In today?s school in Sweden the assignment of community encompasses mediated values and education of democracy as well of single subject matters. What does it mean then, that teachers have a certain kind of idea of democracy, and what implications may biology have for the assignment of community? In upper secondary school there are quite many courses in biology with a national curriculum, and findings show that students of teaching perceive or think of biology as helping to promote the dual-purpose of teaching. In this study, the author of the paper has interviewed four future teachers of upper secondary school with biology as one of their main subjects.

AbstractThe purpose of the study was to examine if manual signs used as support to spoken and written language can be a god mnemonic for learning of word-pictures. I performed my study as an experiment in which I made a Memory game with word-pictures. I played the game with the children twice. The first time, we played without manual signs and the second time I used sign as a support. I observed the children and noted the words they learned to read with and without the support of manual signs.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze and map out the cyber culture of the Internet and its all users, identity, design theories and services. How people communicate and how they build up their identities are some of the baselines. I will also discuss the important aspects of Interaction design and how this can be used in a Community for digital storytelling. The Internet, or new media, was founded in the 60?s by some great philosophers (McLuhan, Rheingold, Lambert and more). With influence from their books I will discuss and analyze what kind of media the Internet is and how it can be seen as extensions to our senses, as McLuhan claims.

The purpose of this study was to survey the occurrence of and obstacles to team training inneonatal life support in Swedish hospitals and, accordingly, to compare university hospitalswith other hospitals. The study included all the managers in 37 pediatric wards whoparticipated in telephone interviews with the aid of a questionnaire. The results showed that81 % of the Swedish hospitals that have a paediatric ward train the staff in neonatal lifesupport. All of the university hospitals and 74 % of the other hospitals are running training insome form. The methods of training varied and so did the occurrence of training.

This is a qualitative study based on five semi-structured interviews in Sweden. The aim of the study is to explore what experiences non-monogamous people have of dating and the social support surrounding them. The study investigates what effects norms and normative structures have on non-monogamous dating. This is done through a thematic analysis with queer theory, and the underlying theoretical concepts performativity, heteronormativity, mononormativity, relationship escalator and queer temporalities. To help analyze the social support, we have used Bourdieu's (1986) theory about social capital.

Many studies in the field of International Business describe unsuccessful foreign assignments and the importance of intercultural support regarding expatriation. The main purpose of this essay is to study ideas concerning the concept of ?art? within the discourse of the exhibition space that is part of a fanart community. In order to do so I have used a hermeneutical and to some extent structuralistic, discourse analysis. I have examined structure and rhetorics in two established and popular communities, Fanart-Central and deviantART.My conclusions states that personal ideas regarding artistic value are undermined the joint policies, because of a collective rhetoric somewhat inherent in the community structure.When a lot of works are being based on internal knowledge of symbolics and historical narratives, this may to some extent have consequences where unfamiliar observers might fail to notice elements of possible significance. Moreover, certain interests in keeping a united front of ?quality art? may also affect a general idea immediate to what signifies fanart.

Background: One of the healthcare tasks is to inform and support patients. Information and support is very important for the management of the disease in patients with psoriasis. Healthcare often focuses on the medical aspects and can easily forget about the individual behind the disease.Aim: To explore what kind of information and support patients with psoriasis receive and need to manage their skin disease.Method: Quantitative study with descriptive design and qualitative elements by analysis of the questionnaire with open questions. The study included 22 participants.Findings: The majority of participants responded that they had received information about various therapies, medications and generally about psoriasis. The information participants most often responded they needed, was essentially continuous information and updates on treatments and knowledge about psoriasis according to medical science.
