According to recent statistics the construction industry is responsible for the largest waste discharges of both dangerous and non-dangerous waste, when disregarding the "non-dangerous" amount of granite waste produced by the mining industry and the waste produced by the pulp and paper industry. Preventive work within waste management is an ongoing practice so to be able to reduce negative environmental effects. One of the most common actions for the companies to take is to separate the different kinds of waste from one another at the construction site. Although by working with the problem in earlier stages of the process a large amount of the waste could already have been reduced.Companies in the construction business that are actively working to decrease environmental impact in their operations often use an EMS (Environmental Management System). By using environmental management as method the company can manage their environmental work so that actions can be taken where they are needed the most.

Motivation: The aim of this study has been to conduct a comparative study concerning how race, ethnicity and class is represented in American contrary to Swedish daily press and from there on to explore and explain similarities and differences that have been found in the material.Problem statement:? How is race, ethnicity and class represented in American contrary Swedish daily press?? What are the similarities and differences between the countries? daily news flow?? What causes the similiarities and differences to achieve their current form?Material: The material which has been the subject of this study consists of eight articles ? four American articles (USA Today) and four Swedish articles (Dagens Nyheter). The material has been elected to meet certain criterias and mainly discusses the effects the health care reform will have on the American population.Approach: The material has been approached by using theories concerned with race, ethnicity, class and framing. The method used to analyze the material was Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA).Results: The results shows significant similarities, although mainly differences, between the countries? daily news flow.

In this essay I analyze the performative aspects relating to Marina Abramovi?'s The Artist Is Present, which took place in spring 2010 at MoMA in New York, from the context of the artist and work, institution and documentation. In this performance work, for the duration of the exhibition, Abramovi? sits completely still opposite another chair where anyone from the audience may sit. The art arises through this participation.

Den 1 oktober 2009 trädde en ny kommissionslag (KommL) i kraft. Syftet vara att skapa tidsenliga regler och ett mer jämbördigt avtalsförhållande. För att uppnå detta syfte fick lag om handelsagentur (HagL) stå modell vid utformningen av KommL:s nya bestämmelser och lagarna är nu därför i stort överensstämmande. Det finns dock fortfarande skillnader mellan lagarna som är viktiga att uppmärksamma då det på flertalet områden är oklart vad som gäller vid tillämpningen och olikheterna i vissa fall kan medföra stora konsekvenser för parterna. I denna uppsats behandlas regleringen i den nya kommissionslagen och vilka skillnader som finns i förhållande till HagL samt effekterna av dessa skillnader.

Magdalena Rudenschöld (born 1766, died 1823) was a woman in Swedish history, who lived a turbulent life. As a young woman she was employed at the Swedish court and got to know the king of that time, Gustaf III, and she became the mistress of one of his closest deputies, Gustaf Mauritz Armfelt. After the killing of Gustaf III, a temporary government was formed. This was a regency that was put there on behalf of Prince Gustaf Adolf, since he was not yet of age to run the country. This study is conducted with a focus on managers and its different forms as found in a nation wide Swedish bedroom specialist-organisation, Sängjätten. The aim of this study is to investigate how Swedish listed real estate companies use quantitative sustainability measures - mainly sustainability index with a financial focus. Sustainability management is a controversial issue that is used more and more constructive. A sustainable management approach in corporate cunduct is complex and based on a number of aspects of business visions, objectives and daily procedures. The study identifies aspects that are considered relevant in real estate companies where the selection of sustainability indicators is based on the support of scientific research in this field. Bakgrund: Redovisnings- och företagsskandaler som ägde rum på 2000-talet i USA och flera europeiska länder satte fart på bolagsstyrningsdebatten. Många länder började införa regler med syfte att förbättra bolagsstyrningen och öka förtroendet för näringslivet. Sverige drabbades liksom andra länder av redovisningsskandaler, och som följd till detta infördes den svenska koden för bolagsstyrning för att återuppbygga marknadens förtroende för de svenska bolagen. Första juli 2005 tillämpades koden i Stockholmsbörsen för alla bolag på A-listan och O-listan med börsvärde över 3 miljarder kronor det vill säga de bolag som ingick i kategorin Large Cap.Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka och analysera hur bolag på OMX Stockholmsbörsen, Large Cap, avviker från koden och om de avviker från samma punkter i koden samt hur utförligt förklarar dessa bolag avvikelserna. Med hjälp av vetenskapliga artiklar som teoretiskt perspektiv vill jag få förståelse för varför koden finns och varför bolag avviker från den samt undersöka om koden fungerar som det var tänkt.Metod: För att undersöka i vilken omfattning bolag avviker från koden och vilka punkter det som bolagen avviker från har jag läst igenom och granskat bolagens årsredovisningar och bolagsstyrningsrapporter.Teoretisk referensram: I detta kapitel har jag tagit upp tidigare forskning som handlar om andra länders bolagskoder och principen följa eller förklara, samt orsaker till varför bolag väljer att följa eller avvika från koden.

The aim of this Master thesis was to examine news journalism covering expressions of mourning related to violent or unexpected deaths. What rituals for mourning are brought out in media and do media present guidance to how mourners should behave? The questions examined were: What characterised news events that leaded to texts on expressions of mourning? How was grief framed? Which narrative patterns were there in the texts? How was the deceased represented? How were the mourners represented? 165 texts, from Swedish daily newspapers, covering 93 different news events were analysed. The methods were mainly discourse analysis with focus on identities and relations, but also semiotic analysis with focus on staging and symbols and narrative analysis with focus on patterns for storytelling. The result showed that a news story about ordinary people expressing their feelings of grief has elements of melodrama. The news story is based on the myth of the victim, and formed as a typical story where equilibrium is disturbed when the inconceivable happens and the mourners can by their actions restore equilibrium.
