Mitt arbetes syfte är att på kronologiskt och tematiskt vis presentera och analysera de olikasätt på vilka politiska åsikter och samhällsmässiga problem har presenterats och beartbetats i amerikanska serietidningar under tiden mellan 1950 och år 2000, samt att undersöka hur serietidningen i sig har utvecklats som medium under samma tidsperiod. Mitt arbete är först uppdelat i tidsperioder om tio år och sedan inom olika tematiska underrubriker som avser att behandla viktiga politiska eller branschrelaterade aspekter.Den tidigare forskningen jag tagit del av är uteslutande engelskspråkig och innefattar bl.a Bradford W. Wrights Comic Book Nation, Paul Lopes Demanding Respect och Fredrik Strömbergs Comic Art Propaganda som alla behandlar den amerikanska serietidningens utveckling och delvis deras politiska innehåll.De källor jag använt mig av är en hel uppsjö avamerikanska seriepublikationer från de tre största förlagen i USA, Marvel Comics, DC Comics och Image Comics med inledande fokus på de två förstnämnda. Jag kommer i mitt arbete fram till att serietidningarna gått från att vara ett politiskt drivetmedie under 50-talet, till att vara ett som lägger mer fokus på de enskilda individerna och karaktärsutveckling.Utvecklingen har också medfört att serietidningarna överlag blivit alltmörkare och hårdare, inte nödvändigtvis med ett större fokus på våld, men i alla fall en större acceptans för det våldsamma. 50-talet har fokus på den allmäna kommunistskräcken och den produktionskod som begränsade och censurerade serietidningarnas innehåll.

Den stora manliga dominansen inom musikbranschen, och dess olika villkor fo?r kvinnor och ma?n, har lett till uppkomsten av organisationer som vill utja?mna ko?nsbalansen. Popkollo fo?rso?ker uppna? detta genom att ordna musikla?ger, speciellt riktade till tjejer.Syftet med min underso?kning a?r att fa?nga unga musicerande tjejers bera?ttelser om sina upplevelser innan, under, och efter ett Popkollo. Dessa upplevelser skildrar jag utifra?n en kvalitativ intervjustudie med 18 kollodeltagare fra?n sommaren 2013.

Jag vill som blivande lärare i huvudämnet Kultur, Medier och Estetiska uttrycksformer introducera och presentera ett alternativt läromedel och medium i syfte att berika undervisningen samt ge förslag på ytterligare vägar till identifikation och kommunikation i klassrummet. Jag har gjort detta i form av ett projekt vilket har resulterat i en handbok. Denna handbok har som syfte att dels fungera som en introduktion för pedagogen i att lära sig läsa och förstå mediet, samtidigt som jag vill att den ska verka som en inspirationskälla med tips och idéer för fortsatt undervisning i klassrummet. Arbetsprocessen och mina tankar kring handboken finns presenterade i projektredogörelsen. I förarbetet till handboken gjorde jag även en analys av ett läromedel och en serie vilken finns presenterad i en bilaga till projektredogörelsen..

This essay analyzes three Swedish cartoon artists: Elias Ericson, Lisa Ewald and AmandaCasanellas. The aim is to examine how they construct feminist strategies through their workand how they convey this visually. The issue of whether these Swedish cartoons can be seenas a part of a bigger political platform is central. Through semiotics and post-colonial andqueer feminist theory, some answers to these questions are searched for.The result shows that all three of the artists can be seen in a bigger activist context, even ifthey work in and through different platforms. Casanellas questions the racism in Swedenand how we should prevent it.

Denna undersökningen är ett försök att se hur mycket av ämnesundervisning, kursplan och kursmål som kan rymmas inom serietecknande som (undervisnings) metod. Genom att knyta an till elevers egen kulturkonsumtion hoppas jag kunna knyta an ny kunskap till det eleven redan är bekant med. Serier blir då här som en brygga mellan det de redan vet och det de ska lära. Arbetet genomförs genom undervisningsförsök som vetenskaplig metod och genom diskursanalys av seriemediet. Jag tycker mig se genom detta arbete att man ur det seriemassiga, serierna i sig och serierelaterat innehåll i allmänhet, kan skapa en pedagogisk metod för bildämnet.Detta är ett s.k.

This study examines how the American comic book industry?s output is addressing the issue of Islam and in which manner the portrayal of Islam in the great American comic book universes have changed since 2001. The comic books are examined from the postcolonial perspective as formulated by Chandra Mohanty and the power and resistance-perspective as formulated by Michel Foucault. Examination of the comic books reveals far greater focus on universal values, orthopraxy and inclusive perspectives than it does on dogmatic teachings, orthodoxy and sectarianism while at the same time partly relying on generalizations and archetypes concerning Islam. To change the power balance requires what I call intervention from the objective, that is to say that ambiguity regarding Muslim characters has to be eliminated by the narrative.

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine the handling and shelving of graphic novels and adult-Comics in Swedish public libraries, in order to find out if this type of literature is prioritized in the same way as other forms of literature. The study was conducted by photographing the Hci/uHci shelves at ten different public libraries to give an objective view of the shelving to later be analysed and compared. Inquiry sheets were sent to the photographed libraries in order to get the librarians view of their own comic book shelves and collections. We found that the state of the comic-shelves differed from library to library according to how interested and committed the librarians were. New research areas in the field of Library and Information Science are discussed and questions are raised about the future of graphic novels and adult-comic-books in libraries, about their place in the libraries and about how librarians and the users knowledge of this media can be improved..
