Computer based information systems play an important role in modern military combat vehicles. The crew needs to be able to quickly get information about both the vehicle and its outer surroundings in order to quickly make the correct decisions. In this report, we describe the development of a prototype new information system for the BvS10 vehicle, manufactured by BAE System Hägglunds AB in Örnsköldsvik.An important aspect of the system is the time it takes from the point that the information is generated by the vehicle sensors until it is presented to the user. The system must be able to ensure that it never displays information that is out of date. Thus, it is important to create a layer and component based architecture for the solution, making it possible to control, in detail, the information?s age as it moves through the system.

AbstraktSyfte: Att beskriva den information om anhörigstöd som presenteras på hemsidor ikommuner i norra Sverige.Bakgrund: Äldre personer bor kvar hemma längre och behöver i större utsträckninghjälp av sina anhöriga. Anhöriga behöver ofta stöd för att klara denna uppgift.Kommunerna har en skyldighet att erbjuda anhörigstöd, men kan ha svårt att nå ut medsin information om vilket stöd de har att erbjuda.Metod: En dokumentanalys med kvalitativ och kvantitativ ansats. Information omanhörigstöd inhämtades från alla Norrlands 54 kommuners hemsidor. Innehålletanalyserades genom manifest kvalitativ analys och kvantitativ analys för jämförelsermellan kommunerna.Resultat: Studien visade att 96 % av kommunerna har information om anhörigstöd påsina hemsidor. Informationen varierade mellan kommunerna.

The purpose of this study is to determine if and how male or female everyday languagesdiffer. The study is based on ten interviews with five men and five women living inHalmstad, who are between the ages of 22-29. The interview results were analyzed andcompared with previous research on the subject. The result shows that there is adifference between the male and female informants use of language. Women laughing,using italics, hedges, the word så ?so? and response signals to a greater degree than men.The reason may be that men and women basically use different conversation styleswhen they communicate, that men prefer a public speech, intended to provideinformation and knowledge.

In this degree project I have studied how an anti-discrimination bureau can adapttheir online information to the target group ? immigrants who only have modestunderstanding of the Swedish language. This group is often subject of discriminationmatters, and therefore it?s important that they can take part of the information.To find answers to my questions I have studied different relevant theories, performeda readability analysis on the online information and have had qualitativeinterviews with representatives from the target group. I have also tested my rewrittentexts on both representatives and other readers.The result from my studies has shown that it is words that are the most difficult inthe current online information, while length and structure of the sentences are alsoof importance when it comes to the readability.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att identifiera vilken ekonomisk information som en företagsledning i ett större tillverkande företag förmedlar, samt verifiera om detta stämmer överens med vad produktionspersonalen har vetskap om. Vi ämnar även undersöka vad som inverkar på produktionspersonalens vetskap om denna information. Slutsatser: Vad ledningen vill föra ut för ekonomisk information och vad produktionspersonalen har vetskap om stämmer generellt inte överens. De respondenter som har störst vetskap om den ekonomiska informationen är mer engagerade, känner större samhörighet i gruppen och är mer insatta i företagets ekonomiska situation. Gemensamt för dessa är att de alla har kontinuerliga och täta möten med roterande ansvar för att hålla i dessa samt tillgång till väl uppdaterade anslagstavlor..

The Airsoft Community always search for realism and optimal performance.When the performance and/or the realism in your AEG1 aren?t enough you turn to modifications toimprove the weapon. But to manufacture such modifications isn?t that easy, hence you turn tocompanies that are specialized in creating such devices.The goal with this project is to create a prototype of a modification called ?Programmable MOSFET?and targets optimization of the electrical components within the AEG. This means that you digitalizethe control of your AEG thus entails new functions and more stability to the system that isn?t possiblewith its mechanical predecessor.A prototype has been manufactured and programmed with functions according to requirementspecificationsthen it was tested on an airsoft-gearbox with rewarding results.

