With the increases in fuel costs due to the depletion of the world oil reserves and the increase of greenhouse gasses as a consequence to using oil as a fuel many companies are looking to new and innovative ways to power their aircraft. One of these new ways to power an aircraft is using fuel cells powered using hydrogen and oxygen, thus producing nothing but water vapour and small amounts of nitrogen dioxide as well as trace amounts of other emissions. Both Boeing (1) and Politecnico di Torino (2) have shown that it is possible to build an all-electric aircraft powered by fuel cells. Both flights used small, two-seater aircraft and a constant between them was the loss of the co-pilot seat due to weight and lack of space. As this paper will deal with a commercial aircraft a primary concern is the cargo and passenger capacity and whatever impact switching propulsion system has on these.

Multinationella företag och utländska direktinvesteringar blev ett nytt fenomen efter slutet på andra världskriget. En revolutionerande globalisering började ta form där företag ökade sina marknadsandelar genom investering och flytt till nya marknader. Denna globalisering kom inte att ske på Irland förrän på mitten av 1960-talet. Innan dess var landet slutet och nästan varken någon export eller import skedde. Idag har Irland blivit ett av de mest framgångsrika länderna i världen med att locka till sig utländska direktinvesteringar och multinationella företag.

Tomater finns i dagligvaruhandeln året runt. I Sverige finns ingen produktion av tomater vintertid och då behöver de importeras från länder som har ett varmare klimat. Sverige har en egen produktion av tomater från april till november. Trots egen produktion kan inte efterfrågan på marknaden mötas, inte ens på sommaren. I Sverige har koldioxidsskatterna och diskussionerna om fortsatta höjda skatter i framtiden fått många odlare att byta uppvärmning från fossila bränslen till förnybar energi.

Electrolux Laundry Systems is the world leader in manufacturing professional laundry equipment.The machines are used in the hotel sector, elderly care, in multifamily houses, laundry bars, and incommercial and institutional laundries.If there is oil or grease left in the clothes after washing may the heat from the dryer cause a chemicalreaction. This reaction may, under certain circumstances cause a fire inside the drum. Competitors toElectrolux has developed its own systems that extinguishes fire inside a tumble dryer and customershave expressed desire to purchase a fire-extinguishing system. Therefore, the project team receivedthe task by Electrolux to develop a fire-extinguishing system that extinguishes a fire in a tumbledryer.The purpose of the project has been to develop a system that both detects and responds to fire in anindustrial tumble dryer to meet the competitors and to satisfy customers' requirements.The goal was to develop a fire-extinguishing system for Electrolux Laundry Systems and develop afully functioning prototype.The project began with information searches on a variety of methods to both detect and extinguish afire. Subsequently, a number of different methods were used to develop a final solution and make aprototype.The result of the project is a fire-extinguishing system that extinguishes a fire inside a dryer.

Detta examensarbete handlar om hur man utformar installationer som återger platsens historia i en besöksträdgård. Dåtid möter nutid genom gestaltning av historien i tillfälliga trädgårdsinstallationer.Arbetet beskriver en gestaltningsprocess som börjar med studier av platsen. Fakta och inspirationsmaterial har samlats in, bearbetats och resulterat i tolv olika installationsförslag. Stor hänsyn är tagen till beställarens tankar och önskemål. Platsen som jag utgått från under arbetet är en Hälsingegård med anor från 1700-talet.Avgörande i arbetsprocessen har varit att det funnits mycket historia och fakta att tillgå.

The Results of this thesis was the creation of two designed house variants with a module toall the apartments. In addition till the first module there are three other modules ofapartments that can be put in the houses if it so needs. The house are volume prefabricatedand are placed on site in a way that it create an enclosure of the area which faces against thenature and car parks also lies hidden behind these houses.For the actual structure, a cross beam was created to carry the floor above and it is supportby all four walls. The structure between the first and the second floor has no "syll" butinstead there are two differently alternative to linking the floors in order so that it will notmove. The reason with this solution was that there will not be any subsidence when theforces from above are pressed down ward.

De svenska bankernas osäkra exponering mot Baltikum har varit en stor debatt i svensk media under en lång period. Den här uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka sambandet mellan de tre baltiska ekonomiernas aktiemarknader och de fyra svenska storbankerna. Vi har valt att lägga stor fokus på storbankernas kreditriskexponering, eftersom den har haft stor fokus på sig i media. För att förbättra trovärdigheten för uppsatsen har vi valt att undersöka ett generalindex för hela Baltikum och jämföra det med den svenska aktiemarknaden. Vi gör det i syfte att kontrollera att sambandet mellan de två marknaderna inte är för stark, eftersom de övriga sambanden vi hittar mellan storbankerna och de baltiska indexen då kan vara ett resultat av en större samvariation.

