The purpose of this study is to show how the modern society, with demands, expectations and the time constraints of adults, affects children and the everyday life at the preschool. Our intention is also to show the importance of identify stress symptoms of the children.        The study is of qualitative empirical kind and is based on a questionnaire to 19 parents of preschool children at the age of three to five years old. Interviews are made with four preschool teachers on one preschool. An observation of children in possible stressful situations is made during three days each at two preschools.     The results show that the modern society affects children and can be stressful. It also affects the everyday life at the preschool.

The purpose of this study is to discover and explain the influences of media coverage of organizational crises on crisis communication, and vice versa. The study also shows how mediated crises develop, and how media framing and news sources affect this development.Carried out as a case study of three Swedish mediated crises, the methods used are quantitative and qualitative content analysis of media content from four Swedish newspapers and four organizations' press releases from the studied crises.Mediated crises develop through their specific pattern regardless of, but not independent from, the organizations' crisis communication. The crisis communication is used as an elite source in media reporting from the crises, but it can not control the mediated crises. However, it influences framing, and the possibilities to influence media reporting are better in the pre-crisis phase and the culmination..

To be seen is essential. Presently, the marketing of different well-known brands within the same product category is done with little variation. To marketing professionals, this creates an opportunity to market products in an unexpected way. The use of incongruent market communication and by creating a discrepancy between a well-known brand?s advertisement and brand scheme, which is already established in customers? minds, is one way to be different.

When being in preschool, I have come across children who I have had difficulties to really meet, and I have felt that the communication between me and the child has been deficient. Since I believe that the meeting of child and pedagogue is essential to learning and development, I find this an important subject of further study.The purpose of my study is to investigate if, and how, teachers regard a possible connection between language capability and behaviour. Furthermore I investigate how they work with language acquisition and communication, and what argument the pedagogues have for this work.To answer these questions I have interviewed two pedagogues who have great knowledge and experience of this subject, and also have special interest in children?s language and communication.In my literary review I give an account of how language acquisition is described in literature, and then compare it with how language impairment reveals. I also describe earlier research on how to work with language development, and what the national curriculum for preschools (Lpfö 98) say on this topic.The result shows that my informants divide in their view of how to connect language capability to behaviour.

Syftet med denna studie är att med kvalitativ metod undersöka hur skolfaktorer påverkar till upplevelsen av stress hos stressade kvinnliga gymnasieelever samt hur dessa elever återhämtar sig från stressfyllda situationer. Åtta intervjuer analyserades med hermeneutisk ansats. Tolkningen av intervjuerna visar att det inte är enskilda skolfaktorer som stressar denna grupp av kvinnliga gymnasieelever, utan att det framförallt är brist i elevernas prioritering och strukturering av skolarbete som leder till stressfyllda situationer. Dessutom visar studien att denna grupp av elever sover fem ? sex timmar per natt, vilket kan vara en bidragande orsak till svårigheter för eleverna att bemästra stressfyllda situationer.

På en veterinärklinik finns många situationer, föremål och händelser som kan upplevas somstressande för ett djur. Normalt är stress en livsviktig försvarsmekanism men för ett djursvistelse på kliniken kan det medföra många nackdelar som exempelvis att försämra läkningsprocesseroch tillfrisknande samt påverka djurens mentala välbefinnande. Stressreaktioner ärså lättframkallade att enbart den psykiska stressen och oron i en klinisk situation kan varatillräcklig för att skapa fysiska förändringar som exempelvis ökat blodtryck. De fysiologiskaförändringarna som orsakas av stress är i sin tur så starka att de kan resultera i att patienterriskerar att feldiagnostiseras då flera kliniska mätvärden påverkas.Orsakerna till att djur upplever olika mycket stress på veterinärkliniken kan bland annat beropå artskillnader, individskillnader, djurets aktuella status, besökets karaktär och tidigareerfarenheter. Genom att vidta relativt enkla åtgärder som att exempelvis försöka hålla hundaroch katter separerade från varandra på kliniken, hantera djuren lugnt och försiktigt, arbetaeffektivt och utforma vårdburarna på rätt sätt kan djurens stress i många fall reducerasbetydligt.

 Denna uppsats belyser problematik som personal inom vård och omsorg upplever till följd av kravfyllda arbetsmiljöer. Den tidigare forskningen belyser arbetsrelaterad stress med utgångspunkt i vårdpersonalens bristande kontroll, stora engagemang och viktiga roll som förebilder. Utifrån detta perspektiv fokuserar uppsatsen på betydelsen av krav, kontroll, socialt stöd samt relationen mellan prestation och belöning i relation till upplevelsen av arbetsrelaterad stress. Den enkätundersökning som genomfördes i ett privat vårdföretag (n=11) visar att det finns ett samband mellan arbetsrelaterad stress och upplevelsen av kontroll respektive socialt stöd. Resultatens tillförlitlighet diskuteras i termer av genomförandet av enkätundersökningen och nyttan med densamma utifrån den låga svarsfrekvensen.

Befintliga självskattningsinstrument avseende mätning av stress är ofta teoretiska konstruktioner och sällan baserade på empiriska undersökningar av människors faktiska upplevelser. Instrumenten är i allmänhet validerade genom tvärsnittsstudier mot liknande skalor eller tangerande dimensioner som t ex ångest. Syftet med denna studie är att utifrån människors beskrivningar av stressupplevelsen utveckla ett nytt självskattningsinstrument för upplevd stress. Studien är indelad i tre delar. Den första delen är en intervjustudie (16 personer med blandande bakgrunder) där de ord och uttryck som används för att beskriva upplevelsen av stress tematiskt analyseras.

After the appointment of a new European Commission in 2004, ?communication? was made a top priority on the agenda. The Commission presented a new communication policy, which would establish a dialogue with the citizens, thereby bringing more democracy to the union and bridging the gap to the citizens. Three documents containing the policy were published, namely an internal action plan for the Commission, Plan D which establishes the framework for national debates and a whitepaper on EU communication policy. These documents were met by mistrust and criticism from many different actors such as journalists and experts.The aim of this master thesis is to examine this new communication policy from a deliberative democratic perspective.

AbstractPurpose/Aim: The aim of this essay is to examine the democratic potential of Forum Games.The main focus of the essay is if working with forum games can help the participators to better communicate their thoughts and ideas and through this take better part in a democratic society.Material/Method: The material to the study has been gathered through three interviews with persons using forum games in their work and one enquiry with 21 students in Teacher education at Uppsala University, who had recently tried the method for the first time.Main results: The conclusion of the study is that forum game has a democratic potential. Ability to communicate is important for a democratic society and participating in forum games can improve the participators communication abilities. Stress är en växande folksjukdom i Sverige och en grupp som kan vara särskilt utsatta för kumulativ stress är soldater som ligger i beredskap. Vi har från våra förfäder ärvt en förmåga att vid fara reagera med en stressreaktion som en förberedelse för kamp eller flykt, också med en reaktion som gör att vi kan bli handlingsförlamade. Om dessa reaktioner upprepas gång på gång utan att kroppen får utlopp för den höjda energinivån ökar slitaget på kroppen. Stresshormoner samlas i kroppen och byggs på och kan under en längre tidsperiod leda till kumulativ stress. Om detta fortsätter kan det leda till ett utmattningssyndrom.Syftet med uppsatsen är att kartlägga hur soldater som ligger i beredskap upplever sin allmänna hälsa och den stress som de dagligen utsätts för.
