av de grundläggande mänskliga behoven. Livskvalitet handlar om hur individen värderar sitt psykiska, fysiska och sociala välbefinnande och att förbättra livskvalitet kan ofta ses som målet med omvårdnaden.Syfte: Att beskriva hur djurassisterade interventioner påverkar hälsorelaterad livskvalitet hos vårdtagare.Metod: Deduktiv litteraturöversikt genomfördes med nio kvantitativa artiklar.

Uppsatsens syfte a?r dels att identifiera konsumenternas e-handelspreferenser men a?ven att ta reda pa? eventuella skillnader ga?llande anva?ndarpreferenser via smartphone respektive persondator. Uppsatsen identifierar e-handel som ett fenomen som blir allt starkare och som a?r pa? va?g att konkurrera ut den traditionella detaljhandeln. Fo?r att kunna svara pa? va?r problemformulering tar vi hja?lp av olika metoder. Utifra?n va?ra underso?kningar tillsammans med va?ra utvalda metoder har vi kommit fram till att konsumenterna hellre sitter vid en persondator vid konsumtion av en vara.

Tjejer å Tjejer är en dokumentär med ungdomar i åldern 14-17 år som målgrupp. Produktionen har gjorts i samarbete med SVT, Sveriges Television, Växjö. Med filmen vill vi visa unga homosexuella tjejer, eller som de medverkande benämner det flator. Vi vill visa dessa i sina sociala sammanhang. Att vara lesbisk och ung betyder inte att man måste leva annorlunda. För att finna våra karaktärer sökte vi i hela södra Sverige.

Background: Dementia is an umbrella term for a group of diseases that affects the brain and causes cognitive impairment. Animal-assisted Therapy's goal is to meet patients' physical, psychological and social dimensions within the current health care field. To avoid problems like infections and allergy, robotic animals has been developed. The purpose of robotic animals is to induce relaxation and well-being of persons with cognitive impairment for example.Purpose: To compile scientific articles on which effects care dog and robotic animals have on mental and physical health in patients with dementia. Method: A literature review consisting of nine quantitative research articles.

Master thesis studying the use of multimedia on CD-ROM in a library setting by analysis ofqualitative interviews with nineteen persons.The thesis relates the study to some relevant issues in human-computer interface (HCI) researchand to the commercial market for multimedia CD-ROM products. Three main types ofuse were described by the persons interviewed: recreational, information seeking and usingmultimedia to learn more about using computers. Children and young people interviewed mademost use of the multimedia provided, whereas adults thought it to be less valuable as a sourceof knowledge for them personally.HCI research shows various results of using multimedia for educational purposes. Thecommercial market is dominated by American products which can have a negative effect onthe use of multimedia in Swedish public libraries..

This study aims to investigate how and why teachers use social media to reach their students, and how they handle different levels of computer literacy among students.The purpose of this study is to investigate the experience of teachers using social media in their teaching. I have done interviews with two teachers, who use social media in different ways. One of the teachers makes her students publish their work on the Internet on wiki-spaces, and the other one use Facebook for discussions and teamwork. This report uses the pedagogy theories laid forth by Vygotskij as a vantage point to analyze the answers from the teachers. I have also looked at some of the published student texts on the Internet.This study concludes there are students who don?t have access to computers and Internet at home.

När ett nytt system kommer i användning så är det viktigt att följa upp utifall systemet fyller sin funktion och är användbart. Enovation i Karlskrona har utvecklat ett mobilt arbetsordersystem till fastighetsskötarna på fastighetsbolaget Gallionen. Det är det systemet som vi har utvärderat i detta arbete. Anledningarna till att systemet har utvecklats är många. Den viktigaste anledningen är att fastighetsskötarna ska slippa åka fram och tillbaka till receptionen för att hämta nya arbetsordrar och slippa ha med sig en massa papper.