This report investigates what attitude private forest owners in the County of Stockholm, Sweden have towards biodiversity landconservation. Private landowners were asked to answer a questionnaire containing questions about there property and there attitude towards biodiversity. The results show that private landowners attitude towards biodiversity is affected by, amongst other things, the size of their property; a larger property have a more negative owner than a smaller property. A landowner that lives on his property has a more negative attitude towards biodiversity than a landowner that?s not living on his property.

This Masters Degree thesis aims at giving an answer to what underlying ideologies are at work in digitizing our cultural heritage. Other questions to be answered are who are benefiting from a digitized cultural heritage and who are not, and what different opinions about digitizing our cultural heritage can be identified. Two studies are made in this thesis, one of Swedish political documents that concern digitizing our cultural heritage, libraries, museums and archives, and the other one is a study of documentation of three Swedish digitizing projects. In the first study three different, but closely associated ideologies are identified, namely a preserving, b giving access and c a mixture of both, and these are shown in a model. In the second study this model is then used to identify the ideologies of one project from each sector of the so called ABM-sector Archives, Libraries and Museums.

Vid värdering till verkligt värde redovisas orealiserade värdeförändringar över resultaträkningen. Då bankfinansiering är vanligt förekommande i både Sverige och Storbritannien borde positiva värdeförändringar vara fördelaktigt för fastighetsföretag eftersom orealiserade värdeförändringar medför att värdet på fastighetsbeståndet, uttryckt som säkerhetsmassa vid upptagande av lån, ökar. Ökad säkerhetsmassa i sin tur medför att fastighetsföretagen få mer fördelaktiga lånevillkor.

This text answers the questions how do we define what a campus is, how the concept of the campus came to exist and how it is used today, and how the Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) campus can be designed according to site conditions and the conclusions drawn from case studies at Chalmers University of Technology and Karlstad University. The purpose of the case studies is to gain insight into their campuses advantages and disadvantages. This finally results in an interpretation of how the Blekinge Institute of Technology campus can be planned. A campus is the area of land on which a college or university and its surrounding buildings resides on. Campus as a concept meant a field at first, it later evolved at American universities due to their design of college campuses.

This essay studies how advertisements in various anti-smoking campaigns can influence and persuade by using anti-logos as counter-arguments to the tobacco industry's logos. In contrast to tobacco advertising arguments such as freedom (logos), pleasure (pathos) and trademark (ethos) the anti-smoking campaigns create anti-logos arguments with various connotations such as repulsive pictures and sexual implications to influence groups of people not to start smoking or to quit smoking.Advertisement of tobacco does not exist nowadays due to legal restrictions in the western world; however several decades of myths created in the consumer consciousness still exist. Thus one can speak of a tobacco advertising ideology that exists and the various anti-smoking campaigns trying to change that ideology.The purpose of anti-smoking campaigns is to conduct a kategoria of myth that tobacco advertisement has created over the years. Anti smoking organizations do this by creating a new ideology to affect consumer?s attitude toward smoking and the tobacco myth with an anti-myth.

This master thesis consists of an investigation of the profitability per hectare in privatly owned forest land. The investigation is based on data collected from Skogsstyrelesen, Riksskogstaxeringen and Skogsforsk. During the last twenty years the prices on pulp wood and saw log have substantial decreased, but during the same time the the volumes from final felling have increased and the cost for felling has decreased, this investigation shows how the netprofit per hectARE after final felling has changed between year 1980-2005 This investigation shows that that the netprofit has stayed on a stable level during the years 1985-2005 even though prices pulp wood and saw log decreased. Much indicates that the demand of swedish pulp wood and saw log will continue to be strong or even stronger wich will give increased prices and an higher netprofit after final felling in the future.

Sverige är ett mångkulturellt land med invandring sedan en lång tid tillbaka. Det finns idag cirka 200 000 muslimska kvinnor i Sverige och sjukgymnaster möter dagligen muslimska kvinnor i sitt yrke, vilket kan ge upphov till problem av språklig, kulturell, etnisk och medicinsk art. Syftet med studien var att belysa sjukgymnasters erfarenheter av att arbeta med patientgruppen muslimska kvinnor. Fem sjukgymnaster i invandrartäta förorter i södra Sverige deltog i studien. Resultatet i studien visar att informanterna upplever stora individuella skillnader hur kultur och religion påverkar de muslimska kvinnornas synsätt och därmed agerande vid kontakt med sjukgymnast.

Det mänskliga ingreppet i, eller möjliga makten över, naturen är ett återkommande tema i mitt konstnärliga arbete. Människan är inbegripen i ett bräckligt maktförhållande som hela tiden måste underhållas. Våra gränser delar upp landskapet i olika delar genom vägar och staket, vi dominerar genom att forma och tukta naturen i trädgårdar, odlingar och industrier. Det mänskliga ingreppet kan också vara små subtila skillnader i det orörda landskapet som låter dig ana att någon varit där.Jag har inte för avsikt att framhålla en särskild sorts natursyn. Det är en mängd nedslag på kartan.
