This essay is called Imaginary non-community, How Swedish press portrayed the fight for freedom in Tunisia and Hungary 1955 and 1956 and it describes how two similar struggles for freedom are portrayed through the eyes of the most popular Swedish news papers Dagens Nyheter, Aftonbladet and Expressen. In 1955-56 Sweden is a country where the focus lies within the nation itself with economic growth and the building of folkhemmet. The Swedish social program for a more improved living condition. Outside of Sweden the cold war is reigning and the Swedish international politics is careful and passive. The fear of communism makes Sweden side with the western powers and therefore they (Swedish politicians and news papers) do not object to the French military effort to strike down the rebellions by force in North Africa.

The Regional State Archive in Uppsala [Landsarkivet i Uppsala] has several archives left from various types of educational institutions in the counties of Dalarna, Södermanland, Uppsala, Västmanland and Örebro. This archiv-al guide reveals the main content of some of the school archives. It goes through the archives of the elementary school, state secondary grammar schools and private secondary grammar schools. A few special schools for the blind and the deaf children are included. The essay also brings up records from community homes and reformato-ries for children and young adults who experienced certain difficulties and therefore could not adjust to the ordi-nary educational system.

Uppsatsens syfte är att pröva tesen att Radiosportens sändningar har blivit mer jämställda mellan 1995 och 2007. Det som undersökts är utrymmet som kvinnor och kvinnligt idrottsutövande får i sändningarna i förhållande till män och manligt idrottsutövande. Metoden att besvara frågan är kvantitativ. Radierade sekunder har räknats och fördelats mellan kategorierna kvinnliga och manliga röster och kvinnligt och manligt idrottsutövande. Kriterierna för jämställdhet är att de kvinnliga rösterna är proportionerligt representerade och att kvinnligt idrottsutövande får ett proportionerligt utrymme i Radiosportens sändningar. Undersökningens resultat visar att Radiosporten har blivit mer jämställd under  undersökningsperioden, men att det inte går att säga att ökningen är stabil från år till år. Resultaten visar också att kvinnor och kvinnligt idrottsutövande inte får utrymme i nivå med andelen kvinnor eller omfattningen av kvinnligt idrottsutövande generellt..

The proportion of overweight children is increasing rapidly in Sweden. International and National goals of public health aim to improve diet and physical activity. Health promotion consists of preventing illness and promoting health. Within the school a well planned health promoting work proceed from students, parents and teachers. The aim of this study was to investigate knowledge, attitudes and behaviour pertaining to diet and physical activity among students from 6th to 9th grade at Klågerupskolan in the community of Svedala.

The main purpose of this essay is to investigate professional artists experience of the need and use of information in their creative work. I have collected the material through qualitative interviews with four professional artist working with different materials and techniques. One of the results of the study is that the artists first of all used information as a source of inspiration in their creative work. They gathered their information from various scources, for example; pictures, exhibitions, visual arts, books and novells, depending on what project they are working with. Other important information scources were colleges, especially for the technical information need.

The main purpose of this study is to get an increased knowledge of the content on the Swedish website lektion.se. The study wants to find out if the content can relate to the syllabus for Swedish and the sociocultural view of learning. The questions it aims to answer are how the content of lessons in Swedish in grade 1-5 is related to the syllabus for Swedish and the sociocultural view of learning. This has been a study of text from lessons taken from the website. The study has been made with support from qualitative and quantitative analysis of text.

Vilket motiv och vilken metod som används för att bevara ekosystem, växt- och djurarter har skiftat under olika epoker. Idag skyddas naturreservaten genom mer eller mindre lyckade metoder, och för att lyckas behövs olika faktorer uppfyllas. I skogsreservatet Thuma i Malawi arbetar en ickestatlig organisation med att bedriva ett naturvårdsprojekt med syfte att rehabilitera områdets ekosystem. Fokusen, i denna deskriptiva studie har varit huruvida den historiska utvecklingen inom naturvården, från stängsel och utestängande till involverande och deltagande, mot Community-based conservation, har fått genomslag i naturvårdsförvaltandet av Thuma samt hur dessa strategier påverkar befolkningen runt reservatet. Genom observationer och intervjuer med bland annat by-överhuvuden, reservatarbetare och företrädare för förvaltarorganisationen har situationen i och kring reservatet kunnat kartläggas.

The society has always tried to get rid of those who do not "fit in". They doesn't follow the normal behaviour and rules and have to be "dismissed". The community has developed different kinds of institutional care for individuals with dysfunctional behaviour. Those institutions are mental hospitals and prisons. Many of these institutions put the individuals in an extreme situation since they loses their independence and freedom.

This paper aims to broaden the discussion on how press freedom can be a powerful tool in the war on corruption. Previous studies have shown a significant relationship between more press freedom and less corruption, it also shows that the causal link runs from press freedom to corruption and not the other way around. There are quite a few studies on the impact of a free press on corruption and therefore there is a lot more to be published on this issue.This paper looks at press freedom as one of the most important parts of a democratic society and that it plays a vital role in reducing corruption as both an informant on key issues and also as a ?watchdog? on society. But press freedom cannot be seen as an ?easy fix? in a country or the international community's struggle to reduce corruption.

Detta examensarbete riktar in sig på arbetet och utvecklandet av en websida anpassat för onlinespelare. Websidan är gjord i Ruby on Rails, ett ramverk som baserar sig på programmeringsspråket Ruby. Det har en egenskap som grundar sig i att upprepning av programmeringskod inte skall behöva förekomma, detta för att underlätta arbetsflödet samt reducera problemen som ofta uppstår med för mycket kod Denna egenskap var något av det som inspirerade mig att fortsätta arbeta med ramverket, då jag använt mig av det innan, och på så sätt utveckla mina kunskaper i det. Min idé av att sammanställa en webbapplikation i ramverket kändes som den vettigaste formen att testa mina kunskaper genom, samt att göra något som jag kände saknades på webben ? en optimal sida för grupper av onlinespelare att träff as och diskutera i forum. Denna reflektion innehåller alltså min tankegång, min frågeställning, mitt arbetssätt, problem jag har stött på, lösningar på problemen och tidsplanering relaterat till detta ? mitt examensarbete för Webbproduktion på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola. There are shortcomings when it comes to recent studies by a Roma perspective on Roma culture and traditions. The purpose of this paper is to understand how the Roma present themselves in eight articles with an emphasis on culture, language and identity. The questions are as follows:First, how the Roma articles manufactures the Roma culture and what do these articles say about culture, identity and language from a Roma perspective? Second, how can the Roma preserve and develop their culture and be a part of Swedish society in accordance with Articles?Some of the findings are that the Roma language, Roma clothing and Roma music is part of the Roma culture. Similarly, social codes and traditions such as International Roma Day, which is a Romani celebration.

Further we discuss the features we have created for our community, Stickling, to make any visitor to perceive it as credible..

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to examine the activity at the library and preschool at Kristineberg (a part of the town of Borås) and its underlying approach. How do the activities agree with the ideological attitudes of the 1970s? To answer these questions I have carried out a case study based on qualitative interviews. The theoretical background includes ideas of the library, the community center and the cultural activity at the library.

The way society categorize different people into groups is problematic in the sense that the categorization can seem stigmatizing and have social consequences for those being categorized. Immigrants are one of those problematic categories.The following essay studies this categorization of ?immigrants? based on a governmental investigation of structural discrimination that took place in 2002-2008. The aim is to study the use of the category ?immigrant? and the consequences that follows such a categorization.