This Master?s thesis concerns the information behaviour of pastors in nonconformist churches (especially new evangelical and Baptist church communions) in Sweden in their spiritual service to the local parish. The thesis also looks into how the information flow functions in the pastors? context and why the information need appears as it does. The theory used in this study is contextual analysis based on Buckland?s, Weber?s and Patrick Wilson?s theories on authority and power structures.

The aim of this master?s thesis is in part to investigate how pupils act and experience their information seeking in connection with a school task, and in part to identify which factors influence the information process. The essay?s theoretical framework is based upon Carol C. Kuhlthau?s model of the process of information seeking where actions, thoughts and feelings are regarded as integrated parts.

This study is commissioned by the Swedish University of Agricultural Science (SLU - Department of Forest Resource Management) in coorporation with Sveaskog and Vilhelmina Norra Sami reindeer herding community. The purpose of this study is to analyse movement patterns and habitat use of reindeers during two winter seasons (2005/2006 and 2006/2007) in areas affected by forestry activities such as clearcutting. This study examines the possibilities of analysing information from Reindeer husbandry plans and forest variable data from kNN and SMD, in relation to GPS collar points from reindeers by using Geographical Information System (GIS). Lack of knowledge and understanding between the reindeer industry and the timber industry has often led to heated debates. The possibilities of using this type of technique are very interesting and could increase knowledge concerning land-use issues to different resource users. The main results from analyses comparing SMD, kNN, data about clearcuts, and GPS collar points from reindeers indicates that clearcut areas, younger forest, coniferous forest on lichen-dominated areas and areas dominated by pine was preferred by reindeers during the winter period.

?Fan fiction writing?, or the writing of stories based upon a popular entertainment franchise, has become a topic of academic discussion. Fan fiction writers have waked the ire of movie producers, since they often write fiction that is in direct contradiction to the movie?s plot or spirit. While most academic studies on fan fiction have concentrated on his confrontational aspect of the writers? psyches, we have found that the writers actually have a much more nuanced approach to their work, and are not necessarily hostile towards the directors and producers.

Information till patienten är en betydelsefull del av sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsarbete. En viktig uppgift är att hos patienter identifiera hindrande och främjande faktorer för möjligheten att ta till sig information. Studiens syfte var att beskriva sjuksköterskors uppfattningar av hur patienter har erfarit given information samt sjuksköterskors uppfattningar av vad som påverkar patienter i informationssituationen. Tio sjuksköterskor intervjuades och materialet analyserades utifrån en fenomenografisk ansats. I resultatet framkom beskrivningskategorierna tar till sig, tar inte till sig och uppfattar inte.

In this essay, I interview six users from the website darkside.se, which is an internet community for BDSM practitioners. I?m using Judith Butlers theorys about performativity and heteronormativity, Gayle Rubins model the charmed circle; of which sexualities is regarded as approved and which is not, and Fanny Ambjörnssons explenation of queer theory. With the interviews as my material, I investigate how sex and gender is produced and used in BDSM and at Darkside. I discuss trans, heteronormativity, sexism and hierarchies of power related to sex and gender, in BDSM and at Darkside.

In this work we study how the information provision should be organised in a new smaller size Swedish university college in a town without previous academic traditions. Specifically, our aim is to propose a possible model for information provision in Campus Helsingborg which is currently under construction. The study consists of two parts: literature review and empirical investigation. In the literature review we summarise a selection of articles about traditional and untraditional practically realised ways of information provision in nineties. The empirical investigation consists of 19 interviews with students, teachers and librarians from Kalmar, Halmstad and Helsingborg.

Patientinformation är en viktig del i sjuksköterskans dagliga arbete. Det är av betydelse att ge lämplig och förståelig information inför en undersökning, allt för att få en lugn och förberedd patient. Det är viktigt att kunna anpassa informationen till varje patients behov. Syftet var att lyfta fram patienters upplevelser av information av vårdpersonal inför en koloskopiundersökning. Frågeställningar; Hur upplever patienten informationen som ges innan en koloskopiundersökning? Vad önskar patienten att få för information innan en koloskopiundersökning? Metoden utgick ifrån analys av materialet med en fenomenografisk ansats för att ta reda på skilda upplevelser av ett fenomen.
