When an organisation is going through a work of change, it is highly important that both management and employees has a healthy communication in order to make everybody feel involved. It is then important to be observant for both the managements and employees thoughts and ideas.This study has been performed on an upper secondary school which is performing a work of change. The change has divided the employees in three different groups. One, which thinks the change have evolved the organisation to something better. The second group of people means that it is preventing individual development of competence.

The aim of the project is to develop a tool for a management system at the advertising agency ofConfetti. The company has during a longer period of time felt a need of introducing a quality and environmentalsystem but have a lack in resources of knowledge, time and money. Their goal is to have aconcrete documentation which describes their quality policy and the function of the activity.The work has been performed by mapping and analyzing the processes of the company according tothe process model with focus on one pilot process. New routines have been developed and documentedin a management system.Confetti would like their management system to fulfil the ISO-standard so that they eventually inthe future can be certified. Therefore a literature study has been done according to management systemsand standards.

Riskmiljön i dagens samhälle är under ständig förändring och påverkar människan i både privat- och arbetslivet. Det blir allt viktigare för företag och organisationer att arbeta förebyggande mot risker som påverkar säkerhetsfrågor, miljöfrågor och ekonomiska intressen. Ett arbetssätt för att analysera och hantera en verksamhets riskmiljö är Risk Management. Huvudsyftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva och analysera hur Helikopterflottiljen Malmen och Scania AB arbetar med Risk Management med fokus på miljöarbete. Studien bygger på två fallstudier som har utförts genom kvalitativa intervjuer.

Denna rapport är skriven inom ramen för magisterkursen Management och på uppdrag av HSB Malmö. Rapporten är indelad i tre delar där den första utgör huvuddelen och syftar till att spegla vårt projektarbete på HSB Malmö. I denna delen beskrivs och tolkas HSB Malmö i nuläget, samt presenteras rekommendationer till hur ledningen i framtiden bättre ska kunna skapa organisatoriska förutsättningar för ett strategiskt förändringsarbete. Utifrån vårt syfte och den information som vi samlat in, har vi valt ut ett antal teman som vi anser är mest intressanta och utmanande för HSB Malmö att jobba med i önskan om att nå större framgång i strategiskt förändringsarbete. Dessa teman (medlemsorganisation eller vinstdrivande företag?, kundorientering, kommunikation och information, kompetens, visionsarbete, ledarskap, företagskultur och organisationsstruktur) utgör grunden för den diagnos av situationen på HSB Malmö som vi presenterar i rapporten.

Det har länge påvisats fördelar med innovation och effektivisering av verksamheter. Med konceptetambidexterity har ett senare forskningsparadigm försökt förklara hur organisationer lyckas uppnåbåde innovation och effektivisering samtidigt genom att balansera strategiska initiativ.Denna litteraturstudie ämnar att visa vad existerande forskning ger för svar på hur organisationerkan uppnå ambidexterity ur ett IT-management perspektiv. Genom att kombinera litteratur omambidexterity med litteratur om IT-förmågor (IT-baserade organisationsförmågor för att möjliggörastrategi och initiativ) ger denna studie en bild av vad existerande litteratur kan ge svar på och vadsom saknas.Studien påvisar många likheter mellan de förutsättningar som beskrivs för att uppnå ambidexterityoch IT-management som organisationsförmåga. Däremot existerar en avsaknad av djupareförklaringar vad gäller de komponenter som IT-management som organisationsförmåga innefattar..

The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of the Convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, CEDAW, in Uppsala local council and county council. The aim is to examine how the respondents, in their daily work, understand and implement the convention as well as how they consider the prerequisites for a successful implementation. The study was conducted using qualitative interviews with three civil servants and four politicians. The theoretical approach was implementation theory whose concepts willingness, comprehension and capability were used as tools for the analysis. The results portray CEDAW as a well-known treaty amongst the respondents but at the same time absent in local politics and everyday work.

