A Monte Carlo simulation of the ELECTRA reactor using (U,Zr)N fuel and a liquid lithium coolant is performed using the Serpent simulation code. The results show a reactor with a total reactivity coefficient of the coolant, fuel and material expansion that is strongly negative. These properties make the ELECTRA reactor a good candidate for a safe space reactor that could be used for propulsion of manned and unmanned space vehicles to Mars and other parts of our solar system..

The national spatial planning guidelines and the subsequent legal regulation in the Natural Resources Act and the Environmental Code has been a part of the Swedish planning system for almost 40 years. In the recent years, critics have claimed that the regulations are outdated and does not work the way it was intended. This paper examines closer why it is perceived that the regulations does not work, with a focus on how the national interests are managed in the municipal planning. Why is the national interests not applied in the municipal planning as intended? Is the error in the system or in the implementation of it? The aim of this essay is to study the gap between theory and practice by studying how the land management provisions in the Environmental Code is applied in five selected municipalities.

I work with and through glass and it´s from this field and tradition my work springs from. I am interested in how we look at and judge different expressions. I have been taught what visual expressions and shapes that are being appreciated and accepted and how to create objects like that. It should be clean, smooth, simplistic, and utterly pleasing. Deposits appear in both image areas and non-image areas.These areas have been analyzed and the deposits on non-image areas contain chalk, clay and talc. Thequestion remains how these material bond to the blanket surface. The chalk and clay comes from thepaper. The talc comes from the ink.

I studien undersöks vilka samband som existerar mellan reglerna i Koden angående styrelsen och Small Cap företagens lönsamhet, mätt som räntabilitet på totalt kapital. Sambanden används sedan för att avgöra om reglerna i Koden är korrekt utformade eller om de behöver modifieras.

This report contains CFD-simulations of cable tray fires in nuclear power plant applications with the CFD-code SMAFS. Furthermore the report evaluates the use of CFD-codes within this kind of problems. The assessment of this report is that there is a tendency towards the good use of CFD-codes but before using it solely more research has to be done on the subject..

In Abisko National Park there are a numberof weather stations. To be able toretrieve the data from the nodes in thefuture a Quadrocopter-prototype has beendeveloped during this master thesisproject as a first step. A quadrocopter isa helicopter with four rotors placed in across formation. The quadrocopter cannavigate autonomous between different GPSpositionsthat are updated during flighttrough Xbee-modules. ABB Capacitors Ludvika started their LEAN-project in november 2010, but still has not the whole factory been introduced to the LEAN-tool called 5S. 5S is only implemented on the ?easiest? work-areas.By implementing 5S, at the workingstation called inburkningen, would make the workstation and the area around it much more structured, clean and systematized. The operators are a little bit skeptical to the work that includes continuous improvement today, because they can not see any progresses. If 5S were implememted the operators would be able to avoid searching for tools because with 5S, each tool will have a specified place at the workstation.5S would simplify the cooperation between the shifts, because 5S includes clear instructions for how the workstations will be cleaned after each shift.This report will include my recommendations, thoughts and opinions regarding however ABB Capacitors Ludvika should implement or not implement the LEAN-tool 5S.
