This study has been carried out in cooperation with Unilever and partly with the EC founded project, Smartdoc IST-2000-28137. In areas of statistics and image processing, both the amount of data and the dimensions are increasing rapidly and an interactive visualization tool that lets the user perform real-time analysis can save valuable time. Real-time cropping and drill-down considerably facilitate the analysis process and yield more accurate decisions. In the Smartdoc project, there has been a request for a component used for smart filtering in multidimensional data sets. As the Smartdoc project aims to develop smart, interactive components to be used on low-end systems, the implementation of the self-organizing map algorithm proposes which dimensions to visualize.

Detta examensarbete har handlar om att ta fram kvalitetssäkringsrutiner för induktiva värmebehandlingsmetoder mot det nya mätlabbet i samband att kvalitetssäkra produktionen av drivaxlar på Volvo Component Division. Uppgiften betyder att visa hur kvalitetssäkringen av både processen och tillverkningen ska ske genom att förebygga att fel uppstår. Huvudsaken är inte hur problemet blir löst, istället kommer koncentration lagts på metoden. Det övergripande syftet med examensarbetet är att försöka hjälpa personalen i företaget komma fram till förslag och konkreta resultat i form av kvalitetssäkringsrutiner för att förbättra både produktionen och den befintliga produktutvecklingsprocessen.Främsta målet är att bygga upp en fungerande kvalitetssäkring av induktiv värmebehandling inom Component Division genom att ta fram kvalitetssäkringsrutiner som stödjer metoden. Dessa rutiner skall bygga på önskemål från kunden, detta framför allt i form av beställningsblanketter, instruktioner och checklistor. Volvo Construction Equipment AB Component Division Eskilstuna arbetar idag med en kontinuerlig process- och produktförbättring med avseende på att förebygga eventuella kvalitetsbristerna. Meningen är att man i samband med den nya utbyggnaden av fabriken, nya maskiner och ny utrustning också ska bygga ett nytt materiallabb där materialprovbitar skall kunna skickas in av operatören/teknikern för olika kvalitetsundersökningar.I dagsläget har man börjat producera drivaxlar enligt den nya flödesgruppen vars förutsättning är att artiklarna skall tillverkas från råämne till monteringsklara detaljer.

We have chosen to focus this paper on the importance of game-components in the MMORPG-game World of Warcraft, in order to discover which of them who are the most important and create the biggest motivation to play the game for the players of World of Warcraft. We made this  investigation because we wanted to find out more about the specific reasons about what people think is especially great with World of Warcraft and makes them want to play it for hour after hour. By doing this we wanted to find out what it is that is so appreciated with this game. But this is a big area and it has therefore been difficult to find a way to satisfy and make those who have answered on our survey to feel that the game-component they enjoy most has been a part of our questions.To solve this problem we did a survey that included 200 persons and two interviews. When both the survey and the interviews had been completed, the result was being compared against each other and together to see if there was any difference between them or if they had any similarity to the attraction and motivation.

Examensarbetets uppdrag är att skapa en bild av dagens situation gällande duglighet vid de två bearbetande verkstäderna TMA och TMG. Vidare ska en analys av duglighetsarbete i dagsläget utföras och en modell för hur arbetet kan ske i framtiden tas fram.Syftet med examensarbetet är att erbjuda berörd personal vid Volvo Construction Equipment AB Component Division i Eskilstuna en modell för arbete med duglighetsstudier och uppföljning så att dugligare processer kan uppnås. Det primära syftet är att skapa rutiner så att man fortsätter arbetet efter ett duglighetsindex beräknats och inte endast konstaterar att resultatet är bra eller dåligt. I efterarbetet ska man försöka koppla bidragande faktorer från ett otillfredsställande utfall till de 4M:en (Maskin, Människa, Metod och Material).På CMP sker självklart ett kontinuerligt kvalitetsarbete då ett av Volvos starka kärnvärden är kvalitet, men trots det ständiga arbetet når man inte alltid de uppsatta kvalitetsmålen. Problem: Från och med januari 2014 är det obligatoriskt för K3-redovisande företag att göra komponentavskrivning på sina anläggningstillgångar. Argumenten kring komponentavskrivningen går isär och frågan är om bristen på vägledning leder till oklar tillämpning och skillnader i redovisningen.Syfte: Uppsatsens syfte har en deskriptiv och normativ form varav det deskriptiva syftet ämnar skapa en bild av aktuella redovisningssituationer för att sedan ställa dem mot den normativa teorin.Referensram: Referensramen består av en allmän referensram där vi redogör för de grundläggande begrepp som berör avskrivningar samt de ekonomiska effekter avskrivningsmetoderna leder till. I den teoretiska referensramen redogör vi först allmänt om redovisningsteori och sedan mer utförligt om den normativa teorin.Metod: Studien består av en kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer. Simuleringar används sedan för att göra jämförelser mellan ett verkligt företags och två fiktiva företag.Empiri: Det empiriska materialet är hämtat ifrån intervjuer med två representanter från ett fastighetsbolag som innehar förvaltningsfastigheter samt material i form av bokslut och företagets avskrivningsplaner över sina komponenter.Slutsats: Olika nyttjandeperioder har visat sig leda till betydelsefulla skillnader i redovisningen. To design new and high tech products the engineers rely more and more on computer based simulations to investigate the properties and behavior for a component or system.To verify these computer based simulations the dynamic properties for the components of the drivetrain needs to be verified. Therefore measurements of the stiffness and vibrations for the rear axle has been performed. This report show how the measurements has been implemented and evaluated, along with some interesting results for the rear axles properties.The static stiffness for the drive shaft along with the axle-gear has been determined. It is found that the stiffness for the whole rear axle is near the stiffness for the drive shaft, which means that the drive shaft becomes the dominant component of the system and affects the rear axle stiffness the most. The measured stiffness of the driveshaft is close to its theoretical stiffness.The stiffness for solely the hypoid-gear have been calculated using the stiffness for the rear axle and driveshaft, and thus has a range for the stiffness of the hypoid gear been determined.The backlash for the whole rear axle and for some individual components has been determined, where the backlash between pinion and crown-wheel has negligible impact on the total backlash.Measurements of the crown-wheel and pinion movements have been conducted, where the direction of movement is consistent with the theoretical direction of the forces.The vibration measurements show that the vibrations are more severe at certain rotational speeds.