The aim of this masters thesis is to learn how an organization has solved its information management via intranet and document management. The purpose is to identify what different types of information are made available via an intranet, how this information is structured and what functions the intranet includes. Conventions, directions and advice about intranets and document management were studied, with the purpose to compare whether the systems of the company correlate with these. Other issues considered in the thesis, are how the employees of the organization use the intranet and how the document management is organized. To get an understanding of these questions the structure and functions of the intranet were studied empirically and a questionnaire on what the employees need and use, concerning the intranet, was sent out to 130 employees.

The reason for the economical crisis varies for each individual case but common for them all is that it is the management group that has failed in their work to guide the organisation to avoid a negative result. The next common denominator is that it is the management group that has to handle the changes in the company's environment and lead the company out of the crisis. But how can they do this and take decisions in a rational and effective way and is there warnings signals that the management group missed before the crisis was a fact? The aim of this essay is to analyze the political interests of the United States Government in Turkey, from 1997 to spring 2007, using a qualitative method. I will also analyze any strategic changes during this period, by using theories of realism, particularly Structure Realism and Rational Choice. Using the Rational Actor Model (RAM), I will analyze how nation states such as the United States act in the political arena in Turkey. How can the US Government legitimize the support to Turkey and at the same time criticize there democratic deficit and their view on human rights. This masters thesis is a study of the ideas brought forward in the literary magazine 40-tal. The methodology involves the adaptation of a literary sociological perspective where the ideas of the young literary avantgarde in the magazine 40-tal interplays with the established philosophy of the Swedish society during the period 1944-47. The main purpose has been to examine 40-tal as a product of supreme individuality that originates a unique climate of ideas which exceeds the involved collaborators individual writings. I have thereby related my analysis to the Marxist oriented theories of Raymond Williams. This has been done in order to see how the external pressure of the social structure and the market acts together with the internal pressure of keeping up with the times and how this affects the individual authors and the process of creating.

This study is about how a swedish brand within the food industry that experiences a crisis following a product failure. It focuses on three areas following the crisis and these are crisis management, recovery strategies and brand management. This study seeks to explain how these areas interact in relation to massive exposure to mass media and how they interact restore the brand's potential loss of reputation. This study was conducted as a case study with a deductive and qualitative approach. The data gathered to this study was mainly based on newspaper articles and complemented with semi-structured interviews with twelve local retailers of the brand..

This master?s paper first presents some of the principal theories and concepts developed by the poverty researchers Rowntree, Titmuss, Townsend, Sen and Lister. These theoretical frameworks are then related to two documents from the EU and Sweden concerning combating poverty and social exclusion, bearing on the establishment of the ?Year 2010 against Poverty?. Finally, I discuss the value in practice of these theories and policy documents, as regards reducing poverty in Europe.It has become clear in this investigation that the theories and concepts from earlier research are still relevant to the formulation of contemporary policy programmes, and that earlier research helps us to avoid old traps in fighting poverty.

Sportindustrin blir alltmer marknadsdriven. För att kunna bedriva effektiv marknadsföring blir det allt vanligare att strategiskt arbeta med att utveckla varumärken, brand management, som man använder sig av för att genom olika kommunikationskanaler attrahera konsumenter. Många av Sveriges specialförbund arbetar idag konkret med sport brand management. Svenska Ridsportförbundet (SvRF) har inte tidigare arbetat med sport brand management varav syftet med denna uppsats därför är att påbörja en varumärkesutveckling genom att identifiera och beskriva SvRF:s varumärke från ett internt perspektiv samt undersöka hur förbundet genom sport brand management kan utveckla verksamheten.  Uppsatsen bygger på en fallstudie med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys som inkluderar semistrukturerade intervjuer med anställda på förbundet. I empirin presenteras SvRF:s erbjudande, varumärke och verksamhetsmål samt några av de viktigaste faktorer som påverkar ridsportens utveckling.
