The purpose of my study is to gain insight into how the education system (particularly social studies) is morally-minded based on the governing documents, former students and a textbook. I wanted to find out what morally-minded means and if it has a big role in social studies. Through interviews with former high school students (when my thesis is aimed at high school) I wanted to find out how they felt their social studies were educational and which the values that they had taken on from the lessons. I also chose to analyze a textbook to get a broader understanding of how the morally-minded education is written in specific areas relating to social studies. My study is a qualitative study and what I came up with is that the former students consider their social studies teaching lacked to some degree when it came to the morally-minded education. My investigation concludes that the morally-minded education is important in social studies as the purpose of social studies is to promote active democratic citizens.

När Sovjetunionen anföll Finland 1939 bad Finland Sverige om hjälp. Sveriges regering beslutade att vara icke krigförande d.v.s. inte hjälpa Finland med reguljära styrkor för att hålla Sverige utanför kriget så länge det gick. En svensk frivilligrörelse skapades och totalt värvades drygt 8000 man. Idag åker över tusen svenska frivilliga om året på internationella uppdrag runtom i världen, för att som det har varit hittills, bevara fred.

Denna uppsats har gjorts på uppdrag av Ålands statistik- och utredningsbyrå (ÅSUB) i syfte att förklara och prognostisera de åländska företagens omsättningsutveckling över tiden.I uppsatsen har jag undersökt om en tidigare framtagen modell för att förklara Ålands omsättningsindex kan användas för att förklara olika branschindex på Åland.Jag har även tagit fram två olika modeller på ledande indikatorer från Sverige och Finland med ARIMA-feltermer. De ledande indikatorerna är svenska och finska konsumenters förtroendeindex samt industrins förtroendeindex och svenska OMX 30 börsindex. Modellerna använder olika fördröjningar på dessa fem indikatorer som förklaringsvariabler. Modell 1 använder utvalda fördröjningar och Modell 2 använder glidande medelvärden på fördröjningsintervall.Jag har testat hur bra de två modellerna kan förklara och prognostisera Ålands omsättningsindex och de olika branschindexen. Båda modellerna förklarar Ålands omsättningsindex bra.

This essay is about the Swedish textile heritage but also with an analysis of handmade hemp textiles from Transylvania. Plant fibers such as hemp and flax grown in a soil nature that existed around the subsistence farm. The knowledge of the earth nature combined with textiles has not been specifically studied in the research from the last century. By examining simple folk textiles of hemp shows how the textiles also are an universal field. The focus is on the raw material which is a transformation between nature and culture.With a phenomenological approach, the study will describe how the textile heritage announcement molds a territory in the interpretation of "our" Swedish plantfibres for textiles uses.

Vinterkriget 1939-1940 väckte, hos det svenska folket, starka känslor av samhörighet med Finland och många valde att aktivt ställa upp på de finska bröderna och systrarnas sida. Efter påtryckningar beslutade Sveriges regering att ge tillåtelse att bilda en frivillig militärstyrka och som ett led i detta bildades en frivillig flottilj, F19. F19 deltog i Vinterkriget mellan januari och mars 1940. Denna uppsats undersöker hur flottiljen och dess uppgifter överrensstämde med regeringens politik före, under och efter konflikten. Under Vinterkriget, liksom hela andra världskriget syftade den svenska regeringens politik till att till varje pris undvika att dras in i kriget.

This thesis explores the role of gender perspectives in understanding power and power relations in Iron Age burial practices, focusing on two high-status female graves: Grave X from Tuna in Badelunda (Sweden) and the Vix burial (France). Through a comparative analysis of burial contexts, artefacts, and interpretations, the study examines how androcentric frameworks and contemporary gender norms have influenced archaeological discourse. Employing theories of gender, queer studies, and standpoint feminism, the research highlights the limitations of binary gender categorization and advocates for intersectional approaches. The findings challenge traditional stereotypes of passive female roles, emphasizing instead the active agency and complexity of women?s social identities in prehistoric societies..

