Integration genom språk och museipedagogik : Integration through language and museum education
The purpose of this thesis is to analyze how museums, seen as heterotopic places where time and space act simultaneously, can, with the help of museum educators and guides, integrate the foreign citizens in Sweden. The analysis is done with the help of three institutions: The Vasa Museum, the Royal Armory and The Great Synagogue in Stockholm. The author of the thesis argues that recruiting trained personnel with foreign roots by museums would help significantly in the creation of a sense of collective identity and belonging among those citizens who are just adapting to the country. Through the use of Swedish, in conjunction with their mother tongue, as well as analogies, an important contribution can be attained in their integration. In this work, concepts such as the accent, are treated in a categorical manner, as the author, with the assistance of other researchers, concluded that the accent should not influence the perception of the intellectual and work capability of a professional museum educator/guide.History represents another key element in this thesis, as it discusses the way to find a new narrative form to channel history and refer to it, thus sharing historical roots with these new immigrants in Sweden..

Malassezia otit hos hund : utvärdering av lokal behandling med betametason, ekonazol respektive ättiks- och borsyrelösning
Malassezia otitis in dogs is a common cause of visit to a veterinary service. In otitis externa due to Malassezia overgrowth the dog has a higher number of yeast organisms and/or a local inflammatory response to the micro organism. Common clinical signs include pruritus, erythema, swelling and increased exudate production. Clinical symptoms and results from cytology of ear swabs from the ear canal is the mainstay for diagnosis. Any underlying condition has to be identified and corrected to avoid relapse.
The treatment options for infective otitis externa are based upon topical administration of eardrops containing antibiotics, steroids and antifungals.
Samspelet mellan naturbaserade arbetssätt och specialpedagogik: En kritisk studie
AbstractThis essay aims to problematize and illuminate the connection between special-education and nature-based activities. With a theoretical ground that is based upon a sociocultural perspective I consider the information from the field. Through a qualitative and critical perspective I performed individual interviews with five pupils from the sixth school-year in the Swedish elementary-school. I also performed Focus-group interviews with two educators and three teachers in the same school-form. By a Hermeneutical working-method I have found out that the informants in my survey have a common experience that activities performed in nature has a positive effect on learning.
Pedagogisk dokumentation : Ett perspektiv på lärande i förskolan
This study deals with pedagogical documentation. With a revised preschool curriculum, where this is a crucial aid for illustrating the learning process of children and educators, aswell as demonstrating the activities of the school, it is of the utmost relevance to further explorethis notion. The study focuses on a single municipality and explores the various ways inwhich its preschools do in reality deal with this issue in correlation with the actual visions andgoals set by that municipality. Through a series of qualitative interviews with educators aswell as with the municipality Head of Education, this study outlines how educational documentationis in fact applied in the schools in question. The gathered data has been interpretedwith a power perspective as well as with a sociocultural perspective in mind.
Islandshästar med hosta och/eller prestationsnedsättning : skiljer de sig åt jämfört med andra raser?
The purpose of the study was to investigate whether or not Icelandic horses are
less severely affected in clinical symptoms of cough or decreased performance
than other breeds of horses. A breed variation in chronic respiratory disease
severity was suspected based on clinical experience at the Institution for surgery &
medicine, large animal, SLU Uppsala. A retrospective journal study of 17
Icelandic horses and 17 Swedish Standardbred horses with chronic problems with
cough and/or decreased performance compared several measurements of disease
severity.
The clinical signs, physical examination and laboratory testing results compared
were respiratory rate, abdominal breathing, lung auscultation, endoscopy results,
broncho-alveolar lavage (BAL) results and the blood gases pO2 and pCO2. All
parameters were available for all 34 individuals except for the blood gases, which
were analysed, in only four Icelandic horses and four Swedish Standardbred
horses.
The only parameters that appeared different between the two groups were
respiratory rate and pO2. The four Icelandic horses, which had blood gases
analysed, had more severe hypoxemia.

To achieve my goal, I formulated the following questions to be explored and answered through interviews with five teachers. Does mathematics in preschool classes have a prominent role in educators' planning? What perception do the educators in the field have about the learning and teaching of mathematics in the preschool classes? How do the teachers understand their own work with mathematics in preschool classes in relation to multilingual students? A qualitative interview method was applied.
Elefantens könsorgan, reproduktion och embryoutveckling
Hydropericardium or pericardial effusion (PE) is the accumulation of fluid in the pericardial sac and is often secondary to pericardial diseases or diseases related to the heart. It is unusual with clinically relevant pericardial diseases in cats but pericardial effusion is the most common one.
Since PE causes serious symptoms and may lead to death it is important with a quick diagnosis and treatment. PE can be acute and cause cardiac tamponade, which gives severe clinical signs. Cardiac tamponade needs to be treated immediately or else the cat will die from cardiogenic chock. More common is chronic PE where the fluid accumulates during a longer period of time and the pericardial sac stretches.
Religionskunskap i mellanstadiet
The study will examine how teachers relate to religious studies for middle school students. Religious studies are the oldest but also the most contested subject undergoing the most changes over time. The subject is far from being obvious. Politicians and people within the school community disagree about the subject?s content and its name, some within the school system but also politicians like to call it topic of life studies or belief studies, while others want to keep the name religion studies.

Konflikthantering : Att lösa konflikter med fokus på barnets bästa

I referred to the following questions:? How to reflect pre-school teachers on conflict management at the preschool?? What methods / approaches tell teachers that they use in conflict management?? How the children reflect on their experiences on conflict management at the preschool? In the background, Im trying to define the word conflict, and I also point to the methods and models that are already in conflict management. It is clear that a key ingredient in the conflict is communication, the question is how well we communicate with each other?I've done interviews with three active educators and four children to study this subject.
Tillfrisknande och användning av hästar med fång :
Laminitis has crippled horses through times and many cures have been used to
treat it. Since the mechanism of the disease is yet not fully understood, treatments
are only ways to alleviate the pain and at best, slow down the pathological process
enough to make time for improvement. This paper is a retrospective study of 71
horses treated by a protocol at Hästsjukhuset Strömsholm. The protocol implies
three visits at zero, five and fifteen weeks. At each the horse is evaluated and
treated by a veterinarian.