Ett teoretiskt delsyfte är att jämföra företagen i uppsatsen med hur småföretagen i Danmark och Finland valde ett år efter revisionspliktens borttagande. Uppsatsens praktiska syfte är att ta reda på vilka delar av revision som har störst alternativt minst betydelse för småföretag samt om ett förväntningsgap existerar.

The relationship between fandoms and religion has become an increasingly popular topic to study within the field of the sociology of religion. In previous studies, there have been different views concerning whether or not fandoms should be regarded as religious from a functional perspective. This issue is especially interesting considering the decreasing popularity of traditional religion in some aspects. The aim of this essay is to study how Harry Potter fandoms are described in previous studies. The study aims at discerning both the empirical data and how the data is interpreted. The material in this study consists of three previous studies about the communities centered around Harry Potter fandoms.

During the years 2006-2010 Gotland University conducted seminars excavations in Västergarn parish on Gotland. Inside the wall a total of six house foundations have been found and a total of 127 combs have been registered. This thesis is based on a material study of the 127 registered medieval combs. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the combs and with their chronology illuminate in which period the society of Västergarn was active. And also to find out what the material remains can tell us about the place and its people.

Förnybara energikällor som vindkraft och solenergi är numera väletablerade energikällor i stora delar av världen. Stor tillväxt av förnybara energikällor vars elproduktion inte kan förutses då den är beroende av vädret gör energilagring till en viktig komponent inom elsystem. Under starka vindar kan ett vindkraftverk överproducera el. Det innebär att kraftverket producerar mer el än vad som går att sälja på elmarknaden och man tvingas ge bort elen. Under andra perioder då det nästan inte blåser alls kan elpriserna stiga enormt eftersom det blir brist på el.

This thesis analyses the decoration on the pots of the Pitted Ware Culture on Gotland. The pottery from this period is richly decorated with various ornaments, the most common are the pits but other types of decoration occur. The purpose of this study is to get an insight into what the patterns meant to the people that made and used them and what role these may have played in their lives. The author will analyse the decoration on potsherds found from the three Pitted Ware sites of Visby, Ajvide and Hemmor on Gotland. This will be used in a comparative analysis to investigate if differences and/or similarities of the pattern occur between and among the sites.

Syfte: Uppsatsens syfte är att kartlägga och analysera gränshandeln av burköl mellan länderna Danmark, Estland, Finland, Norge, Sverige och Tyskland. Vi ska dessutom försöka förutse en framtida utveckling i Danmark, Finland, Norge och Sverige. Metod: Uppsatsen bygger på en kvalitativ fallstudie med ett hypotetiskt-deduktivt angreppssätt. Vi tar stöd hos existerande teorier inom scenarioplanering, priselasticitet och Kotler´s adaptionsprocess. Som ett komplement till teorin redogörs för de inblandade ländernas alkoholpolitik, från historisk synvinkel till idag.

The main aim in this Master thesis is to analyse how an ideological view may have influenced the shape of hierarchies with a specific concentration on the concept of fiction genre in the latest versions of the systems SAB and DDC. Our thesis is that no theoretical classification scheme can be recognized as objective. With an ideological/institutional perspective we look at the structures behind these systems. As a vehicle we use the hermeneutic circle to show the play between part and unit by focusing and analysing three different levels: the content level the concept level the ideological level. The first level is in the shape of a historical background and an analysis of concept with focus on content.

The purpose of this study is to assess the state of health of the individuals living in Löddeköpinge during the middle ages, whose remains were excavated by Chintio, H., 1975-80. The location is thought to have been a trading community that ceased to flourish towards the end of the Viking age. The main focus of the essay is to examine the occurrence of osteoarthritis (sv. artros), trauma, and analysis of stature, in order to understand population health during this time period. Osteoarthritis has never been researched in Löddeköpinge and the analysis showed that, of the 60 skeletons examined, 68,3% demonstrated some change in the skeletal joints, which is much higher than in the comparative material obtained from Lund and Sigtuna.

What results do studies conducted at healthy adults using Motivational Interviewing with physical activity as an outcome present?MethodTo fulfil the aim of the study we chose a review process. During the research two data-bases were used, PUBMED and CSA. Studies including participants under the age of 18 or studies where the participants suffered from diseases were excluded.
